I really like it myself and I encourage everyone to get one. Thank you for your herbal remedies, I make them myself, but my herbal remedies are mostly made with 80 percent or higher alcohol.
I find I actually prefer my own medicinal extracts made with homemade wine better than the 80 proof tinctures. I started off with those but then started experimenting with vinegar, wine, and glycerin. The main difference is one just needs to take a bit more of the extracts but they are cheaper to make and I have the assurance of knowing there are no GMOs in the alcohol and it is organic because I made it from my own plants.
@@RainCountryHomestead I think I am going to start making them with my homemade wine. I'll let you know how it turns out, I'm sure it'll probably taste much better.

Amen to Rodale Press publications ! I have books from the 1970s. They are reliable and informative. Thanks for this video Heidi. Buying these remedies in labeled bottles is expensive, so this is a great alternative. My hubby has arthritis from logging in freezing temperatures and the repeat actions that come with using a chain saw. I use a face cream that contains Fever Few. It cleared my rosacea! Also Passion Flower is good for calm/sleep. I tell folks that Passion Flower is OPPOSITE its name! I will give your capsule formulas a try. Take care!
Can I ask about the face cream that you use for rosacea? Do you make your own with Fever Few? I really dislike how the prescription lotion or gel feels, plus it's pharmaceutical icky stuff!😁 Thank you for any info you'd care to share.
Dani Peters- Hello from New Hampshire. I use AVEENO Ultra-Calming daily moisturizer. That combined with keeping my stress down = a clear complexion for me. The packaging used to say with Fever Few, but my latest one doesn't. I hope this helps you. I had a prescription for Metrogel. It worked , but expensive. I found a little went a long way. ~ Diane
when i want to take herbs as a pill i powder them and mix them with butter fat. then i roll them into a little ball to take like a pill. those capsules are too big for me ! plus if you mix the butterfat with dehydrated herbs it wont go sour for a few years while preventing oxidation of the herbs in that time. i use this to take powered eggshells
@@grams5861 butterfat is like ghee but made at a low heat so it doesnt caramelize. is similar but tastes different. you can also wash it after it separates by meltng it in more water and letting it cool to a solid block if you want it to be tasteless and have no sugars.
You can get smaller capsules. The higher the number the smaller they are. I get 4s. The only thing is you have to take more of them to get the right amount of the contents.
00 are just efficient, not too large but still hold a decent amount of powder. I've only seen machines for 00 and 0 (the size of most Rx meds) but if you want to hand fill 4 is the smallest. I probably wouldn't go smaller than a 1 just because of the tediousness. HTH
thanks so much my son had a accident at his work where a big chain broke and knocked him against a wall he cracked one vertebra L5 and even after and operation it just became worse , he has to take pain meds regularly , he will be the first to get some of this, too we very natural people not taking chemical stuff at all , for headaches i found yoga and even chiropractic moves one can do at home works wonders , main thing most of us get headaches is that we on your phones typing or desks working on computers your neck is bend in the wrong direction for that it can be rectified easily at least three times a day stand up straight hands on the side pull the shoulders far back as possible then look up at the roof and stay like that for 30 secs do it regularly it release the headaches fast and get the neck back in the right position
There are many great stretches and exercises that can help, I know this as a dancer and martial artist though I do not do yoga nor recommend it myself. I also have an extract I use for pain and inflammation that for me works better than the capsules: ruclips.net/video/gm_UN7sTfqg/видео.html
While I realize this video is older, I'm hoping maybe you'll see it and respond. I'm just wondering why you don't recommend yoga? Is it a religious reason? I'm Christian, but practice yoga. I only focus on the physical aspect of yoga, not the spiritual side. @@RainCountryHomestead
I'm not trying to step on your toes here, Heidi, but as someone who suffers from suicide sciatica, I've got to tell your viewer what works for me.😊 I make an oil that takes the nerve pain away almost instantly! I got the recipe from an Amish family that i deal with. They told me that it would work in 5 minutes and I got major relief almost instantly. I fill a jar about 2/3 full of botanical menthol, cayenne, ginger, calendula flowers, arnica flowers and St. johns wort flower and then cover it all in olive oil. (I dont have measurements) u can then let it sit in a sunny window for a few weeks or u can use the crock pot for 4 hours but don't let it boil! When that's finished, strain it and add wintergreen essential oil and a little more botanical menthol. Those 2 ingredients seem to be key in sort of freezing that nerve. Now you've got something that's just mind blowingly good!! I sometimes take the oil and add beeswax and make a balm, too, but the straight up oil is what you'd want to try 1st. I make this stuff and sell it locally and everyone I've ever given a sample to has raved about it and then come back for more! It was enough to make one of my customers cancel his surgery. The other thing that helps tremendously is bathing in as hot water as u can stand with magnesium flakes. You have to stay in for at least 40 mins bc during the first 20, the body detoxes and during the 2nd 20 mins (or more) the body absorbs whatever is in the water. For this reason I put bentonite clay in the water to bind toxins. I have municipal water and who knows what's in that! The magnesium relaxes the nerve and stops muscle cramping which tends to happen with sciatica and can be a big part of the suffering. Just bc i like to make the best of these baths, i throw in a cup of baking soda to alkalize, some pink himalayan salt crystals and different essential oils and herbal teas depending on what im trying to accomplish. Lavender is always a good choice for the relaxation it induces. I was able to throw away the cane that i needed just to walk 15 feet the very 1st time I bathed in this! It truly seemed like a miracle! I also do yoga stretches and I do a routine I found on youtube. Its called something like 18 minute sciatica exercise . If u search that, you'll find it. Also dr. Alan Mandell, D.O. on RUclips has excellent stretches for sciatica. Good luck and I hope u decide to try this and gain relief.😊 P.s. I'm not a doctor or other health professional. Im just sharing what has worked for me and some of what I've found in my research.😁
@@sherryk30 Thank you Sherry K for this information! I'll try the Amish recipe as soon as I can save up for the ingredients I don't have. Sure need it as I'm still using my cane and my walker! The pain is horrible.

Where did you get your machine from. As I am from Canada
So happy I found this video! The typical over. Counter stuff doesn't seem to work for me and want more natural way especially if grid is down.
You have been the greatest inspiration on my leaving big pharma to change over to natural treatment. I am forever grateful for all you have taught me, thank you is not enough, God bless you for sharing your knowledge, blessings
Thank you!
I just got in 300 capsules and I have the bags of Anthony's powder in most herbs like ginger and turmeric and many others just started getting these together I will get this going today after my cowboy church gig.
Thanks Heidi. Good to have a starting place.
Thanks Edie!
Love to make the Valerian capsules! Echinacea also really does the trick.....👍🌱😁
Heidi you are the best..... thank you so much for sharing your amazing knowledge. I have no idea how you get around doing everything you do. Great admiration.
I use a capsule machine and I love it. It’s not at all messy and with the tamper that comes with the machine I can pack the capsule really full. 100 capsules done in 5 mins +/-… It works great and I got it off of TEMU.
That's cool. I am still not interested, especially since I have several better options to take herbs than making capsules and now hardly ever make them at all anymore.
Thank you my friend 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻
THANK YOU, GOD BLESS YOU!!!!
Thank you for the demo on filling the capsules! I have been putting off buying one of those machines for quite awhile and just didn't know whether I could do it by hand.
Thank u babydoll love & hugs so much for all you do..number one fan..😁
Great show thank you ❤
I am starting one my self. 1/4 acre plus other areas around the property where some herbs prefer more shade.
Wow, what a great video! Thank you so much for this excellent and useful information! 💖You explain things so completely and easily. Nice. I subscribed to your channel; it's wonderful!💖💖
~ Diane
@@dianehall5345 Hello from Wisconsin! Thank you so much for getting back to me! I'll definitely try the Aveeno. Have a great day!!
Heidi! This is great. I do the mornings caps that I make too! Got another book! Thank you
I enjoy your herbal videos as you are very clear and easy to follow thank you 😊
Thank you Abigail!
Awesome video. Thank you so much. This is good info. God Bless Y'all.
Thank you!
Thank you Heidi. I am enjoying your channel.
Thank you for the info on what is perennial that is also very helpful!
Wow! Heidi, you are amazing! ❤
when i want to take herbs as a pill i powder them and mix them with butter fat. then i roll them into a little ball to take like a pill. those capsules are too big for me ! plus if you mix the butterfat with dehydrated herbs it wont go sour for a few years while preventing oxidation of the herbs in that time. i use this to take powered eggshells
Good idea for those who cannot take capsules or tinctures.
When you say butterfat are you referring to ghee?
Thanks Heidi. Great info. I just ordered the capsules!!
Your skin is beautiful
Thank you!
Excellent, thank you. I've taken Valerian for years for a great nights sleep. Want to make a mixture of herbal pain relief for my sciatica pain!
I'm not trying to step on your toes here, Heidi, but as someone who suffers from suicide sciatica, I've got to tell your viewer what works for
me.😊 I make an oil that takes the nerve pain away almost instantly!
Good luck and I hope u decide to try this and gain relief.😊
Not stepping on my toes at all! This is what is great about our differences is we all find things that work for us and our various needs and these need to be shared so thank you for your addition!
@@corrinnehoffman3248 id be more than happy to send u one of my sample bottles to at least see if it works for you before u make the investment. It is a little costly upfront but even if u just bought a couple of ounces of each, you'll get a good amount of oil in the end.
If you'd like a sample and want to provide a way to contact u privately for your info, I'll get one out to you. Totally up to you.😊

~~~ this was a really good video. Thank you my friend.
Thank you!
THANK-YOU!!!
Absolutely love this! Thanks so much for the information. I too have hypothyroidism and would love to get off of the prescription that I am on so I don't have to keep getting those blood draws and testing at least twice a year just to get my meds. I also need to get off the allergy meds I have to take for chronic hives. So your videos on those have been an AMAZING revelation for me! I only have one problem... waiting for my plants to grow enough so I can harvest. ;) lol. Thank you so much for the seeds. Looking into buying what I need for our needed natural remedies so that I can get off all these drugs that are so bad for us. You and Patrick are definitely a Godsend for my family. May He bless and keep you and yours always! Cec.
The cayenne also has peperine and isn't an irritant like black pepper
God IS good ALLLLLLL the time
I appreciate you sharing all of your knowledge with us! I love how you make it seem so easy for those of us who have little time to make their own products. But, I have to confess, that I was a little distracted by how incredible your skin looks. Are you wearing your grapefruit-ylang ylang-frankincense-vanilla OR rose-geranium-vanilla in this video 😍.
I only use the grapefruit Ylang Ylang Frankincense because it is my favorite for scent. Thank you so much!
Love this video. Trying to establish a herb garden!
Great information. Thank you and be blessed.
I also use my herb coffee grinder and use a clean makeup brush to brush it out good.
Very interesting!
Thank you 💚
Thank you! Love your channel
I have started some wild lettuce. Hope they grow. Other herbs I have for pain doesn't work very well or my pain is so bad I can't tell it has any strength.
I make the turmeric capsules like you do but the last time I put a wee bit of cinnamon. They are very effective for my arthritis pain.
Do you use turmeric and cinnamon only, I have server back pain am so tired of pain pills they just downed meds. Which isn't helping my pain
@@amandastewart3011 I use turmeric powder ginger powder cinnamon black pepper. I also add some Cayenne pepper. I mix well and fill capsules
Thank you I been trying to find natural herbs for my pain. Am on so many pills, had back surgery in 2012, hip and knee surgery, am in so much pain. Ty
@@amandastewart3011 Did you try any of these combinations? Did they work? I'm looking for something natural for my Mom. She has major back problems, & is on Rx pain meds. Thanks
Cinnamon for arthritis pain?? 🤔 Maybe that's why my hands get less 'crampy' when I'm eating oatmeal regularly.... I always put cinnamon and peanut butter in my oats :D
Thank you for the info. You have a freaking beautiful garden. I have seeds. Thats as far as ive gotten. Take care.
U can also buy one of the little machines like...capsule it
Yep. personally am not interested in those
Oboy Hiedi.. so exciting..I am infusing my herbals for hair/skin herbal shampoo and skin, plus capscian infusion with sage for my muscle rub and hair growth. I also am working on a collodial oatmeal powder. I might experiment with the oatmeal shampoo. Not sure it will work but it's great for eczema. I have eczema pretty bad in winter.so I need to get aggressive. Spring is for my herbal medicinal garden and growing it. Great information as always. I bought rosemarys medicinal herbs, peppers natural medicine and the homesteaders herbal companion. Ty ty TYSM. ❤😍❤
Balsam Acres Homestead when I stopped eating gluten( wheat rye oats & barley) my eczema went away. Gluten problems are only 1 cause of eczema.
Heidi there is a lot of Herbal books out there like Amy Fewell, Dawn Combs *lol* and the internet a wealth of information. ( I think we are on the same line.) Heidi, another great video on Herbs and how good they are good for you. Herbs are still a type of medicine and we need to be careful as we use it. Herbs are better then synthetic. With headache Heidi, I don't use anything unless it is very bad, and i use peppermint oil and that helps for me.
Yes, peppermint oil is a good one :) Thank you Wendy!
