Hank actually did pretty good for being a batman rookie. I mean he took out 5 animal human hybrids and freed his dad and general from their prison cell, He just needs to work on his escape plans. I mean using the ipads self destruct button was a good idea, but i have to agree with the jaguar dude when he said, that those kinds of devices, don’t do so well in wet jungle environments.
To be fair, the pad probably would of worked if set to go off earlier, Hank was using what he had on hand afterall, which is kinda what batman would do in a situation without his gadgets.

It does somewhat work in a way though, not as practical as actual binoculars, but consider that you are forcing your eyes to focus on a specific location, it really does help figure out what the hell you are looking at.
