thanks for the videos.... I have a boat question. First I've been bass fishing club tournaments for many years and enjoy saltwater also. I'm in Savannah Ga. I fish freshwater from a ranger Z519 and saltwater in a 184 ghost. I have noticed on your boat you have a stabilizer for your trolling motor. I have one on the bass boat ultrex and would like to have one on the terrova on the flats boat, but don't care for the ones you have to latch. what do you have on your boat? thank you
Thanks for the video. Coming to inshore fishing from bass fishing, I'm finding lots of similarities. I' d been wandering about fishing a Ned rig with a ZMan shrimp on BSF gear. Now I feel much more confident about trying it.
Capt CA have you ever tried a big Beatle Spin in the saltwater? I just got a couple 1/2 oz versions with the same split tails like the small ones for panfish but a lot bigger. And you can put whatever jig head you want on it and obviously whatever soft plastic. They're under $3, and they look like the Strike King Redfish Magic spinnerbait to me and they're $6 each. When the weather gets tolerable around the Chesapeake again I'll try them for redfish and hopefully flounder will like them. Edit, I don't see a link to the line you're using.
@@alexanderren1097 I just moved here in July but I grew up fishin' in Florida. I mostly used bait there but I caught some reds on jigs. But up here I've been using lots of jig heads and soft plastics. But I've caught a few on a chatterbait, and on Trout Magic underspinners, and one on a Redfish Magic. Right now it's too cold for a FL man to be chasing fish up here but in the spring I'll be back out in my kayak or a pier trying new stuff. Cheers.
Really enjoy the videos! Been watching for quite a few years now. You mentioned power finesse fishing. Probably a dumb question, but I’m curious as to what you mean. I use moving baits all the time, so winter time with negative low tides and cold water is where I struggle. I know you are supposed to slow down. How can you power fish a small finesse bait that you are supposed to work so painstakingly slow ?
Keep up the Awsome work.
Love the idea of cast-able fluorocarbon.
Ken it definitely gives the lure more movement
What knot did you use at the jig head
Improved Clinch or Palomar knot to jig head… thank you for watching
Captain Richardson will the "old" flats class episodes ever be available to view again?
Hopefully one day Michael we will see… but I’ll be sure to give everyone a big heads up here first
Thankyou sir 👍 ❤@@flatsclasscharters

Similar in diameter but stronger

You will find out that inshore fishing is a lot like bass fishing with tidal influences
where can I find 10 lb. white Diamond braid.....smallest I see on their website is 60 lb. Thank you in advance

I like where you are going with that idea… bet it will work
Caught my first flounder on the Strike King Redfish Magic. Keeping a couple in my tackle box always.
I’ve caught reds on those sorts of lures in Louisiana so I don’t see any reason it wouldn’t work in your area

I will slow swim those Ned rigs with a swim and stop repeat retrieve with no rod twitching and it covers water and catches fish
