I have run businesses and have had a few chargebacks over the years. In every instance, I replied to the CC company in very plain English exactly what happened. Know how many were reversed in my favor? 100%. Take that thing off the bike and appeal the chargeback.
What did you say? Have you dealt with any chargebacks through square? They don't seem to work out for us.
@@HarmanLearns Square is the biggest POS processing system out there. It's for lemonade stands and one room bakery's. Not actual daily run businesses.
I’ve gotten hit with chargebacks with square.with detailed invoice for service and testing reports they still said fuck you
Me too, just because a douche claims a chargeback doesn't mean it's time to throw the towel in, follow through and win it. I'd certainly be doing everything else in my power to make life miserable for the scammer too... pay back, it's a bitch!

Isn't mail fraud across state lines taken very seriously in the US? Any lawyer buddies who could write Ryan a polite letter explaining his error in sending the wrong muffler and subsequent error in filing the charge back? Best of luck and hopefully you can at least write off the loss and get some content out of it, if not get it back.
There are Federal LE assigned to postal regions who investigate mail fraud, theft, etc. So yes, they can investigate any individual, whether a postal employee or customer, engaged in fraud, abuse, theft, etc. so I agree, Brian should file a complaint with the the details, evidence, financials involved, etc. Anything over $1000 and interstate becomes a Federal crime.
Laws over here are very poorly enforced. This level of incompetence is not an accident.

When I was traveling buy motorcycle, I always had cable ties and duct tape( 100 mph tape). Great video, waiting for tech inspection.
Listen, a couple years ago I learned about- get this, stainless steel zip ties! Those things are so strong, the guy over at projectfarm tested them and was able to lift the back end of his truck with a forklift tethered to the rear bumper. I'm told that ya really should use the zip tie gun for tensioning and cutting them though.
Cable ties has saved my ass numerous times.
That and tyre sealant/tyre jack and plug set i always have with me on a long ride.

Where do you get a Chinesium muffler bracket? Well kind sir, they generally come with the Chinesium muffler... But since some scammer POS sent you this one, The By Gawd American Zip Tie method will have to do.
I do recommend swapping it for a metal one so it doesn't break on the track.

"Not Legal Advice"... You don't even need an attorney for this. It's a small claims court case, show the court the junk he sent, counter sue for your losses, and absolutely do not hand out a refund. And if he cries about being insulted... It's a 1st amendment right ✅️😊 He has no case. You can also contact the local law enforcement of his area and report it as theft,, further, you can go to your local USPS office and report the mail fraud to the postal inspectoras. What he did was a federal crime. Best of luck! FYI You physically don't have to be at that local court from his area, and can with a heads up, request a via Zoom appearance.
Ubfortunately he mentioned that Ryan The D Bag was in California, they won't even arrest real criminals out there anymore.

@BrewsAndBraaps A similar situation happened to me. It was $100 small claims filing fee. There is no cost to report it to the postal inspectors. I requested a treble amount at the court and was granted due to the nature of the fraud. A few hundred lost turned to a few grand and saved others from being a victim. It's perplexing when I hear of people throwing in the towel on a no loss, only gain situation. At the end of the day, the costumer committed fraud via a federal branch "if" it was sent through the USPS. If not, the court will still see via a civil suit he committed fraud and will make him pay for damages done plus extra.

You should send a blast email of his name and details out to the rest of the major online motorcycle retailers warning them of this POS scammer. You know you're not the first retailer he's done this to. That can is most likely being sold on ebay, craigslist or facebook marketplace.
