You are the first person who explains the fact that League is not that complicated, and you did it by telling your whole technique in a very easy-to-understand way. Most of the guides over complicate things just to make it more "pro". Thanks for your content.
League either not very complicated or very complicated depending on the perspective you take. You can say "you just need to destroy the enemy Nexus" - simple, isn't it? But then you have lane matchups, hundreds of mechanics, game feel, patches, micro, macro, itemization, runes, neutral objectives, fog of war, etc, etc, etc. You can make it as complicated or as simple as you want. At the end of the day, as a player, you need to learn everything and weight everything according to yourself to be the best that you can possibly be. You need to remember that Alan says "just cs" and "push the wave" but he has years of top level gameplay that he can do instinctively. You and I need to learn these concepts and practice them for months to get even close to that level. It's simple to state but the amount of complexity under the hood is incredible. To drive a car you just push down the pedal. But in this instance we also need to build the car which is super complicated. Alan can press the pedal because his car is ready. We are struggling to understand what is even a carburetor. League is not simple. It can be presented as such. In reality it is one of the most complex games on the market and the execution of all this complexity is extremely difficult. You can watch all the guides in the world, watch replays of players at all skill levels and know the wiki by rote but none of it matters because applying this knowledge (which is vast and complex) is really, really, really difficult. The people on the balance team range from high Emerald to Challenger. All of them have more knowledge of the game than most pros. But executing it is so hard. This is not to discourage you. I'm just making sure that you don't treat League too lightly. It's a complex game. Every mouse and keyboard click can change the dynamic of the entire game. I'm a Master Zyra support player and used to be a Teemo one-trick (he is still my "chill pick" when I get the role with friends). I know how incredibly far I am from realizing the full potential of these picks despite be one of the top players in this game. Granted, some would say Master is not that impressive, but last I checked 97%+ aren't there and when I play with my friends it's apparent how far apart we are in skill (they are between Iron and Emerald). League can be played forever by someone because it is too complex for someone to "figure it out". There is a reason Teemo is not in pro. He is not as strong as Alen may suggest. Alen is just that good with him specifically and solo queue is a little different. Meta picks will still trump over Teemo if played by as competent of a player. League is great. And can be explained simply. But always know that underneath many statements in this video, there are thousands of hours of instinct that aren't communicated. This video was great (I think for more experienced players to show what's possible) in a concise way. So keep at it, chipping away slowly and developing this instinct!
the problem is in my opinion the farm/platings/splitpush strat is boring af and doesnt bring to much excitement to the game. Riot should lower minion gold and remove platings to make the game more orientet in fighting enemy champions.
@@matteohaudenschild4452 they do that with neutral objectives. You have to remember that different people (players) like different things in League. Some love to fight constantly and some love to play macro strategy. Some love chaotic 80 kill games and some love it when they manage to squeeze the enemy for 30 minutes without ever needing to kill them. Also, making the game oriented only around fighting will just make half the roster unviable and in need of a rework because the champions are designed and balanced around minions, jungle monsters, towers, etc. The entire class of ADCs will need an overhaul because they scale with gold (items) and the more non-champion gold you remove, the worse the class gets in terms of agency. If you want permanent fighting on the rift, then you have other game modes for that. Arena and Nexus Blitz are great for that and they are quite fun but there is far less strategy and that's what makes League so good for so many people. Saying no to fights is a skill. Giving up objectives or not contesting a wave are skills. It's letting the enemy win the battle so you can win the war. It's exciting. If it's all fighting then whoever wins the first fight ostensibly wins the game because every fight thereafter they just have an edge. Minions, towers and every other source gold are how someone who loses an early fight gets a chance to comeback and how the one with the advantage needs to also keep on their toes and push the advantage. League is a complex team strategy game. It's not a team brawler. That's what makes fights even cooler because there is so much strategy behind them in context. I promise you that the game would get really boring for most people if you made kills the primary gold acquisition tool.
In reality, this is how people who want to increase overnight take it, but like any activity/discipline in life that you want to perform at the best possible level, it has many details that these "quick" guides (at least it is as you are taking this video) they skip and get straight to the point, but the reality is that a sololane lis much more complex than you think you understand, plus Alan has limit knowledge and impressive micromechanics with teemo due to playing it for so long.
Very well explained with great details, thank you! For example: Slow push levels 1-4, leveling up slightly sooner each time. Damage to towers is less pre-5 minutes, emphasize playing for plates from 11-13 minutes

This guide genuinely helped me understand so much more than just Teemo. I’ve been able to transition the mentality required to extract usefulness out of teemo to other champions through macro understanding and wave management. Never underestimate the power of ALAN

16:50 hi, jungle main here, been learning toplane, fell in love with Teemo, and I agree with him here. Never. Ever. Leash as Teemo. You need lane prio, and your jungler’s starting position will be shrouded if the enemy doesn’t ward early correctly. Do not leash as a top lane bully. Giving the enemy free prio is a fucking death sentence and your entire team can end up paying for it. As a jungler, I think about this, and have often spammed people to NOT LEASH. Especially lower elo, it’s just so unimportant to leash, most junglers can’t even get a full clear done at 3:50 😭
Little appreciation comment for shrooms: I think I have told my friends over a thousand times that teemo shrooms are the one of the best abilities in the game (and the single most annoying one), but not because they can pretty much 2 shot enemy carries, no. It's, among other things, the fact that BECAUSE the enemy team knows they two shot carries (and are a pain in the ass in general), they start giving up their vision trinkets for sweepers; this happens WAY more consistently with Teemo than with any other champion that "forces" your team to take more sweepers. On top of this, it's not even GOOD against Teemo because, since they have given up on their wards just to sweep the shrooms, they don't have vision of the zone, and then Teemo can just litter the floor with shrooms again like it's nobody's business and the enemy team has to guess if he did or not. The amount of times games in lower elos LITERALLY turn into ARAM at 20 (or even earlier) because NOBODY in the enemy team wants to deal with Teemo's shrooms is straight up insane. Also, in lane shrooms are literally Ziggs Q on steroids (and we all know how much of a pain those can be), since you can just pop them near the enemy while they walk up to CS and they are gonna eat the shroom's entire damage even if they didn't step on it + it's gonna clear the wave or leave it with very low hp, forcing them to farm under turret against a character that can blind autos and harass for free. It's also worth mentioning that shrooms are the ONLY skill in the game that lets you facecheck a bush from china (at higher levels) while simultaneously leaving it warded if no one is there + offering damage for a skirmish if they are. So, JUST Teemo's R, a skill that seems extremely simple and "ok but kinda meh" turns out can (in no particular order): 1) clear waves 2) harass in lane 3) give vision and control over areas 4) deny pushes (and sieges) or create slow pushes while being literally on the opposite side of the map 5) condition where the enemy team is willing to go just because "what if Teemo put a shroom there; I don't wanna lose half my HP for free". 6) deal suprisingly high amounts of DoT in teamfights (that a lot of the time isn't registered immediately by the enemy team, leading to overextends) 7) steal away the enemy's vision by forcing to buy sweepers 8) provide slows for ambushes 9) provide safety when facechecking 10) deny objectives after close teamfights because the enemy is so low that they cannot risk tripping a shroom (this one might be a stretch, but it's still something that happens from time to time). This might be because I am a reeeeally big Teemo fan, and I might be delusional, but I sincerely believe Teemo's R to be one of the best abilities in the game (like top 10 or even top 5). And it's on the one character that makes the enemy tilted just by being in the game. Teemo's a mental destroying ticking bomb, and I fucking love him for it.

Hey Alan, I sent a Pantheon back to base early only for my Lee Sin to give away a free kill on a pointless invade on Panths way back to lane. Any tips for surviving a PTA ignite flash pantheon with a free kill? I went 0/6, the guy flashed whenever I flashed and 1 shot me. Beyond fleet and bone plating, what’s the best advice for that situation? Awesome video btw

Very good content, thank you very much for those tips. I'd only have one question. At 49:50 you talk about seasonnal runes change that might affect tour strategy. I was wondering if you had a tool or website to calculate effectively what are the good meta runes or items at each season ?
Hello alan. From a riven players perspective, what do you think the optimal way to play is? Is level 1 cheese ever viable if both players play competently? how about contesting the early push at all? does the matchup change if teemo has boneplating or buys early armor?
Incredible guide! if i could ask, how would a fiora play against a teemo with swifties? feels completely unplayable. Ive started to see it a bit more often since you started posting and i genuinely have no clue what to do.
Agreed well put together! I’ve read the mobafire teemo guides and will keep an eye out for your streams and videos. I love grasp seeing the animation + demolish can really help with plates but I hear that fleet (+precision tree) is better. Im looking for an all purpose setup, and I like the survival of fleet but I’m usually playing towards the shroom build. In the video I saw liandries zonya banshee as a good core Fleet build that I’ll try out, but would you also recommend that for core Aery? With Aery I’m trying not to get focused on secondaries but I see value in cheap shot/tob + ultimate hunter for more shrooms, I want big damage and high cd shrooms
I used to OTP Teemo but when I reached Gold, I got matched against a Gold 3 Cassio OTP with 1.300.000 points and I got stomped so hard that I just stopped playing Teemo. Now I don’t play league anymore but if you did a guide on how to beat that vile champ with magic burn, CC and double health I might try again…
until she gets an item shes super beatable. dodging q into 1 auto poke weaving in and out of her w+r makes it winnable. she also sucks at dealing with shrooms so she hates pushing into you
Example 2 would have been a 15m surrender in all pre-diamond elo brackets because people couldn't handle a single death deficit xD Enemy Jungler 4:1, Enemy-Mid 3:0, Enemy-ADC 5:3 and a fkin Teemo in our team? get me the F outta this game xD

Why did I lose focus many times just to observe that majestic dance?
...wait, ima teemo main
Very good video - Love it!
Best teemo guide I ever seen
Ich merke an deiner Aussprache sofort, dass du ein deutscher bist =) Also herzlichen Glückwunsch zu deiner Leistung
Спасибо за разъяснение! Ты - лучший! успеха во всём
This guide is incredible
didnt't thought that u'll talk about alois AKA Mr.Fundamentals ahah
What do you think about ingenious hunter with crown? I think it might be better if you go crown zhonya than sorcery secondary. Thoughts?
Probably good but I tend to never 100% decide on an item beforehand only like 89%, still runnable
Welcome my friend. I play only teto for last 2y. He is the strongest top in the game
Hey Alan! Big thanks for the guide. Runes have been changed a lot in v13.20. How does it cahnge things for Teemo?
Amazing guide thank you!
Very good content, thank you very much for those tips. I'd only have one question. At 49:50 you talk about seasonnal runes change that might affect tour strategy. I was wondering if you had a tool or website to calculate effectively what are the good meta runes or items at each season ?
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P4reHPHGIZkT5uc1maIrYUflS62_fp8E8tPwTIj-r8o/edit?usp=sharing I've got a sheet that I try to update
Hello alan. From a riven players perspective, what do you think the optimal way to play is? Is level 1 cheese ever viable if both players play competently? how about contesting the early push at all? does the matchup change if teemo has boneplating or buys early armor?
esp vs low elo teemos lvl 1 all in will probably work more often than it doesnt
@@Alan234 im masters trying to climb higher so id like to play it as well as possible assuming the teemo is also playing very well
you won my sub with this guide, can you do a guide of items for the S14 ?
I could make a tierlist
W take from THE based Teemo enjoyer
Hey man, do you have any specifics tips to deal with Udyr in the opposing team?
Alan gigachad
thanks for the video champ
THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR THIS VID
this guy even looks like teemo irl
Thanks for the free elo guide!
I love sorakas name
In the second game could you explain why you didn't go the swift boots? I missed that
Incredible guide!
if i could ask, how would a fiora play against a teemo with swifties? feels completely unplayable. Ive started to see it a bit more often since you started posting and i genuinely have no clue what to do.
all in threat with ignite and stridebreaker, but can be hard! mostly about stat checking and w'ing the q
@@Alan234 thank you!!!
With Aery I’m trying not to get focused on secondaries but I see value in cheap shot/tob + ultimate hunter for more shrooms,
I want big damage and high cd shrooms
sure, nothing wrong with taking those on aery
Let me sum this guide up:
1. Do not necessarily kill your enemy.
2. How to be the devil.
Here before this video blows up.
P.S.: Zähne etwas auseinander beim Reden. Das hilft ungemein bei der Verständlichkeit.
MY jungler stole crab away from me -.-'
Thanks for this epic guide Alan
naaah, you win 1v1s without the extra stats usually and you win most games through grouping, splitting is a tool to getting ahead
Are there any champs Teemo likes to have on his team? Any synergies/team combos?
Nice guide. Your mic is slightly clipping at some points like at 9:30-9:35. Not a big problem tho
Thank you, now i can nore easily counter a good teemo player
Alan is the most wholesome toplane player
Really important question:
-Which champ do we ban? :D
13:41 wise words 😂
I never played temo before and i got 6 wins 6 first games thx my life is fun now
you seem like a cool guy and you should be proud of yourself
the rabbit in the corner makes it look a bit amateurish though
Nah the rabbit is well beloved on my stream
I used to OTP Teemo but when I reached Gold, I got matched against a Gold 3 Cassio OTP with 1.300.000 points and I got stomped so hard that I just stopped playing Teemo. Now I don’t play league anymore but if you did a guide on how to beat that vile champ with magic burn, CC and double health I might try again…
until she gets an item shes super beatable. dodging q into 1 auto poke weaving in and out of her w+r makes it winnable. she also sucks at dealing with shrooms so she hates pushing into you
just ban her lol
Example 2 would have been a 15m surrender in all pre-diamond elo brackets because people couldn't handle a single death deficit xD
Enemy Jungler 4:1, Enemy-Mid 3:0, Enemy-ADC 5:3 and a fkin Teemo in our team? get me the F outta this game xD
this guy was still in the first years of school when ipav was teaching teemo and now he claims he is the best. xD
