I was deciding between the t rex and motortek crash guards. this video was the deciding factor. for some reason I can't find anyone trusting their bike on the t rex guards in a crash test like this.
I just got mine a week ago. Haven't installed them yet. I like to see manufacturers show product testing like this. These look like they work. I don't expect these to protect my bike if if falls off a cliff. Additionally weight matters on a small bike like this. More protection comes at a cost.
They would have to stick out another 6 inches to stop the levers from hitting. No one makes a crash bar that does that. Thats why you get wrap around handguards
I posted the video in the CRF300L/Rally Owners Group FB group, but some riders who have mounted these bars report that they bent easily after lighter impacts than those in the video. Possible...????🤔
Depends on what the definition of bending “easily” or “light impact” is. Some people expect top performance from crash bars no matter the conditions. Most people understand that crash bars are there to prevent or reduce damage to the bike.
is there maybe some idea for the fender ? 🤔 i know there is not much space but maybe put in a kind of spacerblock to move the fender just an half cm to the front 🤔
So now where is your indestructible brake and clutch lever! Long time ago I bought a plastic clutch lever. Worked great on my 175 Kawasaki! What happened to those? P.S. Got my bars, install soon. Seems they are about 10 pounds. However look to be good protection. I don't see anyone else testing their crash bars like this! Looked at T Rex racing, but these seem like better protection....
Thanks for your comment. Fender sliders don't offer any coverage and may be useful only on perfectly smooth pavement. In the "ADV" world lots of riders use crash bars to mount pouches and/or fog lights on them too. Also, crash bars can help prevent damage to radiators. However, crash bars do add some extra weight and are a pricier option vs. sliders. Pros and cons.

Thank you!
Awesome! I like how yours cover the plastics vs the ones I just installed.
How do they perform protecting the exhaust without any luggage cages? Thanks

Thank you!
Now this is what I call a real test! 👍🏻
Exactly what I need having just repaired serious damage to my radiator on my 300L. Money well spent!
It doesn't look like they protect brake or shift lever at all.

Hello.
I want an unit from the Spain Seller (twintrail) but it is out of stock always !!!!
Thanks

Yeah, space behind the fender has been challenging to deal with, but the cross braces must be there in order to allow the crash bars to perform.
@@Outbackmotortek yeah it is not a real issue most important the crashbars are working 😁👍
@@rulfryder17290 indeed!
Thanks for this real life test! Will the crash bars also protect the rear brake and gear shift levers?
@@J2Wlz crash bars generally offer protection for plastic panels and radiators
@@Outbackmotortek thanks. On the video it looked like the levers barely touched the ground which is good.

Fender sliders are more discreet / less bulky and probably cheaper, still this product obviously works
