Gentlemen, the guitar player is Egil Clausen, one of Norways highly regarded musicians. He and Angelina met when she was around 8 years old, performing for the Prime Minister of Norway. Egil is to this day a close friend of her and her family. Remember this was just a "rehearsal" or better said, her daily practice session, she does 36 hours a week. For reasons of eventual correcting her singing it often was recorded. When the family discovered the entuthiasm of her fans for this snippets, they began releasing them time after time.

You have to imagine what her age was in 2017... In her appearance on AGT Champions, in 2020, she was 13... so, she had to have been no older than 11 in this video.

This is the uniqueness that is Angelina, her recordings aren't production quality all the time, much of her early stuff is recorded on a phone, She's doing the work, putting the time in, perfecting her sound, she's putting in her 10,000 hrs.....and it's paying off BIG TIME! His name is Egil Clausen, he played with AJ while she was in Norway, when they moved to the US she hooked up with another guitarist named Ivan Mendez, an extremely talented musician.......
Charity, she donated the 80,000 dollars she won on Norway’s Got Talent
Angelina Jordan won Norway’s Got Talent at the age of 8 in 2014, the prize for winning was eighty thousand dollars, this money was donated to children’s charities. At age 8 her first charity performance was in Germany to raise money for heart disease. Again, at age 8 she does a telethon for Plan International Children’s Charity. Still at age 8 she performs for Norwegian Sea Rescue Society Charity. On the 12th of Dec still at age 8, she performs at Save The Child Nobel Peace Prize, 4 days later, even though she has a very bad cold, she performs for the Swedish Heroes Foundation against her doctor's orders. At age 10 she performed for the Norwegian Refugee Council Charity. Also age 10 she performed in Seoul in South Korea for Rotary International to raise money for children’s vaccinations. Angelina Jordan comes from a very wealthy family and does need the money, she, and her family want to share her wonderful talent with the world. This is what makes AJ and her family so very special. Her muse is her maternal grandmother who is an Iranian artist (painting/poetry) and jazz lover, it's usually her grandma recording these shots with her phone. She has the support of her family with her singing but none of them is a musician.

Guys, listen for a sec, OK ? There is absolutely NO way that you won't be reacting to her more frequently from now on. Based on your two reaction so far, I see no reason why you shouldn't ramp it up. And the most crazy part ???? You haven't heard ANYTHING yet. This is huge understatement if you can believe that. Personally my favorite stuff of hers is what she did between 10 and 12, in most cases reading the lyrics as she nails it on the 1st attempt. She has more than 250 songs to choose from and i have never seen her miss.

I will say this, if you don't read many comments from listeners I can understand why because of time restraints, etc., BUT, in Angelina's case I STRONGLY suggest you take some of your valuable time and find out what's she's all about. Vocally and artistically she is at a level, even at the age you just heard her at 11-12, which is reserved for only a few (and I'm being generous). When you find out where that soulfulness is coming from and what kind of a beautiful and wonderful human being she is that, in itself will turn you on to her. She is remarkable.
Btw, did you feel a little stirring around inside you as she was singing? That was your heart reacting to the love in her voice. You head can't quite get a handle on what just happened but your heart knew within seconds what was going on.

She wrote Oslo and What Is Life by herself, she co-wrote Shield, Million Milles, 7th Hevean and Love Don't Let Me Go. Song For A, Above The Water, and We're The Best were written by others for her. The rest are covers.
And that's not her Dad. Egil startet for her playing when she was 8.5 years old, and he had accompanied her on tours, including overseas, like in South Korea. Here she was late 11 or early 12.
It's always exciting to watch people discovering Angelina! You may like jumping around in time a bit. She has 160+ YT videos, and the most recent studio recordings, now that she's with Republic Records -- and still only 17 -- show how this amazing voice has developed, her range widened, the full power unleashed and perfectly controlled. She has Adele covers and Amy Winehouse covers, as well as Billie Holliday covers. Her taste in music and the singers she admires is wide ranging.

This was a very interesting reaction for me to listen to. I wish you could continue to explore a bit more of her vast catalogue maybe starting with some more professionally recorded videos. She is using a lot of her trademark breathiness vocals in this rehearsal.

Angelina covers, Whitney on several her songs, Including "I have nothing at 13 ( a tribute to Whitney) and last year she did her own version (and amazing cover video)..additionally AJ cover Freddy many times, in fact there's really not a great singer she hasn't covered. Angelina is 11 years old in this video and she was still living in Norway at that time. That is not Angelina's dad at all. He has his own music studio and he just plays for Angelina when she records a song.
I love this version... Much more so then her various I have nothing covers. Honestly it's another masterpiece.
AJ sings the greatest songs from the greatest artists from the last 100 years, across most genres and kills them all. She even broke into a bit of rap in her performance of "Mercy" for the movie Hating Game.

Guitarist, Egil, is a family friend and AJ's collaborator for impromptu recordings and some of her performances. There typically are not rehearsals for these recordings, they are one and done but this presumably is a rehearsal for an upcoming performance.
She is the truth :) She does tend to sing in a lower - and richer - tone than Whitney which I actually prefer... She is just 11 here, singing with a guitarist friend who played with her from when she was 7 (until she moved to the US and recruited Ivan Mendez as guitarist for her home-covers)... She was a remarkable prodigy who is maturing into a remarkable true musical artist... I think she will go down in history as one of the greatest of all time.
That's not her father, believe it or not her family's not musical in the least; other than appreciative of it. Her grandmother on her mum's side is a famous Iranian artist & poet and lover of classic jazz. Her grandmother is her driving inspiration. You guys really need to check out AJ's AGT performance of her version of Bohemian Rhapsody. Queen commented on their band page, on how much they loved it. After the show was over Queen gave her the copyrights to her version, allowing her to record and sell the track. Queen has never done anything like that for anyone else to this day. So many reactors have done this performance but you'll probably need to put a filter on the video and stop it 3 or 4 times for commentary so they don't block it, BUT it's worth it, trust me!

I was thinking also the same thing, that this is not Angelina’s father. The only facts I am aware of about her father is that he is from Sweden. With all the gimmicks that are used in what is known as music today it is so refreshing to come across a being that does not need auto tune, lightshows, dancers, outrageous costumes, bands, or orchestras to cover their weaknesses because she has none. AJ can perform a Capella, or with one or two instruments to follow her lead and give you chills with each performance. I have always enjoyed all genres of music, and being 75, I have experienced the best the industry has to offer, from the early 50s, to 2023, but I have never been moved emotionally in the past anywhere close to what Angelina Jordan does from 7 to 17. When I heard Celine Dion perform in a tint in Québec when she was a child, I predicted she would be the next world superstar, and the rest is history. Celine did not sign a record contract until she was in her early 20s. David Foster, who made Celine a star flew to Norway after Angelina wone NGT and tried to sign her, but her family wanted to stay in control of her future. Angelina, at 13, appeared on AGT and getting worldwide recognition signed with the largest record company in the world at age 14, Republic Records. The story is that Monty Lipman, the CEO, and known as the Star Maker, personally signed her even without meeting AJ, he was shown a video of her performance. Angelina Jordan will be the next Super Nova very soon. As for being her biggest fan, e pluribus u-num.

Enjoyed your reaction! Highly encourage you guys to dive in to Angelina's catalog of work. It is large (over 190 songs). She is absolutely fearless when choosing artists to cover ie Whitney, Freddie, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Adele, Rhianna, Louie Armstrong, just to name a few. Her performances on Norway's Got Talent usually don;t have a prob with copyright, her AGT ones you will prob have to filter and pause a few times. Hope to see more Angelina with you guys!

Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Ones a child and Whitney was a very experienced woman, working from the best studio available. For Angelina this was a rehearsal. comparison is irrelevant.
Check out “Stay” at 12 years old. Also “Born to Die” (same age) or Fast forward to today at 17 doing “Love don’t let me go” an original.
AJ's family is not musically inclined. Her father stays out of the limelight but her Grandmother, herself a child prodigy in painting and poetry, is her mentor.

Dolly Parton (country singer/songwriter) wrote and sang this song long before Whitney 😊 you should listen to her version as well. Angelina is amazing and this is good but not my favorite rendition.
