Seeing my Minutemen going from a rag tag militia to an actual professional military sure is a sight to behold. Now I have APC's, vertibirds, better weapons and armor. Now I have something more to add to my arsenal!
As it ought to be. A readily available, versatile and well-supplied MM could easily retake and hold the Commonwealth. And places like Nuka World and Far Harbor could benefit from similar local militias (rather than the Commonwealth expanding it's borders, which is counter to the idea of the MM, I think.)
I recommend the minutemen rearmament mod, which replaces all the minutemen's weapons with MK18 assault rifles or the SREP versions of the service rifle, also the M2 flamethrower that replaces the vanilla flamethrowers... listen to me and download it, which along with the mod From the video, it seems that the RNC is in the commonwealth.
This really is a fantastic mod Kitting Minutemen out at the fort, usually a bit of a boring chore, is now pretty cool, and having them all geared up in similar fashion looks good enough, but the added details to their specific roles looks even more awesome when you're done.
i know i'm hella late and someone probably already said this, but the engraving on the sword "virtute non armis fido" translates to "i trust in virtue, not in arms"
Definitely gonna pick this up. This is the look I've always wanted for The Minutemen. I just wish there was something like this for the BOS. They're the only faction in my game (besides Raiders) that still has vanilla armor and accessories.
There's a mod called "Improved Boss" which changes armors (higher ranking officers have better armor and ranks showing on power armor) and textures. It doesn't change too much but it definitely makes them better than before.
This is my head-canon Minutemen. Playing as male SS, a decorated soldier, and encountering the Gunners so often, the MM would undoubtedly benefit by SS leadership and improved armaments. Though I think it'd be better if every Commonwealth citizen serves at some time, rather than being an exclusively volunteer militia.
With the comradery and equipment all volunteer is easy. It's that or live in a ditch as Clem points out while trying to join Vault 88. Heck even Lucy Abernathy wants to join the Minutemen.
I personally Run my Sole Survivor as a Prewar member of the very starts of the enclave. Being pumped full of that propaganda. He runs the Minuteman as Partial Militia. Partial army. Most of the minutemen’s forces are pulled from normal commonwealth citizenry in times of crisis. But those who show resolve and Grit as well as Gunners worth sparing. Have the option to join the army. A highly skilled force hand trained by My sole survivor at the minuteman bases in The Mechanist’s Lair, The Castle, Vault 88, and Spectacle Island.
@@awesomechainsaw I always liked the idea of the SS having a bit of dialogue with the BoS, like "Enclave? I got scouted by some government agency for a leadership position after I was discharged. Couldn't do it, Nora was pregnant with Shaun." Frankly it's disappointing the preset soldier/lawyer backgrounds of both characters don't have secret dialogue or added benefits. I'd love for a prewar Mr Gutsy to side with you over Gunners if it pulled your file and realized you were of high rank.

Wish the "battle belt" could be crafted separately like the vest. Also, the backpacks seem to interfere with See Through Scopes. When crouched, the backpack completely blocks your field of view. If you're standing the scopes work just fine.
I've been wanting to do a full play through with a minutemen ending but I keep getting to certain parts and just forgetting and accidentally deleting or running out of save data on my Xbox and having to delete but now that I found mods I'm definitely completing a minutemen ending
One type of garment that should be added to this mod is a revised version of the BoS uniform, wich looks like a suit designed to be worn under power armor.
This is a pretty neat mod, just a heads up for console players: The headsets are invisible. The mod author claimed to fix that issue on pc, but it still persists on console. Also for some reason this mod renames some of the base guns. Still, this is a pretty cool mod.
Something I noticed recently on the Xbox One version is that it adds in CBBE versions of some of the outfits that can be crafted. Because of this, if you're using the vanilla body, it basically ruins it. Weird, ugly, splotchy patches, underwear is gone, huge weird black patch on the left shoulder. So may want to run with CBBE, unless I had an issue in my load order. Also, couldn't get the headsets on the beret to work, which was a shame. Dak, you're doing amazing work, love your videos!

Hello, I am Spanish speaker so I am using a translator (in case this comment reads strangely), they recently added an update in which they modify the vanilla weapons of the game, I currently have the replacement mods installed modern weapons and somehow it causes some conflict in the files, so the weapons become invisible or deformed becoming unplayable, what I want to know is if there is any way to fix this? o Are you going to add a patch to fix this? since I am fascinated with all the mods mentioned above so it would hurt a lot to have to preclude this fascinating mod to be able to play normally :´(

@@ImmortalAbsol This is far from tacticool (or at least the base Militarized Minutemen is). The vests are pretty similar to what you see on the Brotherhood fatigues, and most of the other equipment is inspired by stuff you see elsewhere in Fallout. There is a hint of something that resembles MOLLE straps on the back of the vest, but it's vague and unclear enough that it could just as easily be simple reinforcement. The helmets and fatigues are more or less Vietnam era. Nothing that's overly difficult to manufacture if you have even one industrial loom working. Remember, Fallout civilian society may look like they're in the '50's, but the pre-war military is closer to the 80's or even early 90's. Lore friendly doesn't mean only 40s-50s era tech. The OG Fallout games had MP5s, P90s (a gun specifically designed to defeat body armor), FALs, etc. Hell, the Plasma Pistol was made by Glock. Really any Cold War-era stuff can be considered lore friendly.
So I have a question: I checked the Nexus for the Far West Minutemen and it said that it was compatible with other Overhauls IIRC. However, I'm kind of unsure. Would that be compatible with the Militarized Minuteman Mod at all? Or would that mess things up?

Cant get this mod to work. It will ctd when i highlight an armor set in armor workbench. I really wanna try this out!! Edit: Cleared all mods and redownloaded everything. I only switched AWKCR and Armorsmith Ext to the frameworks versions. Totally works now. and im not sure if that was even conflicting...just in case anybody else runs into these issues
Having the same issue but don't have AWKCR downloaded. I may give it a shot. I'm seeing console players, myself included encountering the issue but not receiving much help on the matter Edit: found Armorsmith EXT frameworks version but couldn't find the AWKCR frameworks. I'm using this on Xbox, and I like it. Unfortunately, every time I try to work on the new this introduces at the armor workbench, my game immediately crashes as soon as I scroll over the uniform. Anyone have a solution?
I'm having the same issue and it's been very difficult trying to find any thing on it. At first I thought maybe it was my load order but after sorting by the letter to the Load order survival guide I think it's an issue not really widely talked about for Xbox yet. I'm still looking for something on it though and let you know if I find something.

PS4 only supports internal mods. Basically you can only change files that are already in the game file. You can't have external mods on ps4 I'm sorry to say.
So the mod doesn't do anything beyond editing the level lists with new stuff then and not increased patrols ect the way WATM does? Because I already gave my Minutemen a "Tacticool" look using PMC and Galac-Tac
That's a good point. I forgot that PC has an actual holster mod. I'm playing on Xbox and IIRC there isn't an actual classic holster mod for us yet, so the uniform's holster never bothered me. If you haven't done so already, try contacting the mod author about it. He might be able to make it spawn without the holster by default in a future update.

I wonder if the authors of this mod remember that everything in the "Fallout" universe should correspond to the concept of retrofuturism, including elements of costomization (equipment, ammunition, etc.). Not once and in any game, I have not seen a single mod that would affect customization, which would be done well. I think the more such amateurs get carried away, the worse they do. It would be good if in this fashion they simply added the minutemen coat of arms on combat armor and added such uniforms to the minutemen's equipment, dressing them in such armor and adding ranks to them based on their level (by analogy with the ranks of "the gunners") and did not add anything else.

It would be great if the mod was simple, lore friendly, and not so militarized in a modern way that it doesn't match the theme and aesthetic of the game.

I feel this mod would be even cooler if it had some type of formal uniforms.
I hope for the battle belt they do a retro version of it, similar to the 1950-1960s load carrying equipment with suspenders and whatnot

That's a good point. I forgot that PC has an actual holster mod. I'm playing on Xbox and IIRC there isn't an actual classic holster mod for us yet, so the uniform's holster never bothered me. If you haven't done so already, try contacting the mod author about it. He might be able to make it spawn without the holster by default in a future update.

I wonder if the authors of this mod remember that everything in the "Fallout" universe should correspond to the concept of retrofuturism, including elements of costomization (equipment, ammunition, etc.). Not once and in any game, I have not seen a single mod that would affect customization, which would be done well. I think the more such amateurs get carried away, the worse they do. It would be good if in this fashion they simply added the minutemen coat of arms on combat armor and added such uniforms to the minutemen's equipment, dressing them in such armor and adding ranks to them based on their level (by analogy with the ranks of "the gunners") and did not add anything else.

Modern weapons and gear, like MOLLE/PALS, just anachronistically breaks the immersion in Fallout 4. Great vids though. Keep 'em coming
