Farmer's delight let's you "cut" a block of quartz (and I believe specifically block of quartz, not smooth quartz) with a pickaxe to get quartz on a cutting board.
You actually don't need an ME Controller. For a minimal AE2 system you need a Terminal, a Crystal Resonance Generator, a Glass Cable and a Storage Bus. To get there you also need an Inscriber and some mechanism to charge Certus Quartz such as a Charger + Crank. I then go a little further and upgrade the terminal to a Crafting Terminal, add a 1k Crafting Storage, add a Pattern Provider and an Assembler. And a second network (Resonance Generator, Cable, Pattern Encoding Terminal) such that I can encode patterns. At that point I figure out how to automate power, material generation and begin autocrafting all the things. On a random seed it takes me around a half hour without really trying. If I get lucky I can get an Ars spell book which dramatically speeds things up via the break spell.
I put the storage bus onto a sophisticated storage controller for my initial storage. I will upgrade to an ME Drive and a bunch of 4k disks after I have autocrafting and power. That is generally the last crafting job I do on this network before I pick up the terminals and place the terminal station for the rest of the game.
You’re right of course but the controller gives you the bonus of accepting fe for you, supplanting energy acceptor or resonance bs…. Unless of course you don’t need fe for anything else but you’re very likely chasing jetpack or machines etc.
Eh... in ATM10 I beeline for creative flight via the infusion pylon combined with an Ars Leap spell. I discovered (over 4 starts now in atm10, 1 craftoria pack and the DW20 pack) that I don't need the controller until I am ready to automate some form of power or more than a furnace and 1 assembler. While that does wind up occurring fairly quickly I will have first done auto crafts of patterns, 1k disks, 4k disks, cables and something for power (for example an autocraft of charcoal for an early generator). Thus far it has wound up being my day 2 goal. I'm not saying I don't bother with a controller or additional power. I'm saying I already have a bit of autocrafting before I get there.
I always tend to stick to tech when i start a pack, really jealous of all of you that go magic first! With some practice and without me trying to figure out a plan when i jump into the game I think i can get my time lower but i don't really like speed running lol I just did this to give myself an idea of how long it would take me from a fresh save 😁
Did you know that /back command is a stack and not a single location? Try waiting whatever the cool-down is (30 seconds?) and repeating the command ;) very handy early game before you’ve collected enough waystones
Small tip you can use Ars Enegistique to power your ae setup! It only requires a small gold investment. Also you can use growth accelerators on mystical plants to gain a shit load of source (more than the source it costs to power the growth accelerators.
Didn't know you could power it with ars 🤔 growth accels can work on any plants too which is nice 😁 personally don't like mystical cause it's too easy but it's good to know 😉
Isnt there an AE2 (or add-on) interface specifically for the metallurgic infuser? I think I remember seeing someone using that a while back, but i can't find it now
Power shouldn't be an issue in any ATM pack, you just need enough to make an atm star and then get creative power 🤔 I like the idea though! I should try out different power options!
had i not do a little building at the beginning of my playthru, i could get ae2 within 39 minutes and ~15 seconds lol, in total i had 2h 20m but i also had horrible ae2 meteor luck i got extremely lucky with a village off spawn though
@@patiurco how do you think it could be made more balanced? Maybe charge some xp to pick a villager up? Make the blocks more expensive? I’m not looking to be argumentative at all, I kind of agree. But I think it’s only really helpful in the early game, getting mending/fortune/looting etc books early and the iron farm and traders from various mods. By mid game you’re packing it all away, sick of all the grunting and wanting the space back. We’ve also got to acknowledge, all the things it gives you, trading halls, iron farms, these are infrastructure things that vanilla players do, it’s just relieving you of early game tedium with rails and boats and catching zombies and whatnot.

You can convert the other quartz blocks via a chisel to use them on a cutting board.
Ahhh that would have sped me up 😂

@ yeah that’s really cool. I’ve never considered rushing ae2 first thing.

Damn, I didn’t know you could do /back and it takes you where you died 😂 that would’ve saved me so much time
Did you know that /back command is a stack and not a single location? Try waiting whatever the cool-down is (30 seconds?) and repeating the command ;) very handy early game before you’ve collected enough waystones
/back is considered a bit cheaty by some but it's available when not in cheat mode so I don't see an issue with it 😁
Using the /home command you then /back to the location you left
The first time I used a meteorite compass the meteorite was in the ocean about 10 blocks below the ocean floor which added a bit of a challenge :)
I had something similar happen in the first attempt at this 😂

Does it turn source to FE? Also how much /tick does it generate? That sounds so interesting!

This is a very interesting idea! I did something similar with AE2 as well to figure out how long it'd take to stop doing manual crafts haha
How long did that take you? 🤔😁
Isnt there an AE2 (or add-on) interface specifically for the metallurgic infuser? I think I remember seeing someone using that a while back, but i can't find it now
advanced pattern provider
You can set the sides with that yeah 😁 I didn't need it for this experiment though 😂
pilpoh , can you speedrun mekanism
like get 1b fe power?

Nice new video format 🎉 maybe you can do a "How long" about Powaa reactor spirited. 😂
Oooo I like this idea 😁

I had a tip on my AE2 video saying the villagers were good and I can confirm now 😂
Genuinely shocked you couldnt figure out the cat slippers
Lol 😂 I was in a time crunch 😅
Nice
Very nice! 😂
Great vid
Cheers Greg! 😁
Does the osmium paxel make a good weapon in this modpack? By default it does around twice the damage of a diamond sword.
Even a osmium sword does more damage than a diamond sword 😂 osmium armour is better than netherite
How do you get all the ores to glow?
Shaders 😁 I think if you press O on the keyboard it will bring the menu up 😉
Which one though. I used complimentary reimagined and have the glowing ores on but it never gets the modded ones…
Hello
Hi 👋
Ez Villagers breaks any modpack, very broken/cheaty mod for my taste. But the rest of the video, great :)
In this situation I could have trapped the villagers in place and done the same thing but your right that easy villagers is a very powerful mod 😁
