what I can recommend as a person that does this all the time. I used to use the same technique to make my girlfriend creamiest cold brew milk for coffees ever. But what I found out is that I can just take a normal milk container where there’s only a third of milk left in the container and shake the absolute crap out of it for about a minute and I have an even better consistency. Maybe try that as a hack. I’ve been doing it for years now with my girlfriend asked me for an ice coffee. It makes the milk even creamier and poofy.
I accidentally discovered this when cleaning my French press. I pumped it with soapy water and the soap got this silky smooth texture, I thought the same might work with milk. Turns out it does! It also ruins your French press over time but it definitely works!
How my venezuelan mom taught me to get thick and rich hot chocolate: Try heating up dark chocolate bars with milk in the stove, add a half cup water and cornstarch mix to it while stirring the whole time
i bought a little frother at homegoods for $6.99. french press was $9.99 at TJ Maxx. don’t waste your money on an expensive one. they do the same work and i love it
Ooooh I learned how to do this when my little electric milk frother broke. I now have a French press as backup and a fancy milk frother with temperature settings.
Ooo an updated version of the French press hack from you. FYI I went all the way to my neighbourhood ikea just to get a French press after your first video, thanks Ethan! Gonna try out the cold foam soon
I bought a Lavazza milk frother machine for less than thirty pounds (I m in the UK) a few years ago. It’s great and also makes brilliant hot chocolate drinks, I have also frothed milk in Nutri-Bullet and it’s fine.
Cleaning a French Press is such a pain compared to cleaning a frother. But definitely good info for people who have a French Press and want to try making things with frothed milk without getting new gear.
Well, the thing is, I was told to go carefully and slowly when pushing down the top in a french press because you could break it. So, maybe this isn't the best idea.
French press is universal tool. It can brew coffee and tea, and frothing milk with needed count of foam. Need 20% foam - no problem. 120%? You're welcome. W/o cap, only with forcer, it will be very smooth, ideal for latte art
It will do just fine, but doing this still won't give you the desired texture or sweetness because to get café styled milk it needs to be steamed which creates smaller micro bubbles due to the proteins being brought up to the top, while simply heating it or frothing it breaks up the proteins and makes larger bubbles without the added sweetness.
i did this once and fuckin plunger managed to unscrew itself inside the press. good idea but theyre like literally not made to move that fast/often. the mesh creates a seal against the inside wall of a french press and like def doesnt want to do that
Thats not an espresso machine lol. It just spins the coffee around. But, i also love using whipped milk. I mix it with half creamer and half whole milk and mix with my french press coffee.
Yeah, french press takes way too much time and effort. Use a shaker (shakey-shakey) like a normal person or simply use a tall ceremic cup and a spoon. Add milk to 1/2 size, tilt the cup at 45 degrees and go ham stirring it. Use a spion, not a fork. Much faster roo
Dude has thousands of dollars worth of coffee brewing machines and buys premade cold brew in a can. Am I the only one finding the humor in this? I do appreciate the content though. I may make fun of you but please carry on.
Microwaves and french presses don't mix, this is coffee blasphemy. The whole point of the French press is to get the most natural form out of your coffee and you disrespect the entire hobby by microwaving milk, just wow
Stay in school and please please please stop using coke we all know who you are, stop always trying to circumvent simplicity, old ways are usually the best way cause its been proven and use for hundreds or thousands of years
After 35 micro pumps I passed out and was done for the day
Ayoo 💀💀😈🤫
No, you weren't supposed to pump your little friend Willy!
Did you save your frothy gravy? 🤔😏
@@eduardkalmanawardzeLOL omg
😅
Around here, a french press is more expensive than a frother.
Its a multi task though compared to a frother. You use it to make hot coffee, cold brew, tea,and frothing.
False
same here, 20 bucks more expensive kinda crazy^^
Yeah but frothers are very fragile
yeah but you also use the french press to make coffee. you cant use a frother to make coffee

how do you do it with a full carton of milk?
You might just make butter
Sus
your girlfriend is a lucky lady!
You don't, but if u have a jar or any leak proof container try using that.
I accidentally discovered this when cleaning my French press. I pumped it with soapy water and the soap got this silky smooth texture, I thought the same might work with milk. Turns out it does! It also ruins your French press over time but it definitely works!
Gonna buy a cheaper french press just for milk
How does the press get ruined from this? D:
@@nemkoo Calcium buildup and scratches the glass or even break it. So yeah, don't buy expensive french press.
@@GodMaxDrinkerofTeaat that point just buy a frother
So if I do it in a Yeti it won’t break got it😊
Truly a seamless loop

“I passed out two times, but here’s your hot chocolate!”
Bro says the frother is expensive while I can just buy it for couple euros 💀
Maybe he meant a good one
I am so glad you did this because this will make my morning coffee in the summer wayyy better
Great idea!! 💯 nicely done
How my venezuelan mom taught me to get thick and rich hot chocolate: Try heating up dark chocolate bars with milk in the stove, add a half cup water and cornstarch mix to it while stirring the whole time
Thanks for this. Looking forward to my afternoon coffee now 😁☺️
THIS IS GENIUS. thank you for this tip. I'm so excited
Thank you very much for that hack😮😊
Looks fabulous 🤩
i bought a little frother at homegoods for $6.99. french press was $9.99 at TJ Maxx. don’t waste your money on an expensive one. they do the same work and i love it
This was the main reason why I got my french press xd. Basically 2 in 1
Got the most beautiful texture of milk without spending an eternity using the hand frother. Thank you so much for this hack.
You can also make some nice milk foam to put on top of coffee, sprinkle some cacao powder on it and its amazing
Interesting, thanks for sharing!
Try to unscrew the cap. You can pump til the bottom which can make better microform and you'll be able to latte art as well
Ooooh I learned how to do this when my little electric milk frother broke. I now have a French press as backup and a fancy milk frother with temperature settings.
I started doing this when I saw someone use a manual milk frother which literally have the same pumping structure as the frenchpresh
Its somewhat close but not as smooth and thick as with a steam wand or electric frother, but works in a pinch
Wow, killed the strainer mesh, really 👍
Ooo an updated version of the French press hack from you. FYI I went all the way to my neighbourhood ikea just to get a French press after your first video, thanks Ethan! Gonna try out the cold foam soon

You had me at cold foam.
this popped up in my feed at the right timing. i'm just considering to buy a French press lol

Not me having every gadget he used and my coffee still tastes bad💀🆘
This is very nice
Cool thanks man! ☕️☕️☕️
Omg so much work
I want those cups!! Where are they from please?? :)
Well, the thing is, I was told to go carefully and slowly when pushing down the top in a french press because you could break it. So, maybe this isn't the best idea.
Love it. By the way, what's your fav Nespresso capsules?
Can you pleeeeeeease show some more ways of using a French press
How different is it from steam frothing? Adding water molecules surely must change something
Hi! What size is your French Press?
Does it work with milk substitutes? Asking for a friend

That actually looks a bit sus 🤨
Which cold brew can you use?
My family has on of those and I always thought it was for tea 😅
😂 (not wanting to hate btw)
What is the purpose of french press? Ive had one but i didn't know what to use it for

I put it in my blender cup and shake it for a little. Far from perfect but it works🤷♂️
i did this once and fuckin plunger managed to unscrew itself inside the press. good idea but theyre like literally not made to move that fast/often. the mesh creates a seal against the inside wall of a french press and like def doesnt want to do that
Does it work with non dairy milks?! Please o need to know before running to get a French press!
can tou heat the milk on the stove i don’t have a microwave
Can you try one of those turkish/Syrian coffee making pots called "Kanaka" or something¿? 😅
my stomach cannot take this
People go through so much for there addiction’s.
yo where is the cup from
I thought he said french breast. 😭😭😭
Nice loop
I miss the part where the foam was used for latte art 😅
Thats not an espresso machine lol. It just spins the coffee around. But, i also love using whipped milk. I mix it with half creamer and half whole milk and mix with my french press coffee.

Dude, just use the frother. Using the same thing you can aerate your instant coffee, and add the frothy milk.
If you have sn actual espresso maker you have a steam wand ...
France mentioned rahhhh 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🍷🍾🍾☢☢⚜⚜⚜🇫🇷🇫🇷🍷🍷
Yeah but I got that frother for free by buying Espresso pods (I absolutely love it but I would never pay that price)
You’ve soo much time, time is important.
bye bye socks, hello French press
i knew this thing like forever, yet, didn't bother to make a vid... hahaha 🤣
I just use my Keurig’s frother
can you make good coffee with just a normal coffee maker
Cant you just put some milk into a container or jar and shake it to incorporate air?
The downside is that you have to throw away that thing after since there is no way you can clean that thing from the milk.
you can take it apart you know
lol that's just how we all did it before the electronic ones got to the markets. nothing new
who thinks in the other way of making the creamiest ...... hmm lol
this entire video hurt me. let’s not talk about the nespresso
Where is your dog Ethan! I what to see it! What is its name?
69 seconds.
Bruh you should heat that milk up on the stove, it'll taste way better.
You have a French Press and didn't make your own cold brew?!?
Dang, I just grab the milk jug and shake the crap out of it till it gets frothy.
I tried making latte art using this technique and it doesn't work, at least for me. 😔
But... I already have the hand mixer...
Only lasted the five macro pumps :(
The creamiest hot chocolate is the Spanish hot chocolate
Nanofoamer is what you actually want.
I just use a Mason jar and a mixing ball
bruh, I have only 1L metal double-wall frenchpress... If I would want to do that, it would be extremely loud xD
Better get a small swril machine for 2 3 dollar
A frother is litteraly 10$
On top of an Irish coffee....
Am shacking the bottle of milk but I will try your way
The milk in 9 months: 🤰
Make latte? Latte is milk. You don't need to make it.
35 Micro Pumps …
Pain in the butt to clean
Didn’t you say in another video you hate marshmallows in hot chocolate and they are for s’mores 🤔
Dude has thousands of dollars worth of coffee brewing machines and buys premade cold brew in a can. Am I the only one finding the humor in this?
I do appreciate the content though. I may make fun of you but please carry on.
FROTH
Ah, the crappy version of a Pyrex dish! Careful with that.
You lost me at microwave
