Pantheism and panentheism are both pretty cool concepts-and I feel very close to what science has to offer. Though they're not without some certain flaws.
Panentheism is the product of direct experience. It’s not taler made. All it says is that the Creator and the created world are two separate things. But that the created world mirrors or represents aspects of the divine.
In the Orthodox Church we say that God is everywhere and fills all things. But He is not a chair. Get it straight guys. This idea is classically Christian. It also says there is a transcendent aspect of God as reported by saints ie the book of Isaiah.
For anyone interested in Panentheism I can highly recommend a video here on RUclips entitled "The Unity of Being (Wahdat al-Wujud)" about a Sufi cosmological concept which is somewhat inspired by the ideas of Neoplatonism. In it the Universe is described as a reflection of God. I can highly recommend it to everyone who finds these ideas interesting.
Panentheism is a conclusion reached after realizing that only one everything has ever existed, & will ever exist. It is the alpha & omega, it is Omni & without boundaries. There is no 'outside of it' to give it form; and if consciousness is fundamental rather than emergent, it's definitely aware.
Even if it is emergent, the chances that consciousness doesn't at least periodically emerge from the interconnected non-local complexity of the 1 everything is probably pretty slim or non-existent, though it would definitely be much different than our own; and greater than the sum of its parts.
Imo, much of it depends on the actual nature of time... but stepping outside to observe it is just paradox.

Wow, that is some vague pronoun gibberish! Sounds like he was practicing conjugating the verb "to be". "Tat tvam asi" was said 600 years earlier and is much more to the point!

The world is in God and simultaneously out of God. You may compare the world to a painting, which sprouts from the inner creative energy of the painter but it's not the painter.
I see the world, glorious and triumphant, balanced and strong. A canvas covered again and again, images have been masterfully depicted to be covered by another. Every stroke line left by the smallest bristle and by the combinations of hue and tone, are all of the oil, the essence of life.
I dare not judge the masterpiece, I am here within interpretation, it is not impressionism and I am sure to be covered over.
But the art, the art takes on a life of its own and the canvas moves, I with it. Dare I love, dare I hate, if within me was substance to see the world as it sees itself, could I hold up one and never regard the other? But what of the life? The oil it mingles, the bleeding into what is beneath and the mixing of colors at the fringes, are they not beauty? What of the shadows that give us the depth to ascertain the heights, are they darkness, or are they the pillars that hold up the mountains? Look into the deep, the depths into which we could descend amid great pressure, do I find the love there or is hate in that abyss? Where has the fear and loathing been painted, in what medium and by what measure has it been portrayed? Is there hope there with it?
I could not know how to separate the oil from the oil, let it be. I could not interpret what the artwork is, it is not complete. I love this world, the beauty it portrays. I hate this world, the ignorance of not knowing.
I am lost here in the oil, me, I am fading away. Yet my essence rises and my interpretation, I regard the artist. Look at the beauty here in and intepret the pardise that is our backdrop, how our impression has rendered the artwork obsolete, what we think we are, we become.
While you fear the stroke and being covered, does the oil depict your doubt? When you have been painted in glory, is it the oil that has established your grandeur? What of the brush, does it administer admonition or avarice? Does the brush direct the oil into its destiny? How have I been captured here? Who has painted my character, in what was it contained?
I observe. Reverence, I must be the painting. Redemption, I must be the painter. Reward, I must do so with justice.
Ressurection for all that is covered.
I ask for so little, fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave.
I will start again. Oh the glory.
All is sustained by the will of God therefor we all reside within the mind of God and reality is nothing more than a figment of Gods imagination!
Bhagavat Gita points to panentheism very directly and clearly.
I think you should also explore the pilosophy of Advaita Vedanta which is the Hindu philosophy of non duality ... talk to swami sarvapriyananda or rupert spira
This world is less than nothing in the point of view of God: see how large the universe is. I have the same point of view: this world is just a tiny detail, it has nothing to do with God.
Even this planet could care less if we are here or not. And has spent a lot of its time trying to kill off life.

God is not A conscious being. God is the ONLY conscious being. We all experience lower form of consciousness called EGO.
Not quite. God is more conscious than you can know. God is doing everything. But, you are His creation and you have a self with free will, which is an individual. Your conscious being is a that is not God. Created by God with free will. Separate from God. God supplies you with your thoughts and emotions and your experiences based on your initial decision of choosing Him as your God or not. If you disbelieve in Him, that's up to you. He will then give you a life that reflects such a decision, complete with disbelieving thoughts and actions. Our life will provide the record that shows the character of who we are. God performs it, based on our decision. God already knows. He is giving you this life so you will see why you deserve what you get. God knows the thoughts of everything and everyone, but, we are individuals with responsibilities and consequences.
In fact, the misery in this world is real. And it is a result of being distant from God. We are outside God's domain right now. Misery is a consequence. We must worship Him alone, in order to gain protection and get back into His domain. We are the rebels who got cast out of heaven. This is our last chance to get back. This is the Quranic world view God willing. Peace.

@@cvsree An accurate pantheistic thought perhaps, but not substantiated by scripture from God Almighty that is proven. We now have a scripture from God that is proven by mathematics to be beyond human ability. It is incredible. We have had a new messenger of God, the first since Jesus and Muhammad. He translated the Quran into English for us and the explanations are stunning. It turns out that the Muslims do not follow the Quran so it's explanation of our purpose and place with God has been hidden until now. We now know the point to life with the most accurate clarity. I doubt the transcendent. But I am certain the realities of the universe yet to be understood may remain so. We have limited sensory perceptions and our technology is not that advanced, yet. Miracles are superstitious baloney. Miracles are legends and myths.

The purest and most *"natural"* way of viewing the concept of Panentheism is to think of the universe as not only being God's personal mind, but also is God's literal *"womb"* in which our own minds are momentarily enveloped (like fetuses within the living viscera of a parent entity). In other words, just as our mother's womb, and indeed our very bodies, were created out of the living fabric of our mother's very being, yet there was a higher dimension to her being that presented itself in a context of reality that is above and outside of her womb, likewise, the same applies to God.
Indeed, how much more natural can the truth of reality be than in the idea that God is literally *"pregnant"* with us, and that our physical body is nothing more than the metaphorical equivalent of "placental-like" tissue that will be discarded upon death?

Again, this is all anecdotal and based on my own personal epiphanies, however, in my opinion, what makes it more plausible than other theories is, again, how *"natural"* it is. It alludes to that old Hermetic axiom "As above, so below." Or more aptly, in this situation, "As below, so above." And that's because it suggests that in the same way that corporeal beings replicate themselves by conceiving their own offspring "within" themselves, likewise, so does God replicate his being and agency (his "I Am-ness") in a similar fashion - by conceiving his own offspring (the human mind) "within" the inner dimension of his own mind (within the confines of his fully-matured "spirit body," so to speak).
And thus, at the moment of death, we (our minds/souls/consciousnesses) will literally be "born-out" of God's mind and delivered into the higher (transcendent) context of reality in which ours and God's true and eternal forms will finally be revealed to us. And that would be metaphorically similar to when we were delivered out of the darkness of our mother's womb and could then see her actual (outer form) in the light of earthly consciousness on the other side of her abdominal wall.

God would prefer to be gone but is stuck on this flypaper universe with its crazy oscillations. Only by exhausting all possibilities - and splitting into many fragments to do that, how clever - will freedom be achieved. Whew!
God is all that exist? Yeah, we are organisms inside God, but, ancients knews a technical way to connect and expand the being until the person ( shaman guru Buddha spiritual people, Jeshua ) feels be one with. Unity concept...and that's when consciousness concept come in, by the interaction between the individual and the electromagnetic field, all that's needed

Simple.
The Pantheist says, God is the universe.
The Panentheist says, the universe exists in God, but has an existence beyond it.
That´s the difference.
We carry around (right within our own skulls) a representation of Panentheism. The eye of our mind, or our central consciousness (our "I am-ness"), exists above and outside of the fabric of our thoughts and dreams, yet it subsumes and controls that fabric in precisely the same way that God's "I am-ness" subsumes and controls the fabric of the universe.

Not if the real "main goal" is for that intelligent life to be born into a higher context of consciousness and reality. In which case, gamma ray bursts, or errant asteroids, or earthquakes, or hurricanes, or diseases, or cancers, or wars, etc., etc., are simply a few of the multifarious ways by which "God's water," so to speak, is broken. In other words, stop assuming that the universe (God's cosmic womb) is anything other than the physiological means by which God replicates himself by conceiving his own personal offspring *"within"* himself. ("As below, so above")

People fall away from Christianity because they never had evidence for God in their lives. It is as simple as that. If you think that people who carry around God in their heart believe because of a book, then it makes sense that you would think Christianity would be destroyed because of another book. The word of God is alive and the books aren't alive. We believe because of a different type of evidence that, possibly, lays beyond your ability to conceive.
Yes, the world is in GOD but GOD is more than the world. But it really doesn't matter because GOD still remains GOD. GOD is more than anything & we need GOD for everything, even for our unlimited questions.

Do panentheists need a concious personal God? depending what you mean by a panentheist their God would appear to be completely different from the God of the theists much more esoteric.for example what does the One of Plotinus have in common with the God of the Old Testament.... nothing.The One is a totally transcendent thing,or rather No Thing,the other is a rather firery bad tempered souped up male human.
They are the same, except for that Plotinus followed Plato's mistake in not knowing God could be personalized in the form of Jesus. Augustine explained this in his writings. Plotinus and other neo-platonists had the correct frame work but suffered from holding a few heretical thoughts. Which is why they were eventually condemned as heretics and so had to be wiped out.

The answer is NO. The Quran, clearly states that the universe will implode when God comes. He is outside this universe. In fact, this explains all the suffering in this world. This is a place outside of God's kingdom. We are suppose to be trying to earn our way back into God's kingdom. Moses wanted to see God but God told him it's not possible for humans. So God revealed Himself to a nearby mountain, and it crumbled. This proves that this universe cannot withstand God's presence. Peace.
