- "I Don't Know How to Love Him" is a song from the 1970 rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar written by Andrew Lloyd Webber (music) and Tim Rice (lyrics), a torch ballad sung by the character of Mary Magdalene who in Jesus Christ Superstar is presented as bearing an unrequited love for the title character. The song has been much recorded with "I Don't Know How to Love Him" long being unique for having two versions concurrently in the Top 30 of the Hot 100 chart in Billboard magazine, specifically those recorded by Helen Reddy and Yvonne Elliman.
Sarah Brightman (born 14 August 1960) is an English classical crossover soprano, actress, songwriter and dancer. She is famous for possessing a vocal range of over 3 octaves and singing in the whistle register. She sings in many languages including English, Spanish, French, Latin, German, Italian, Russian, Hindi, Mandarin Chinese and Japanese.
Brightman began her career as a member of the dance troupe Hot Gossip and released several disco singles as a solo performer. In 1981, she made her West End musical theatre debut in Cats and met composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, whom she married. She went on to star in several Broadway musicals, including The Phantom of the Opera, where she originated the role of Christine Daaé. The Original London Cast Album of the musical was released in CD format in 1987 and sold over 40 million copies worldwide, making it the biggest-selling cast album of all time.

This was one of my mother's favorite song 😍 she used to sang this when my father was still alive. As I grow older I had a realization,my mama once said she doesn't loved my papa

Who would have thought that their marriage would reached 37years with 10 children 😅 and 25 grandchildren. Now I still felt the pained what my mama been through,its been 3years since my papa pass away and My mama Still Love Him, Till death do they part.

Sarah Bright man is so talented. This song is from “Jesus Christ Super Star”. I think this is the best song from that play/movie. Andrew Lloyd Webber composed the music. And what a brilliant writer/composer he is. He is only person who has ever had three plays on Broadway at the same time!!!

An angels voice. I skated to this many years ago. You can just feel the music. It moves you. Yvonne Elliman sang it in the Jesus Christ Soundtrack- worth a listen. So much heart in her version.

Anthony Otero No, it isn’t sad. What you think is a god’s love, is imaginary. As of today, gods are imaginary. You have faith that some sort of a god loves you, guides you, or whatever. I once was a man of faith, but the fact is, once I let go of my superstitions, my spirituality was augmented 100 times. Because I was no longer crediting a supernatural source for the beauty of family and nature. When you give credit to the natural realm (reality) over the supernatural realm (imaginary) you really become enlightened. It’s sad, when people fail to live in reality. And as the wise Albert Einstein once said “Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by the fear of punishment or the hope of reward after death”.

Also, please know that I have no interest in changing your beliefs. Also, you should know that I’m not concerned with you changing my beliefs, as I have no beliefs. I have disbeliefs. Which is different than having beliefs. For example, I do not believe that leprechauns don’t exist. I disbelieve they do. A belief is absent as I dismiss the claim completely. By the way, it is a fact that as of today, leprechauns and god’s are equal claims with equal proof. This is also not a belief, but a fact. God’s have more believers, but the amount of believers do not make the claim more valid. Only “proof” gives validity to a claim. As of today, both god’s and leprechauns have zero proof. This is perfection! Her voice is so crystal clear. This song always brings me to tears, to the point where I feel the emotion move through me and there is no stopping the tears. Happens EVERY time I listen to it. This version, and the one by Helen Reddy, are my favorites, although all the other versions are truly beautiful.
