Dan, your camera is still dirty sir.
@@SHINR__ I know. I only have one camera, but several go pro's Im working on getting this camera taken apart and fixed.
@@ProbableCause-DanGryder 😄 Brother Dan, you work so hard and do so much... But... Either fix it or I swear I'll upload a cover of "Down by the Riverside" by my Harpsicord Jug Band!
😆
@@randya9810 Awesome!
If you are ever in the Sioux Falls, SD area let me know, bring a banjo, lets jam. I can also get you a deal on hotels if you’d like.
Hi Dan, totally respect what you do.
I'm a private pilot and Glider Pilot in the UK.
I'm a Europa Xs Tri gear Aircraft owner.
When I fly a circuit to land, I fly at 70 knots, 20 degrees of flap...I'm monitoring my Airspeed, EVERY SINGLE SECOND, NO EXCUSES.
Turn onto final approach, continuing to monitor the AIRSPEED DURING THE TURN, then when wings are level, I then reduce to 65 knots, for a full flap approach, normally for me, it's a GLIDE APPROACH at 65knots.
My Aircraft stalls clean at 50knots, and full flaps at 43knots..Best regards Andrew Cullum.
Part 135 engine with 6000 hrs? Has to be a world record for a Lycoming running that long. Holy cow, such ignorance on the part of the media.
Training aircraft aren't usually part 135. Either part 91 or part 141.
@@johnaclark1 You are correct, my bad but my point still stands. God bless.
About time news agency got prosecuted for bad information.
(So called) News: "We saw it on the internet, it has to be true"
@@flybobbie1449 Mind you it was fed to the media via a lawyer who goes after aircraft accidents.
The flight school should sue the news company.
I'm so glad that you call a spade a spade. In this PC world, you do ask the straight questions...
Exactly. I’m shocked that YT even sided with DG, as they usually fold to peoples feelings and not facts?
Dirty Laundry! Awesome Dan! 66BK ☝️🔔🦈
Dan, I am a retired airline pilot that now gives flight instruction and I believe that your videos are quite simply the greatest aid to improving GA aviation safety ever - period! We cannot thank you enough for your incredible work. (Btw sorry, I have subscribed..)

Thank you for covering this. Prayers to the family and friends of this young man, I heard they just had his funeral.
Wow, I wasn't expecting the story to go in that direction. This channel is really something else.
that is one beautiful take off! smooth as silk. thank you , Dan, for all you bring to the table. happy birthday: June 11. peace
Married his foster son that transitioned to a female……what the h*ll is wrong with these people?? This is NOT normal!,
But, it's normal behavior these people. No rules. Anything goes.
Thank joe.
Every body has the right to do what they feel good to do for them selves. Who are we to judge that. However we have also the right for our own opinion. If the situation led to a planed suisite. Is this bad and sad.
@@falkescheibe2835 Then comes the judgement.
Normal doesn't mean anything. The thing of importance is what is healthy, good, and moral. And this scum bag and his deeds were none of them. If anything, what he was doing was unhealthy, immoral, and absolutely evil.
I'm sure he's nice and toasty where he's at.
Dirty Laundry as a fast minor blue grass tune really works!
Smiles and chuckles. Nicely done.
That take off was flawlessly smooth
Love this!
Thanks Dan.
Dan, I love your honesty. I always look forward to your videos. Keep them coming
While beginning my time as a student pilot, my instructor ( fantastic teacher that he was) always taught, flaps up, power in, wait to reach takeoff speed, then begin your climb. I learned this from my VERY FIRST touch and go! Why is this so hard ? ? ?
Leaving a plane without a piolet can never be a safe thing. Proven by the fact the plane crashed.
Rather simple. If the stunt is done FAR from populated regions, over controlled ground - then fine.
Otherwise, I can't support it.
Fact- a plane without a pilot describes a plane on the ground which is a very safe thing. never say never
Agreed, sad people think this flying Act is "normal" to perform, way to many variables out of their control once they leave their planes and exposed to 2 spinning props from both of those planes to boot. I guess one or both of them will have to get sliced up from an unexpected updraft or downdraft before this "insanity" ends. My personal views.
Are you that gullible ? There was always another pilot that’s my bet
That is just common sense... but common sense is the most uncommon thing now.
Dan! Didnt know you were also a talented musician! Lovin your channel more and more - keep up the great work!
Great, another thrill packed adventure! thanks Dan
So many hidden talents ..I have enjoyed all your info on many things .
Dan I love your channel. Thanks for all you do!
Great groove at the end Dan . Worth the wait
Thank you for bringing to light yet another stall/spin incident involving a low-time pilot. While the “news” wants to emphasize TBO, the aircraft at Spring City are well maintained. I flew that aircraft as a student pilot in the 2003 era when it had a new engine. It’s apparent from the audio that the student pilot messed-up, resulting in a stall/spin mishap.
Lack of thorough training, and detention of procedures.
Let’s face it Dan, we live in a world of realty shows. The wackiest it gets the more that it sells.
That was some SWEET banjo playing Dan, AWESOME!!!
Love this guy. Never met him in my life, and I love this guy. Hes a saint.
Good reporting!!
Awesome dirty laundry banjo shredding!!!
Another great job Dan! Sometimes the truth hurts and people don’t like it but keep telling it like it is and fly safe!
“Life is hanging on that one propeller”? Glider pilots must be fearless 🤔
Sick.... Good reporting Dan.
You know what, I am beginning to really enjoy that banjo, especially with a song like that one. Wow! just when you think you have heard a sick story another one surprises you. Another informative video thank you for all your hard work.
Dan, your investigative reporting skills are on par with your flying skills! 👏👏👏
Dan, you are a MACHINE. I'm always impressed with the insane amount of investigative work that goes into your videos.
Maybe that explains how it happens…
When you were talking about the fiance I had to rewind this several times to make sure I heard you correctly. That is pretty sick. Good grief 😳
I was also listening to the video and had to make sure I heard that...That type of odd situation is one thing...Documenting via photos to put on the internet was usually avoided. In 2022 the new normal is getting weird. To each his own. None of my business. Society has an issue with mental health and it's about time for God to show up and shake, rattle, and roll this planet...Humans are losing it.
Same here, I guess it's whatever floats your boat, but man that's more like a "wire canoe".
at least he took himself out and nobody else i can respect that
Societies that followed this path throughout history did not face a bright, successful future... to say the least ;{
Reason for schools following agenda of politics, no longer teaching, nay say 'modifying' in depth History?
Great banjo playing Dan!!!!!!!
That banjo was great! Loved it!
I'm only here for dirty laundry Dan (Im not a flyer) and you don't disappoint. I don't want to come across callous but the "back story" to so many of these accidents is fascinating. Keep up the great work. Loved your mach 10 rendition of Dirty Laundry
One time I left my banjo in the passenger compartment of my plane when I went in for some lunch at the airfield cafe.
During the lunch I realized that I had left the aircraft unlocked, so I hurried out onto the tarmac and sure enough the
worst had happened: someone had placed two more banjos in my airplane.
Now THAT was funny! Very rarely do I LOL on You Tube, but you got one.
@@johnmclean6498 Same here! Hahahaha.
lol
My friend, who was a banjo player, said that the perfect note was when the piano accordian hit the banjo in the mini skip when you throw it out the window......lol
@@michaelsimpson9779 I like it. Leonard Cohen once famously said "A gentleman is one who has learned to play the accordion, but doesn't."
I had a 135 operation. Emery & Uncle Fred. All of mine were unsafe but we flew 'em anyway. Do or don't eat. Rock on Dan! Good show!
I love the music Dan, love the banjo skills, love the channel👌
Dan, I am very close to the TImmerman airport and actually keep my Bonanza there. The DOM is amazing! A fantastic mechanic and person. This incident was 100% pilot failure. Spring City is where I got my license and never had a single question about the safety of their airplanes. Good Instructors on the other hand were few and far between...
Thanks for covering this Dan. I conversed with the “reporter” covering spring city aviation and pointed out that there was no way the numbers he found on the website were accurate. His quote in response “Totally agree, but we need the company to confirm that.”
Typical slimeball reporter. Slandering the school for ratings.
Reporter, until then, we will post whatever we want.
Another great video Dan. And some fine banjo playing too!
Thanks Dan
The Red Bull team never actually tested leaving the plane without a pilot. There was always somebody else in the plane in the tests. The weigh and balance was different.
Well Dan the banjo at the end made up for the fact that you made me aware of that whole fiancé freak show situation. I really didn’t need to know that, but the aviation community does need to know everything you shine a light on.
You rock, Dan 👍
Your stock just went way up with me, Love the banjo skills!!
Dan, I wish I could go to your B-day party. Have a blast, many happy returns!
I’ve learned more from your videos than professors, instructors, and study guides combined. You hit the nails - the people behind the curtain - on the head.
Thanks for always telling "the rest of the story" Dan
Dude you’re awesome! Tell it Dan! Love the fact that you don’t back away from truth!
Dan, your dedication to deep-diving into these incidents/accidents reveal some really bizarre stuff. Great work!
Dan, can’t wait to see 66 Burger King video. Watched all the HBO series and Gwen Lara was downright evil. Love the other assessments and banjo playing to Dirty Laundry. Keep up the great work brother!
Love the tune Dan
absolutely love the dirty laundry!!!!!!!
Perfect! The "News" (being the media no matter where you live) Never gets it right & this is why I stopped watching "Television" many years ago besides the fact that it's so ad driven etc.
No adverts here down under, that aside I reckon you could have a seperate channel for the musical abilities you have, it is enjoyable to listen to. Thanks Dan, Leo from Down Under, Australia.
I was with a state OSHA program for over 28 years and one of my duties was investigating workplace fatalities. The news media hardly ever got a story right and I have actually been quoted in the media as saying things I never came close to saying. When I was interviewed it was always "the accident is under investigation, please contact our office of public information" but that didn't stop them for saying stuff that wasn't true. The U.S. Constitution affirms their right to be wrong and they take full advantage of it.
Yep, even the most mundane stories are always wrong, or twisted to look bad, twisted to make people look bad, drum up rage, fear, etc...
One thing's for sure, you can always count on corporate media to get EVERYTHING wrong, regardless of the story! I marvel at the general lack of knowledge about ANYTHING sometimes! Where do they find these people?? Precisely why your channel has exploded with new subs over the past year, DAN. People NEED accurate info, and are starving for it! And nice work on the Don Henley tune! That was creative going at 2x ... and with a banjo no less! 👍
I just read a report from a 'news' report about the Doucet crash that said 'Dr Doucet and two of his three children were killed' Then a few lines later it said 'Dr Doucet leaves behind three children'
Loving the Dirty Laundry cover!
my instructor had me do a medical after our first lesson. More specifically he said, “The thing that usually takes the most time / effort is your medical, so I would get started on that immediately.”
I got my private pilots license at Timmerman field and actually use to live in that apartment building where the guy crashed. If he was having engine problems, all he needed to do was head for the golf course close by. He stalled it. Also, seems like the first thing he did was “Communicate” when he got in trouble. That should have been third on his list. And BTW, WTMJ and The Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel are horrible news outlets.
I think he soloed too early, myself. That, or he was not cut out to be a pilot - face it, some of us don't have the mindset for making quick decisions and managing an emergency with little time to think things thru.
@@NihongoGuy that was my thought too. If he forgot about his flaps, he wasn’t ready to solo. 🎯
All mainstream media are horrible outlets, DEFUND!
Yes you identified the problem a media company that aspires to be a journal but it can't get out of the second grade diary category, and then there is sentinel, where you spy on neighbors and try to impress people about your aviation expertise just because you spell "airplane" correctly, at least two out of three times, with spell check!!!
@@json2582 J Son. You need to evaluate your sobriety patterns.
Dan, you are the man. Love the way you get to the bottom of these happenings! Love your banjo playing as well! Keep up the great work!
Dan, that was some awesome playing there, bud!!!!!! Love the channel, love the skillz;)
Dan you are a very talented man. Enjoy your videos!
Fiance???!!! What a sick world we live in. Sounds like the devil took him down where he wanted him. That’s a good example of the perverted grooming that is happening to kids around the country. Good video Dan! Keep em coming!!
Dan is incorrect. The fiancé was an adult prior to any interaction. The foster son story is false.
Hi Dan … your investigations are fabulous and a great inspiration to General Avaiation and we can all learn from your reports, keep up the great work
You have inspired me to break out my Dad's Flatt and Scruggs Gibson Mastertone and play it again. Sounds great!
Happy Birthday! Fun song. Love your banjo playing. Tons of dirty laundry here. Sick stuff.
"The information on your website says . . . ."
Maintenance guy should have said
"Legally I can't comment during the investigation but I can say don't believe everything you read on the internet"
Hey Dan, my Dad who was a Marine Corps (Naval Aviator) pilot never ever participated in GA. He said it was much to dangerous. I like your Banjo playing.
My dad was a Navy pilot and says the same exact thing
@Mindy Janis Well, it’s dangerous
@Mindy Janis There’s no ejection seat in a Cessna
@Mindy Janis The lack of quality training. Example excessive turns in low visibility while not following proper procedures. All of that would have been taught over and over in military training. Military learns from mistakes and ensures that lessons learned are communicated to all pilots immediately.
You Da Man!! Love your videos, you get down to the Nitty Gritty, CSI of Aviation! Happy Early Birthday!
Great vid, insanely good music 👍
Dan! You gotta follow up on Daniel Perlman's accident! Oh please throw those "news" people under a freaking bus sliding under a gas truck! So obviously what you just said! A messed up touch and go.. Forgot the flaps. I did the same dang thing on my privates practical of all places... man when the examiner tapped me on the shoulder as I was climbing out and I realized flaps were all out I shoved the nose forward.. cuz my instructor was kick-ass like you.. suffice to say I milked the flaps up while keeping Way above mins.. I wish everybody had instructors like you and mine. You guys rule! Thank You!
Hey sweet pickin' there at the end.. I like it! More R&R please! nicely done..
And to have a supposedly knowledgeable guy like Katz misrepresent the truth about overhaul times is reprehensible. What would he say about an airliner with 20,000 hrs, that it hadn’t been inspected? There are enough real factors affecting safe flying without having these morons twisting information and making these asinine unsubstantiated charges!!!!
Dan Gryder... I've been watching you for like the last 6 months, I just come across the video of you playing the banjo, what a pleasant surprise, really impressed, the bangos is such a unique instrument...love your videos, your knowledge, and your passion, not only music funny Aviation, I've always been
fascinated by plane crashes since I was in the 11th grade living in Bellflower California when the Aeromexico 498 fell out of the sky and crashed neighborhood right down the street from me off Carmelita and South Street in Cerritos. You are on the ball and on point...keep up the good work Buddy...Probable Cause, your creation, is compelling as it is infectious.
Loved it! I don't think Mr. Don would disagree. Love your content. CM - Olin, NC.
Dude. Holy crap. These are starting to sound like a soap opera television series.
Except it is real life, there is a lot to learn from real. Truth is stranger than fiction.
Wow, that is the strangest plane crash story I’ve ever heard. You get the real backstory with Dan. Keep up the good work, Dan.
OMG, your banjo playing skills are perfection! ❤️❤️❤️
Whew..."The Only Way Out" was one of the best. It was riveting and dramatic in the way you told the story. HBO can do what they like, but Probable Cause nailed it.
From my understanding Red Bull didn't get permission to do their stunt. So even if they did take every precaution, they didn't legally get permission. We can't be making exceptions for people, especially big companies such as Red Bull. Sorry, not sorry.
I used to agree.
@@ProbableCause-DanGryder I guess agree to disagree is all we can do in this case. Btw, sick banjo playing. Your finger picking is superb!
@@JediOfTheRepublic Jedi, you do not have all the facts like Dan did not at first. Suggest you get them before commenting and looking foolish.
@@205rider8 foolish like you?
There is just no possible way this engine survived 7000+ hrs over TBO being a trainer airplane. I doubt it even made it to TBO.
I'm thinking they simply never updated their web site. It's enough trouble maintaining records per FAA regs then having to duplicate it all on a web site is ridiculous.
I am having the same thoughts... How do you get a piston engine to nearly 4x TBO. I think Mike Busch is only at 2x TBO and he knows how to run an engine.
You, with that banjo, are a total nut! In a good way. AWESOME content. God Bless.
Facinating video as usual. That tempo at the end got your fingers attention. Good one chap!!
Yeah a touch cut to hang with, the audio lifted off a RUclips vid and it waivered in speed which made hanging with it at that tempo a real challenge...
Awesome that they got 8000 hours out of a 2000 hour engine :)
Dan you have such a great channel I just love watching this sort of thing, great job with the "dirty laundry" skit, I hope you do more of it.
As far as Mr
King situation if my life was anything like this guys I'd have checked out long ago, what a mess. I guess it takes em all to make the world go round. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞
DAN! You are killing it on the banjo
🤣 Dan, you are very entertaining, I have to say! Sometimes I don't know whether to laugh or cry, so I usually do both at the same time.😭
That last guy is sick if he did what is vaguely being suggested …he did the right thing running it into the ground.
Keep the stories coming Dan. Nobody covers these accidents like you do.
Great Banjo picking Dan
You're a heck of a player Mr. Gryder. Love your videos and the music as well.
Great work Dan. I thought 66BK was bizarre but 162KG is about as twisted as it gets. While the government may have failed us at least we can count on airplanes to take out the trash.
Dan, you do alot of good getting the safety message out to a huge range of people. Well done on that and I hope you continue for many years, partly I guess because alot of other people can't be bothered, me included.
But, man, your opinion on the red bull stunt.
I am glad you have cleared that up because next time I look up from my lunch I am having in the back seat and realise my aircraft is in a vertical dive passing through a training area and narrowly missing crashing into random people on the ground before I scramble forward to correct it I will be assured everything is above board and legal and I will be able to refer to this video to prove it.
Hopefully you will tell us what secret information you have that makes us see the light.
I will.
@@ProbableCause-DanGryder There's no secret information that would redeem that stunt in the way it was executed. In the way it was executed.
@@cturdo The FAA deemed it as careless and reckless, I am curious what information Dan has.
Great music Dan
😲 I actually love the Dirty Laundry banjo! My brother and his friends had weekly redneck jam sessions, and did the same sort of thing!
Sounds awesome to me! 🤩
The coverage on the first crash is so reckless that the flight school may have a case for defamation.
Or maybe they need to look into the story and get that kid some therapy. That is clearly GROOMING. If it's true the school should be sued for employing such a perverse, sick man.
If their website actually said what the news people said it said, how could they possibly have a case?
