Nobody pushed Angelina into music, in fact the family had to restrain her ambitions somewhat so that she could have as normal childhood as possible and to finish school. Now that she is "Old Enough" (the name of her recently released EP) and at 17 she is now fully involved in her music career as she graduated from school.

Angelina was deeply into music from extremely young age and the exposure to old music came from her grandmother. She was not pushed in any way to pursue singing. It's just what she has wanted to do since she could speak her first words.

Nope, no pushy parents. It is 100% her personal drive from a very young age. She knows what she is destined to do and pursues it fiercely. Her parents and grandmother are doing outstanding work in protecting her and supporting her journey. Phenomenal artist 🤯👣🧡🧡🙌❣️

---- Angelina was first singing when 18 months old when her mother recorded her holding a microphone and singing Whitney Houston's song I Will Always Love You after hearing Whitney singing it on RUclips. AJ's mother said that she became obsessed with listening to music videos, singing all the time, and grew up loving jazz, influenced by her maternal grandmother Mery Zamani (herself an artist child prodigy and poet). Angelina was blessed to go to the top-rated Oslo Waldorf School that emphasizes the arts in its curriculum (they have a full theater and professional quality recording studio) plus attended the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program (in Norway, it is by law that all children 6 to 15 years-old attend extracurricular schools of music and performing arts). Angelina learned to play the piano, violin, guitar and flute, and also paints. She is multi-lingual knowing Norwegian, English, Swedish, plus some Japanese and Farsi. And one of her favorite places to visit as a child in Oslo was Bare Jazz Kafé (Only Jazz Cafe) where she heard records of the great jazz singers of the past.
---- There is a early years (up to 8-years old) fan-made documentary about AJ that is fantastic (easily TV quality). There is interspersing of AJ singing at older ages up to 13-years old: ruclips.net/video/jE6x9V8Cnyw/видео.html
---- AJ is Norwegian being born in Oslo. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, is Iranian. Her mother's father (i.e., maternal grandfather) was Japanese. AJ's father is Swedish
---- Among the past artists that she listened to are Billy Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Dinah Washington, Frank Sinatra, Patsy Cline, and Elvis Presley. Some of the many modern artists that she listens to and has covered include Beyonce, Sam Smith, Adele, Lana Del Ray, The Beatles, Queen, Amy Winehouse, Rihanna, Duffy, Labrinth, Whitney Houston, Elton John, and Miley Cyrus. Some of her additional favorite artists include Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Post Malone, and Eminen. AJ sings in many music genres spanning jazz, R&B, soul, gospel, country, pop, rock, EDM, classical, disco, movie soundtrack, etc and across eras from the 1920's to 2020's
---- AJ is up at 3 AM or 4 AM playing instruments, doing research and preparation for songs. She checks out chord progressions and experiments both musically and vocally. Many snippets of these late night sessions have been published online. She writes her songs from her journals that she has kept since a child and is said to have over 100 songs ready to work upon. Her new EP released on July 21st has six songs that she co-wrote. Her LP is coming out shortly with at least 5 more songs that she co-wrote. She is shortly going to announce a worldwide tour with a band
---- At 9-years old she became the youngest author of Norway when her book "Mellom to hjerter" (Between Two Hearts) was published in November 2015. It was the story of when 6-year old Angelina, then living in the Middle East, met a girl about her age weighing people on the side of the road to make money. This little girl was barefoot so AJ took off her shoes and gave it to the little girl who thanked her and said she would pray for Angelina. AJ then decided to always perform barefoot to remember that girl and to point out to others how fortunate we are while others are not. The prose in this book is incredible (well beyond AJ's age) as can be heard in excepts during a podcast by AJ's publisher, Cappelen Damm, in November 2015. In the podcast AJ is talking with Erling Kittelsen, an award winning Norwegian author, poet and friend of the family: ruclips.net/video/6p6iL989P_8/видео.html
---- Here are a few of the many songs Angelina has performed that you can also react to:
    - What A Difference A Day Makes (as 8-year old, sung Dinah Washington classic on Allsang På Grensen at Fredriksten Fortress in Halden, Norway on June 3, 2014. Angelina's presentation of song belies her age: ruclips.net/video/ZSfgCIGd7k4/видео.html)
    - Shield [as 12-year old, Angelina co-wrote about someone you love and whose strong love protects you wherever you are. She sung on very popular Scandinavian talk show Skavlan (2.5 to 3 million viewers per show): ruclips.net/video/lQtUbVKb0vs/видео.html]
    - Million Miles (co-wrote as 14-year old after her maternal grandfather died and she was thinking about great memories she had and how it hurts to lose someone. Angelina dedicated song to anyone who has lost loved one. Angelina made Republic Records studio live video: ruclips.net/video/3KxvwuZ7oEM/видео.html)
    - 7th Heaven (co-wrote as 15-year old, Angelina said that “The song is a reminder to look at everything in a positive light and not get down on yourself. Most importantly-no matter what you’re doing-don’t give up. It’s also meant to make you dance.” Angelina made Republic Records studio live video: ruclips.net/video/bM8DzMRbiIc/видео.html)
    - I Have Nothing (as 16-year old, Angelina sings Whitney Houston's song in music video shot in black & white in LA antique store: ruclips.net/video/iX0g99jN26U/видео.html)
    - Valerie (as 17-year old, sung Amy Winehouse’s 2007 hit song live on Germany’s Next Top Model popular TV show by Heidi Klum: ruclips.net/video/JahKZ6aYFbI/видео.html)
    - Love Don’t Let Me Go (co-wrote as 17-year old, music video shot in black and white interspersing Angelina singing in studio with her driving 1955 Porsche 356 Speedster with grandmother Mery Zamani in car. Lead song on her just released EP: ruclips.net/video/1U6WY_z8Vu8/видео.html)
    - Now I’m The Fool (co-wrote as 17-year old, music video shot in black and white. Angelina is sassy and pours out her heart with feelings of pain expressed visually and vocally. Second song on her just released EP: ruclips.net/video/8BXCVY_-RmU/видео.html)
    - Diamond (co-wrote as 17-year old, audio of sixth song on her just released EP that in middle has some rapping: ruclips.net/video/qQjxAKAHSgs/видео.html)

Angelina is one of the most addictive singers I have ever listened to, & one of the very few, that can pull you right into the song, making you feel, every word, every note, & every emotion. ❤💙 I always have this feeling that Angelina is not only channeling some of these late great singers, but that they also pass through her, when she is singing their song,& is why she can capture the true spirit of the original singer ❤💙 A rare beauty, in every sense of the word ❤💙 And I love your channel Black Pegasus, and love that you introduce new artists to great music that is not normally in their real house....Some people are just born with a gift, & Angelina was one of them!!!

Angelina was 9 years old in this performance - Her nationality is Norwegian but is fluent in English even at this age - This song was not arranged for her - she wrote the vocal arrangement based on listening to the original Screamin' Jay Hawkins version and communicated to the band how she wanted it to be played - in fact, at the beginning of the video you see Angelina writing down some last-minute changes and it is read by the bandleader. You also notice that her own handwritten notes are on the music stand in front of her as she sings. For more insight into how Angelina works, here is a rehearsal video with some of the same band members at the same age (9 yrs old) - You will see that she is aware of what each musician is doing and communicates to them what she wants to do. The first thing she says is that she wants to start, followed by her saying she wants to start over, later she tells the pianist that the key is too low and that she wants to raise it a half-tone, then at the end of the song she changes the ending on the fly. The spoken language is Norwegian: ruclips.net/video/80f3t3dmBbk/видео.html

Believe it or not, this all her. The motivation, the choices, the arrangement, everything. She has always been self-directed and has been attracted to old-school blues and jazz since she was two. This is her interpretation - not copy - of the crazy-ass 1956 original by Screamin' Jay Hawkins (the guy with the bone in his nose on the candle). If it seems like a miracle for a 9-year old to be doing this, well it is. She's 17-years old now, 6ft tall and stunning. She' was born in Norway from a Swedish father and a half-Persian, half-Japanese mother. She speaks Norwegian, Swedish, English, and a little Japanese and a little German. She is one of a kind. 😎

A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice.
She was only 9 years old when she performed this song. It is her tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, an American singer/songwriter. He wrote and performed it in 1956 and Angelina based her performance on the original, although she did make some subtle alterations to both lyrics and melody. As you continue your journey of discovering Angelina, you will come to realise that she does her own arrangements of most of the cover songs she sings. The differences may not be immediately discernible on first listening to them, but they are there. There may be a subtle change in tempo or tone, or more inflexion on some words, or a phrase may differ in pitch from the original. The amount of control that Angelina has over her voice cannot be measured. She never hurries a song. She sings in such a way that the emotions in the lyrics are felt by the listener. In this video did you notice:Angelina finishing some notes and handing them to the pianist, who smiled as he read them? They were her wishes (instructions) to the band how she wished therm to play the music. In the band, she was called a boss.

Guys, I have been following her career from 7 to 17. Angelina Jordan is a Norwegian Jazz singer who signed with Republic Records 4 years ago and has released her first American album, "Old Enough." She is now living in L.A. This is Her back story: Angelina was born a child musical prodigy who started singing still in her baby crib. She was influenced by jazz music through her grandmother's love for classic Jazz Singer. At 8 years old Angelina auditioned for the 2014 season of Norway Got Talent singing, "Gloomy Sunday" in the style of Billie Holiday, the video went viral online worldwide. Angelina sang three other classic songs, ending with "Summertime" winning the contest. In this video, Angelina was 9 years old and re-arranged the Screamin' Jay Hawkins song, before the recording. The studio Band was so impressed with her arrangement and performance they named her the "Boss!" Enjoy the ride, believe me, you won't be disappointed !!!

Angelina auditioned for the 2014 Season of Norske Talenter in a prerecorded session in the late autumn of 2013 when she was 7 years old (the youngest participant so far registered to audition for Norske Talenter), singing Gloomy Sunday based on Billie Holiday's version. Angelina's birthday is January 10th, so she was barely 8 years old when she sang Holiday's version of I'm A Fool To Want You 'a capella', and was 8 years and 5 months when she won the show in May of 2014, after her performance of Gershwin's Summertime, inspired by the Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong version of the song.

One big thing that Mother, Sara Astair, insisted was that Angelina has as much of a normal life growing up as possible Sara and Angelina's uncle and manager, Michael Astar limited what performances Angelina would do sometimes saying no to over 90% of the requests even so Angelina has performed all over the world from age 8 to now age 17. Angelina plays the piano, guitar, violin, and flute and has sung in 5 languages, and has over 180 covers of all genres all of which will amaze you, Angelina has worked hard for children and humanitarian relief and was the youngest author in Norway with a book (Between two Hearts) a story of why she wears no shoes during a performance.

Angelina was 9 years old in this video. This was her own arrangement paying tribute to the original artist Screamin’ Jay Hawkins.
Many people are not aware that Sreamin’ Jay Hawkins was a boxing champ. He joined the army at age 13 using forged ID. He was a formidable opponent in the army and later in the airforce boxing circuits. He won several boxing golden glove awards mostly in his hometown of Cleveland. In 1949 he won Alaska’s middleweight title.

She spoke Norwegian at home, but also knows, Swedish, Japanese, Farsi, and English. Her grandfather was Japanese, her grandmother is Iranian. Her grandmother was/is a big influence and introduced to to the old greats.. a lot of jazz. Billie Holiday was her biggest influence...at least at young age. She sang Billie Holiiday on Norway's Got Talent at 7/8 and won. Much much more about her, so it's very understandable to not know or remember everything. She was born to do this. It's not mimicking. She learned different styles from everyone and put them together to make the Angelina sound. You really should check out her new EP just to hear, if not react. There are also about 200 vids of her through the years showing her journey and progression and you maybe understand why so many are passionate about her.

Thanks for telling the barefoot story. The important part you missed was that Angelina gave her favorite pair of shoes to the young orphan girl who had none. And she vowed never to perform with shoes again to remind her of all those less fortunate.
I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction and your genuine and insightful comments. I'm looking forward to your next video. I'd like to share some constructive information that will help your channel and those of your featured artists. Some reactors unintentionally overlook the fact that there are two aspects that will elevate their channel to the next level. A great reaction of course is a given, but also recommended is genuine support and promotion of your featured artists, the same as you promote your own channel! If you support their favorite artists, the fans will support you.
Realize most viewers do not go to your description on their own and therefore miss your valuable information. I suggest making the effort to link not only the artist's original video but also their Official RUclips Channel and social media links. Most important is to direct fans to your description and recommend that viewers like, share, comment, and subscribe to the artist, AND to your channel as well! Also you may suggest that the fans purchase and stream the artists music from their chosen platforms.
These actions provide the artist deserved credit and also expose both of you to more people, via the RUclips algorithm. This also introduces the fans to your playlist and other critical links. It is a win-win for both. Provide the artist equal priority and you will be rewarded with greater fan loyalty and subscriptions. Peace and love.

Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on RUclips. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz.
Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate.
At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on RUclips went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a RUclips video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on RUclips. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On RUclips, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina has posted numerous short performances on Tik Tok and Instagram. Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022. In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles. On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions. On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go". On July 23th she released her orginal EP “Old Enough”.
Angelina will be performing in Concert at the Music Hall in Portsmouth New Hampshire on Sept 22nd, 2023 - there are still some tickets available.

waldemar I'm sure you have some good information here but it looks like everything is done in one paragraph. I learned it is much easier to read if it is broken up in different paragraphs and add a line of space in between the paragraphs. If you lose your place in your paragraph it takes it a lot just to find where you left off and it's easy to lose your place going from one line to the next and lose or can't find the next line. Thus the spacing. Just a suggestion. 🙂♥👣

When she was one and a half she knew she wanted to sing, her grandmother is from the Middle East and was a big jazz head and turned her on to jazz. When she was 3 you could start to see the singing potential,so she started to work on her craft and at the age of 6 she started to rehearse in a studio,at the age of 7 she participated in "Norway's Got Talent" and won. After that she was on her way. What she did with "I Put A Spell On You" was truly amazing and by the way,the arrangement was hers, she took the original version by "Screaming" Jay Hawkins that came out in 1956 and was a blues track and put a jazz spin on and did the vocals in a more dynamic fashion. That's Angelina Jordan

Angelina was primarily influenced by jazz, however, her parents never pushed her into music, and in fact, sometimes put the brakes on it so that she would have a normal childhood. With very few exceptions Angelina chooses what songs to sing and how she will sing them - she writes her own vocal arrangements except on very rare occasions. You need to watch the following 20-minute documentary to get a better understanding of both Angelina Jordan the Singer and Angelina Jordan the person: ruclips.net/video/jE6x9V8Cnyw/видео.html

AJ is not 'self taught' she attended an arts school, where she first got in a recording studio when she was 6 years old. Her Grandmother Meri was responsible for showing her a lot of Jazz early on. And her decision to be a singer was her own, suppoerted by the family she has put in many hours of hard work since she was 5. And now her EP 'Old Enough' is proof of that work.

    • @rburkett1939
      @rburkett1939 11 месяцев назад +2

The arts school she attended taught her to protect her voice when she sang but it has been said they did not try and “teach” her how to sing they didn’t want to change her unusual natural approach to singing that she had already developed by watching top of the line jazz singers on RUclips since she was 2 or 3….this is my understanding, which in my mind translates to self taught outside of some coaching on how to protect her voice, the rest of her vocal training was derived from RUclips videos, listening for hours a day and absorbing techniques of jazz greats, especially Billie Holiday.

    - The Barefoot Princess -
(From her book, television and radio interviews, and podcasts made between 2014-2015. Includes excerpts from her diary made that day in 2012.)
Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them.
Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. Right then and there, I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. To be able to do something for another human - it was such a big thing…hard to describe really.”
From that point on, Angelina takes off her shoes, in honor of ‘Princess’ and all the other less fortunate children of the world, who are orphaned, hungry, or in want of even basic clothing. In 2015, at the age of 9, Angelina wrote a book about the encounter, as everyone continued to ask why she sang barefoot. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, created the artwork for the book. So at 9, Angelina Jordan became the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina has performed alongside many other artists, raising attention and helping to raise over 21 million euros and millions of dollars for children in need.

She did the pushing. She is and has always been in charge. Nerves of steel and the band calls her The Boss. She was 9 here and is 17 now.
She was 6 when she gave the orphan girl her favorite shoes. She is the youngest published author in Norway when she wrote the story. She went viral when she performed Gloomy Sunday by Billie Holiday on Norway's Got Talent 2014 at 7 years old. She won at 8 finishing with Summertime.

She’s from Oslo, Norway. Her Grandmother is an Iranian artist. Her Grandfather was Japanese. She is already a world traveler.
There is a video of her at 18 months in her crib singing into a mic. When she was three she started asking her mom to register her for the Got Talent show. She had to be seven for Norway’s Got Talent. She was half the size of the other contestants and the youngest and she Won! Age 13 she was asked to sing on America’s Got Talent The Champion’s. She said she had been waiting to sing for Simon for 10 years. Out of this group of songs I suggest her version of Bohemian Rhapsody. Queen was so impressed they contacted her and gave her the Copyright to her version. It starts a cappella.
At three she was finding music on iPad she wanted to listen to. She was exposed to American jazz at her Grandmother’s.

In Angelina's own words (from an interview with American Songwriter), you can read about the reason she performs barefooted: As fans have come to know, Jordan likes to perform barefoot, in honor of a young girl she met when was 6 who didn’t have any shoes. Ever since the young singer gave that girl her shoes, she’s performed without wearing her own. ...... “I want to remind myself that there are less fortunate people around the world who need help,” she says. “It is a great reminder for me.” (No promise made; no mention of all children having shoes.)
