- Florida Football played its 2024 spring game, which was Orange vs Blue.
Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.

The best part of my work as a RUclipsr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other RUclipsrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

This was actually a much cleaner spring game this year

Coming from a non Florida fan, Lagway looks good. You can clearly see the different speed in which he plays and throws the ball. He's a freshman, so it's good he has a year to develop. RBs look really good too.
Mertz will have a solid season, but that defense still looks like a work in progress at best.

I think Mertz will get benched in the Miami game after being ineffective...and after Lagway makes a splash play or 2, it's curtains for him.

Freshman Jadan Baugh looked good at RB also Lagway had some really nice plays. 👍
I played with Jadan at Columbia high. The dude is just an athlete.

One of the best spring games we’ve had in a long time , we have good depth this year & mannn I’m so excited for 2 can’t wait til he can learn and run this team later , we in good hands with mertz guys jus have to win they match ups , 3 will be our allstar that dude is 🔥🔥🔥🤞🏽
I love Florida's colors. Always so nice to look at. Florida and USC and LSU have my favorite jerseys. Not a fan of either team.

Pros:
Offense looks efficient and deep
Defense has a little more ball awareness for forcing turnovers
Lagway looks good. Could be an incredible player VERY soon.
Cons:
Special teams is still a problem.
Our kickers are NOT reliable.
You only need one kicker. The rest they rotated today to get some semi resemblance to a real game…for depth.

Hopefully, we can get six wins and a bowl game. The playcalling is still the same and special teams fielded 10 guys again. DJ looks for real though.
While i agree with you regarding last years play calling, its the spring game... youre crazy if you think Napier just opens up the whole playbook. I can assure you other programs are already starting to do their hw on other teams and their spring game footage.

Mertz succeeds through familiarity and communication. Lagway succeeds through just having that dog in him.
Liked what I saw for most of the game but my goodness when will we ever have a decent special teams? 3 missed FG’s by the backup K, 10 guys out on the field on D for the FG block team, and at the last second rushed the 11th guy on the field on the kickoff team.. we hired the Patriots ST coach and saw 0 improvements.
Hes not a kicker, nor is he the backup kicker. He's a punter and was being use as a kicker bc we only have trey smack. We need to get one in the portal

Down ah couple Receivers so I can’t really judge our WR Room but Burke & Tre carried today they really looked apart from Mizell & Jackson & the rest who played
Nah Burke, Tre, Jackson, Mizell, no.30 I can't quite remember how to say his name but he played great, Dike had some big catches and BHam No.8 they all some weapons and our running back room looks scary, our O-Line looked great they just looked a bit rusty out there

Looks good from 20-20. I see some of the same problems as last year. Offense moves the ball from 20-20 no problem then settles for field goals. At least the first team. Mertz is amazing at moving down the field until the red zone. Once we get inside the 20 put lagway in to score it cause he gets in the end zone

While I think tre Wilson’s talents hit a different way than a lot of people think they do, he’s going to be a BIG piece to what we bring to the table this year

Lagway is different, makes quick decisions, ball comes out fast, pocket presence. managed the game a lot better than Mertz in my opinion.
Lagway will be the starter before the end of next season. I'm guessing around mid-season.

Is it just me or does Johnson lack vision? Maybe I lack vision haha but he’s super explosive and hard to tackle, yet there’s a few plays here where it seems to be a small hole, and he cuts it outside right into a defender.

Unbias observations as a Florida state fan. Lagway looks incredible, and could be special. Florida’s run defense is absolute garbage. O line doesn’t look too good at pass protection, probably close to the same as last year. WR’s look good even though they were missing a couple. Lastly, Florida’s DB’s look awful again.
They’re missing two staring olinemen and dbs are way better, gonna shit on fsu.

The guy is right, this O-Line is hot, "I REPEAT" hot garbage! fuck all that talk about looking for other offensive weapons in the summer portal.
