    Bloopers approx one minute from end
    This video is an hour of footage compressed into a 10min video.
    I bring my Tamiya BBX to a local dirt track on an off day when the track hasnt been made ready yet, so it is rougher than it usually is. I started off rocky, but soon fell into a nice groove. Let me know what you’d like to see more of.
    ^ how many times do I say “beans” in this video?

    Hi there Rex, after those small teething issues, the BBX started to rip around well, sorry it was a noisy though. That’s the thing with ‘kidney beans’ they can catch you out here and there 😂😂😂😊😊nice running. Best wishes to you and the family 😊😊

    Nice you got out on the track with it! Being 2wd with the narrow rear tires it is gonna be a slippering ride! From up top the track looks really nice and smooth but the up close showed it was a bit rough in spots from the rains so that wasn't in your favor either! It still looked like a good way to spend an afternoon out there learning things!

    What options are out for better tires? Mine is still on backorder with Tower.

    • @rexrcs
      @rexrcs  Год назад +1

      Depends on your surface, loose stuff calls for Soft compound with small pins, high grip surface, harder compounds to prevent traction roll or grip flip, also depends on your driving, some run an uneven staggered setup. You’ll feel it.
      Hope you get yours soon

  • @toyolien1694
    @toyolien1694 Год назад +1

    Did the changes you made to the rear dampers stop the drive shafts from popping out? Would you still recommend the BBX, even with it's issues?

    • @rexrcs
      @rexrcs  Год назад +3

      The changes to the rear shock did not prevent it from popping out, but does help. You could add one more oring but you wont get full compression anymore from an individual side during sway.
      Im going to tear apart the gearbox again to find what this issue is, as it stands, my only issue is this ticking gearbox, pretty sure im the only one though so thats not a common issue it seems.
      The buggy is amazing in strength and looks, i smashed a tree and a concrete curb head on and nothing broke, in terms of driving, you could make any buggy drive almost any way you want, for me, its about the chassis design, i dont love working on it because i have to open so much to get inside, but its a very nice option compared to the typical tub chassis delta wing shaped buggies available today, every other buggy is meant for tracks, this one sacrificed some track design for scale model looks, i like it very much so far.
      Is it worth it? Depends what it costs in your area and of its worth it to YOU as an individual

    • @rexrcs
      @rexrcs  11 месяцев назад +1

      Ive seen a lot of people run between 3500/4000kv on youtube and its ridiculously quick, most of them flip at those speeds when trying to turn as the suspension lends itself to lots of body roll.
      Id try a 13.5 turn myself, try this one- amzn.to/3rnFznv
      And you will need a sensor cable- amzn.to/46kEnA4
      You can also increase the pinion gear size for more top speed

      This is a great buggy, ive had quite a few crashes and its unscathed, head on into a concrete curb , it just bounced off… head on into a tree and it flew and popped a driveshaft but i just popped that sucker back in and voila. Its not all sunshine and rainbows but I will save that for a video in the future “things i hate about my xyz”
