    My favorite pianist until now performing from my favorite composer ever !

    Step by Step Guide on how to play these:
    1: Crack your knuckles
    2: Drink 5 cans of RedBull
    3: Drink 15 shots of coffee
    4: Snort 5 lines of cocaine, each being EXACTLY 1 foot long (if you do any more, you might accidentally play Hungarian Rhapsody #2 by Liszt).
    Good luck.

    The recording by Gershwin himself is avaible (on RUclips or IMSLP)
    It's interesting to compare the score music and the performance by the composer (it's possible with certain works by Bartok, Ravel, Poulenc...)

    • @bwsmyhero
      @bwsmyhero 6 месяцев назад

      Yes, he did! I love the movie Humoresque. I read that Levant grated on Joan Crawford’s nerves. They mixed like oil and water, but he and John Garfield got along famously. When Garfield was shown up close playing the violin, there was actually one violinist doing the fingering and another doing the bowing as Garfield held the violin under his chin, and Levant accompanied on piano. Levant, being his usual witty self, quipped, “The four of us should go on a concert tour.” 😂
