Not gonna lie. Im still a little bit sick and this one hit me hard so I get a bit heated but even still i loved it! I hope you enjoyed and let me know what you want to see next!
A less popular request but given what you said at the end of this video, I’d thoroughly recommend listening to sabatons ‘diary of an unknown soldier’ and ‘the lost battalion’ back to back. They actually used the sounds of pistols, rifles, machine guns and I think some explosives to create the music along with instruments. They’re truly underrated imho. Side note only recently started watching you but am thoroughly enjoying your content. Keep it up mate.
I'm gonna have to say, the part where Joakim says "Six miles of ground has been won, half a million men are gone" and when he says "There's no price of a mile" hit the hardest
To this day, Passchendaele is considered one of the biggest military disasters in history. Over 600,000 died; many of which killed not in combat, but by drowning in mud made from the heavy rainfall and wrecked underground pipes. Regarding war, I share in the heartbreak of loss of life, but if I were to describe war, I'd say "unfortunate, but necessary." Countless evils have risen throughout history again and again, and the only thing that stopped them from consuming the world was when people fought back. Imagine if WWII never happened; that people like Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini and Hirohito were just completely unopposed when trying to conquer the world.
And the most tragic about Passchendaele is, that it was completly useless, they won 6 miles, which they lost to the next counterattack again... there are battles meaning something and there are battles who were just point- and useless
And they made it themselves - hit the ground with artillery for a week, so when the troops entered the no man's land there was nothing left holding soil together, every brick and root was torn to shreds.
This is one of their best songs, so thank you for reacting to this. The sadness and despair in Joakims voice hits me every time. To think that there are people that thinks that Sabaton glorifies war!!! Passiondale was one of the most horrific battles ever seen and every beat and the lyrics really portrays that. Total of 6 miles to the cost of half a million men...
The Album Art of War is probably one of Sabaton's heaviest albums. Second place actually, I would put Attero Dominatus on top. Mainly because it has songs like Rise of Evil and In The Name of God (which you should totally check you btw)
@@JoJoLewis For Rise of Evil I can recommend the fan made video, since there isn't a official music video/lyric video. It also really sets the mood for the song.
The quote in the beginning is from the book The Art of War by Sun Tzu. The song tells the story of Paschendale in the trenches of WW1. War is a horrible part of life... but it is part of life. More often than not it's the politicians who want war--- not the ordinary people who go to fight them.
Deff will have to do 'Cliffs of Gallipoli' soon now. should do Sabaton History on this song too. Aslo there is a decent movie about the topic of this song (2008) "Passchendaele"which focuses on the experiences of a Canadian forces for that battle. keep up the great work
@@pavelslama5543 "Six miles of ground has been won Half a million men are gone" 6 miles = 9656 m. 9656 m/ 500000 lives = 0.019 m (~2cm) per one life. What exactly did I say wrong in my previous comment?
Love the reaction my man. If you are in the mindset for another heavy hitting song in the same vein as this one, definitely do Cliffs of Gallipoli. Two of my favorite sabaton songs because of how well they get the reality of war across
Although Ilistened this song tens of times maybe over 100 times,I have shivers every time I listen it,this time included. And always make me think on the batlle that happend in my hometown in WW1 literally one year before the battle in the song.Same situation, just a village on a hill.Over 100 years after, scars didn't healed, shell craters are everywhere around the town. And in the 3 war cemeteries we have in town are burried both romanian and germans reminding to the future generations that all we are humans and nobody wanted to be there in that situation.
If you want another heart hitting Sabaton song, listen to the live version of En livstid I Krig and turn the English subtitles on. There is an English version of the song, Lifetime of War, but the lyrics are far different. Could do them back to back in a video though if you wanted.
I'd like to add to that Sabaton not only objectively (as possible I'd say) sing about "macro" events of each side in war and showing consequences like here. They also tell you about groups of people in their situations and struggles, again no matter the side: There is for example "Uprising", about underground resistance against all odds, but there is also "Wehrmacht" in which they try to understand the mindset of soldiers in the Wehrmacht back then. Also also, they show great deeds of humanity and selflessness from individuals in war, "No Bullets Fly", "Inmate 4859" and "The Ballad of the Bull" come to mind, as well as struggles of people who try to deal with the aftermath of what they experienced in war, "To Hell and Back" and "Seven Pillars of Wisdom" are good examples. To me, keeping these stories, these examples of goodness so to say alive, is not the same as glorifying war. ...good reaction, too. I really liked the part about musical storytelling! Oh an btw, the songs I mentioned here that you haven't checked out already, I can definitely recommend :)
I'm a little late here but this song is about the Battle of Passchendaele, it was a major compaign in World War 1 between 31st of July and the 6th of November 1917. This campaign was to take a vital railroad junction from The German Empire, it was an absolute failure for The Allies (even though they did take it in November) costing more than 500,000 lives for more or less 6 miles worth of land.
One fun thing with Sabatons sound is that they use riff and melodies from famous Swedish songs that all Swedish citizens know and many outside Sweden to on the album heroes they use parts from the film done of the children book called Emil written by Astrid Lindgren. They also sing the Swedish National Song on Sweden Rock Festival some years ago, you can find that on RUclips to
If you think that was upsetting, you should see the Sabaton History video on it. Passchendaele was just such a spectacularly pointless meat grinder. Over half a million casualties in some of the worst conditions imaginable, even by the standards of World War I, all to move the front line about six miles. To put that in perspective, for every one man killed or wounded, the line moved a little over 0.72 inches on average (at least based on the numbers I used). It was insane.
As a Canadian this song always hits me in the emotions. Seeing as you are Australian i highly recommend that you react to "Cliffs of Gallipoli." Since thats significantly about Australians in WW1. Be warned though. It will hit you in the emotions hard.
This song is about an actual event where they fought for months and hundreds of thousands soldiers died. All they achieved was one mile. Just one single mile and a house. For what? Hundreds of thousands men died for one single house and a mile that they lost the day after. All because the generals and politicians refused to stand down. So was the mile worth it?
Taking the question literally, it costs millions in munitions, millions to rebuild the wrecked area, millions in missed taxes due to the 80,000 lives it took to take a mile.. But honestly, the money doesn't matter, it's the amount of people that's staggering. Surely you know a town/city/neighborhood within which 80,000 people live? Imagine you'd have to sacrifice that entire place for 1 mile gained? It's just so much death for so little gain. And what did they gain? 6 miles of razed terrain on which no house stands and no crops can grow? Great..
Just ran across this. Sabaton popped up on my RUclips about a month ago, Being a Veteran, I was amazed at the story these guys tell. What an awesome way to make music by getting a History lessen. Don't forget to watch their Sabaton History . It explains the songs.
2:09 If you want to watch something that hits you in the heart like a fucking cargo train go watch Sabaton's The Christmas Truce about the 1914 event of the same name.
Im saving that for a day i am at full health. Being an Aussie I know its gonna hit hard so I wonna make sure I am not dying already when I hear it hahaha
indeed everyone suffers in war, even to this day. as shells that didn't explode still litter the fields and seas of western europe. even on christmas eve just a few days back some one found a shell on the beaches of a Belgian city called Blankenberge just out in plain sight. the man quickly called it in to the police and they called the bomb defusing unit of the army. who couldn't immediately come so the site was secured until they could. this song is also about a battle fought on Flemish soil near Ypers.
“And as the men crawled/the general called/ and the killing carried on, and on” that’s my favorite line from the song, showing how no matter how much death was happening, the leaders kept pushing their men on, leading to even more senseless death.
Another great reaction Mr Lewis. "Six miles of ground has been won. Half a million men are gone." Sabaton has always so impactful lyrics that makes the eye watery even if you have heard the song a 811 times (I think I listenedto this song that many times, ... at least). Looking forward to your next reaction. If you havent listened to it already maybe 'Cliffs of Galipoli' could be an option, it should be extra special for you as an aussie.
@@JoJoLewis Ah, sorry noticed at lot of other people also suggested it already so I probably sounded like a parrot with my suggestion.. Makes total sense to wait if you are not feeling 100% Hope you feel better soon.
Hey man, good to see you well enough to do another reaction - a hard-hitting Sabaton one at that. My recommendation for a reaction in the future would have to be 'Cliffs of Gallipoli' by Sabaton - it only started as a curio for me, as it was something that I learned about in school. Now, it's solid favourite of mine.
@@JoJoLewis if anything, their take on Gallipoli is more wholesome, while still being a heartbreaking one at the same time. They take the pov of a speech attributed to Mustafa Kemal Attaturk, at the time commander of the Ottoman force at Gallipoli, where he too regarded the battle as pointless and accepted the ANZAC soldiers as "their own sons" and somewhat console the mothers who just lost their children in that futile battle
You just gained a new subscriber! Sabaton is one of the greatest. They don't just make songs. They tell stories of individuals and their suffering, heroism, brotherhood, misery, hopelessness and everything in between. They were stuck in a horrible game called war. And as you said, they don't care about sides.
the story behind this one is indeed too deep and emotional...also sad but true i hope you been watching the sabaton history channel they tell the stories behind these songs sometimes even several parts for each song
I only discovered your channel today, and I must say I am enjoying it so far! There are plenty of Sabaton songs that I think you would enjoy after you reacted to the big ones: Uprising (the Warsaw ghetto uprising in 1944) A Ghost in the Trenches (the story of Francis Pegamagabow, the highest decorated First Nations soldier in WW1) Counterstrike (the Six day War of 1967) The Last Battle (possibly the strangest battle of WW2 - German troops, together with American forces and French POWs fighting against Nazi forces in an Austrian castle) Inmate 4859 (the story of a Polish man who willingly went to Auschwitz to collect data, broke out of Auschwitz, and provided his collected data to the Allies. He met a tragic end unfortunately) Blood of Bannockburn (Robert the Bruce's victory over an English force that far outnumbered his own Scottish forces. Banger of a song with actual bagpipes!)
I have truly enjoyed your journey through Nightwish, Epica, and Sabaton. You seem to understand all 3 of them. Don't remember if you've reached one of the other symphonic metal titans Within Temptation. Happy New Year from Florida !
Another great song about Passendale is Iron Maidens song titled Passendale. Saying that. Many of Iron Maidens are fantastic, especially Empire of the Clouds, Blood Brothers, Fear of the Dark, Clansman. Other for Sabaton is things like Wolfpack, 40:1 etc.
New to the channel, but i agree with what you said; Sabaton do not glorify war. They are CHRONICLERS of history and music is just their medium for talking and teaching history. You hit it on the head. Well done Sir. And as a veteran myself, i can confirm there is no glory in war, but there IS honor in wearing a uniform and serve so others don't have to. Making that sacrifice so it does not fall on your own loved ones, there is honor in that. Sadly, its just a very thin margin between the two.
As always, great reaction, my man!) regarding this Sabaton song, it is one of my absolute favorites on The Art Of War album ( take into consideration, that The Art Of War is one of my favorite albums in Sabaton's whole discography) and musicianship are over the top in Sabaton))) And over the years (I discover Sabaton in 2016) I developed a pretty bizarre way of listening to Sabaton's music: I always prefer listening to albums from the latter part of discography, from The Art Of War (2008) till The Great War (2019) and then such albums as Fist For Fight (2001) which is a compilation of two demos that Sabaton made in 1999 and 2000, Primo Victoria (2005) which was the Sabaton's first war-themed album and Attero Dominatus (2006). I often exclude their album Metalizer (2007) from this list because it is just a rework of some songs from their 2001 album with only two new songs 7734 and Thundergods (my only favorite songs from the Metalizer album) and one cover - Jawbreaker (JudasPriest cover). My next suggestion will be Japanese metalcore band Crossfaith with their songs Monolith, Omen, Countdown To Hell, or Jagerbomb) Believe me, you love this band straight away)) Their energy is mindblowing))
What i love about sabaton is they are not trying to glorify things (even though people think that) As you said mate. It's more about paying respects to the people that lost their lives and the things they had to do. I think there is always a divide/misunderstanding with a lot people, war is shit but it doesn't mean it can't bring out the best in people, or show people were people on both sides.
Love the reaction man! Still waiting for that Gallipoli reaction though. Keep on keeping on. Edit: also; how the hell would anyone say that Sabaton glorifies war after listening to this? Or, for that matter, Great War, En Livstid I Krieg, Cliffs of Gallipoli, or half the rest of their discography?! They do a great job of honoring the legends on both sides that deserve honor. Glorify the great men that did good for their land and their people. But the damn well condemn the wars themselves for the pointless bullshit they were.
And they say it in the video from Bismarck at the "war knows no nation this song is dedicated to all those who lost their lives in the battle of the Atlantic" they don't pick sides because at the end of the day they both made great losses not a single soldier wanted to be there on the battlefields
For me the Price of a Mile us one of my favorites because it reminds us about the HORROR of war. If you got anytime and don't mind feeling upset you should see their history video about this song and the Battle of Passandale
My great grandfather fought at Paschendale in the British Army and survived it. Another song to get a feel for this battle is Iron Maiden - Paschendale
This is the First World War, in The Third Battle of Ypres, the Battle at Passchendaele that they mention in the song, the Price of a Mile was 848000 lives, British/French and German.
@@JoJoLewis Well, a guy called Gavrilo just had to shoot a man and his wife in Sarajevo in 1914. Passchendaele is bad, but the worst of it was the Battle of Somme. 1 Million Sixtytfive Thousand Men died there, in a battle, history within 10 years of it having happened deemed valueless. That's over the entire nine months that is 4500 men a day dying, by being shot, by get caught on the razorwire, blown by artillery to vapor, gassed, drowned in mud, and more. We've seen two of these bloody things, this is why 90% of Europe doesn't want anymore war.
I'm a Kiwi, my Grandfather joined up in 1914 at the of 16, along with 2 older brothers, an uncle and cousin, they were sent to Gallipoli as part of the ANZACS, of the 5 , my Grandfather was the only one to survive the campaign, the following year he fought in France on the Somme, where New Zealand suffered as many casualties 3 weeks as they did in 8 months on Gallipoli, the next year he fought in of New Zealands attacks in the Passchendale campaign, including the disastrous attack of 12th October 1917, which still remains the darkest day in New Zealands history. 1918 my Grandfather's last brother was killed during the German Spring Offensive, so out of my Great Grandmother's 4 sons, my Grandfather was the only one to survive. My family also had a family member killed at Gallipoli on my father's side.
Glad to see someone really enjoying sabaton. Seems like you have done some of their more emotional songs. If you want a headbanger and somethign that sweeps you up on your feet, try: Ghost Division, Screamign Eagles, Resist and Bite, Sparta.
came back to this song now. watching almost all your sabaton reactions again. (thats how musch i like em) still no soldiers of 3 armies though.. nice that you came back with reactions though!!!
So right. Sabaton does not pick sides but for the soldiers. Always the victims, the ones who own glory by saceifice, unlike the 98% of civvies...who do NOTHING!!!!.
If this hit you then you couldn't watch the Canadian WWI documentary called "For King and Empire." It can be found on RUclips. As it follows Canadian soldiers through the Great War in PAINSTAKING details from first hand accounts of Canada's unsuspecting soldiers. The Price of a Mile to a Canadian such as myself hits really hard as Canadian soldiers where in the Ypres Salient from day 1 and was where a Majority of our 61,000 casualties would meet there end. It hits as hard as Sabaton's rendition of Canadian Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae's poem In Flanders Fields. As Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae the writer of "in Flanders Fields" died in 1918 and never made it back to Canadian soil.
Thing to remember about WW1 the equipment out paced the tactics used. Some how expecting to beat a enemy by throwing your men into the sights of a machine gun would change much. Not mention always being wet. Fighting off the rats feeding off the dead, and leaving with the lice. We as Americans have been privileged to not have modern war fought on our home soil.
Great reaction! Could tell you were really in to it. Still waiting on Epica - Essence of Silence (official live) btw, the song written by their drummer
So, here is the wiki article about this battle, you will... well, you won't enjoy it. :) About the "Roads and houses - all is gone" part, there is an aerial photo before and after the battle about the village of Passchendaele ("At the fields of Passchendaele" part). In short, this was the third battle of Ypres (in the second, they used poison gas for the first time in history), and it is infamous for it's battlefields covered in very thin, and very deep mud, where countless young soldiers drowned, and died in. That was mostly caused by the very long artillery fire, what teared the land, and destroyed the soil, like no ploughing could ever, and the weeks of gunning and mortaring caused so much dark clouds, it nearly constantly rained. So 1+1=2, it created so much mud, it was like a horror-swamp. Just check the pictures in the wiki: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Passchendaele
this song hits hard for any british person because nearly every family lost someone in ww1 passchendaele and the somme brings tears to any british person
I believe war is ugly but sometimes necessary. It should never be an option chosen lightly and should ABSOLUTELY be the last option when you have exhausted all other roads.
While on this subject of wars being a waste, and of Sabaton, AND of you being Aussie, im surprised this hasnt come up yet, so as a Kiwi i feel its an obligation for me to do so. Listen to Sabatons Cliffs of Gallipoli, very relevant to us down in our corner of the world.

2:09 If you want to watch something that hits you in the heart like a fucking cargo train go watch Sabaton's The Christmas Truce about the 1914 event of the same name.
Still waiting on the Cliffs of Galipoli reaction. such a heavy song about the aussies
Im saving that for a day i am at full health. Being an Aussie I know its gonna hit hard so I wonna make sure I am not dying already when I hear it hahaha
@@JoJoLewis haha alright cool, love what you are doing. keep up the good work
@@CryOutLoud89 thank you so much that means a lot!!!
indeed everyone suffers in war, even to this day. as shells that didn't explode still litter the fields and seas of western europe. even on christmas eve just a few days back some one found a shell on the beaches of a Belgian city called Blankenberge just out in plain sight. the man quickly called it in to the police and they called the bomb defusing unit of the army. who couldn't immediately come so the site was secured until they could. this song is also about a battle fought on Flemish soil near Ypers.
“And as the men crawled/the general called/ and the killing carried on, and on” that’s my favorite line from the song, showing how no matter how much death was happening, the leaders kept pushing their men on, leading to even more senseless death.
love your channel mate you should do rorkes drift next its got an awesome beat
I appreciate that fam! Ill absolutely check ur suggestion out!
Another great reaction Mr Lewis.
"Six miles of ground has been won.
Half a million men are gone."
Sabaton has always so impactful lyrics that makes the eye watery even if you have heard the song a 811 times (I think I listenedto this song that many times, ... at least). Looking forward to your next reaction. If you havent listened to it already maybe 'Cliffs of Galipoli' could be an option, it should be extra special for you as an aussie.
I am glad you enjoyed! Being Aussie, I know Cliffs of Gallipoli is going to hit hard so I am waiting till im at full health to hear that one!
@@JoJoLewis Ah, sorry noticed at lot of other people also suggested it already so I probably sounded like a parrot with my suggestion.. Makes total sense to wait if you are not feeling 100% Hope you feel better soon.
Sabaton glorifies the heroes, the brave, the sacrifices and those lost. Sabaton has never glorified war. Often people can distinguish between the two.
It’s honestly one of the best things about them!
JOJO fired up 🤟💯🔥
Lowkey I got kinda mad!
Just wanna thank you for a great reaction! You got a new sub!
Being Aussie, I know Cliffs of Gallipoli is going to hit hard so I am waiting till im at full health to hear that one!
And as you said, they don't care about sides.
the story behind this one is indeed too deep and emotional...also sad but true
i hope you been watching the sabaton history channel they tell the stories behind these songs sometimes even several parts for each song
I only discovered your channel today, and I must say I am enjoying it so far!
There are plenty of Sabaton songs that I think you would enjoy after you reacted to the big ones:
Uprising (the Warsaw ghetto uprising in 1944)
A Ghost in the Trenches (the story of Francis Pegamagabow, the highest decorated First Nations soldier in WW1)
Counterstrike (the Six day War of 1967)
The Last Battle (possibly the strangest battle of WW2 - German troops, together with American forces and French POWs fighting against Nazi forces in an Austrian castle)
Inmate 4859 (the story of a Polish man who willingly went to Auschwitz to collect data, broke out of Auschwitz, and provided his collected data to the Allies. He met a tragic end unfortunately)
Blood of Bannockburn (Robert the Bruce's victory over an English force that far outnumbered his own Scottish forces. Banger of a song with actual bagpipes!)
Hey, maybe do lyrics videos for Inmate 4859 and for Long Live The King? Those songs are amazing.
Sounds good to me! Thank you for the suggestion!!!
This song really is Sabaton - Nothing less, nothing more! Keep on doing the things you do!
Nice one! Another great heavy-hitter is Cliffs of Gallipoli, but if you want something more cheerful I'd recommend Resist and Bite.
This trip down the Sabaton rabithole has so far been a absolut treat. You are killing it! Happy new year!
I am so glad you are enjoying it!!!!
I have truly enjoyed your journey through Nightwish, Epica, and Sabaton. You seem to understand all 3 of them. Don't remember if you've reached one of the other symphonic metal titans Within Temptation. Happy New Year from Florida !
I am so glad you are enjoying the videos and I hope i can keep making content you enjoy!
This is one of my favorite sabaton song it’s hard, heavy and gives it to you straight WW1 was a shit show that caused so much pain and death.
Another great song about Passendale is Iron Maidens song titled Passendale. Saying that. Many of Iron Maidens are fantastic, especially Empire of the Clouds, Blood Brothers, Fear of the Dark, Clansman.
Other for Sabaton is things like Wolfpack, 40:1 etc.
you cant get peace by fighting for it you must not fight for peace to finaly have peace
Exactly!
I almost feel the soldiers desperation in this song. By my heart a masterpiece.
Yeah baby! Been waiting for this! Now just waiting for you to join me -.-
Bruh
New to the channel, but i agree with what you said; Sabaton do not glorify war. They are CHRONICLERS of history and music is just their medium for talking and teaching history. You hit it on the head. Well done Sir. And as a veteran myself, i can confirm there is no glory in war, but there IS honor in wearing a uniform and serve so others don't have to. Making that sacrifice so it does not fall on your own loved ones, there is honor in that. Sadly, its just a very thin margin between the two.
YEAHHHHH BABY MORE SABATON LETS GOOOOO
"Another day. Still alive. Cold, wet, hungry and exhausted. The discusting smell of soldiers alive can't hide the smell of the dead".
this a new Sabaton reaction for me :) I like it... you should do the Sabaton songs that most people dont react to :D
Which ones would you like to see? I’ll do my best to check them out!
They calculated it out, the price of a mile in this campaign was 75,000 lives per mile for six miles
The more you listen to Sabaton the more you are happy for the age you were born into - and not before.
You are my new fave react-person.
I’m glad you enjoyed it!!!
And they say it in the video from Bismarck at the "war knows no nation this song is dedicated to all those who lost their lives in the battle of the Atlantic" they don't pick sides because at the end of the day they both made great losses not a single soldier wanted to be there on the battlefields
Sabaton is teaching a history lesson with their music
Great reaction, from components of the music and feelings that the song made you feel.
Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it!
For the battle that this song represents and the time period and beliefs that are portrayed in “the price of a mile” this song is extremely accurate
Oh my god. Thank god he got out okay!
What's the price of a mile?
83,333 lives
War has a point...Offense or defense... One should always defend.
The guitar solo of ‚Price of a Mile‘ is where real men cried
Live version of this.... 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
🤘
This is the First World War, in The Third Battle of Ypres, the Battle at Passchendaele that they mention in the song, the Price of a Mile was 848000 lives, British/French and German.
That’s honestly horrible. It should never have happened.
If you want a headbanger and somethign that sweeps you up on your feet, try: Ghost Division, Screamign Eagles, Resist and Bite, Sparta.
would love to see a reaction to Sabaton - soldier of 3 armies
came back to this song now. watching almost all your sabaton reactions again.
Sabaton doesn't glorify war. They simply tell the stories.
Their older WW1 themed song that would be at home with their recent Great War album.
Great reaction! Could tell you were really in to it. Still waiting on Epica - Essence of Silence (official live) btw, the song written by their drummer
Oh fam I did a reaction to that a bit ago but it’s been blocked. I’m working on getting all that sorted!
@@JoJoLewis No worries!
So, here is the wiki article about this battle, you will... well, you won't enjoy it. :)
About the "Roads and houses - all is gone" part, there is an aerial photo before and after the battle about the village of Passchendaele ("At the fields of Passchendaele" part).
Just check the pictures in the wiki:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Passchendaele
this song hits hard for any british person because nearly every family lost someone in ww1 passchendaele and the somme brings tears to any british person
I believe war is ugly but sometimes necessary. It should never be an option chosen lightly and should ABSOLUTELY be the last option when you have exhausted all other roads.
You've got to react to the live version of this!
Old men start wars but it’s the young who pay the price of war
War only helps those in power and those with the money, not the people.
Bro i dont understand how people move that much to listening to music for the first time
He looks like hes being shocked every beat
I recommend to react Sabaton "Cliffs of Gallipoli"
Where is primo Victoria? Need to be live… nice reactions 🤘
Using the stat he gave of "6 miles of ground has been won, half a million men are gone" would mean the price of a mile avrages to around 83,000 lives
I'm just realized that the repeated guitar notes are:
Disturbing
Happy
Sad
(Repeat)
Damn all those war-glorifying history teachers! Also, you should check out the Sabaton History behind the song. :)
Thats the next planned Sabaton Reaction!
You talked about how the they the story through thier instruments. What if I told you that, on a modern musical publication, the actual CD publication of this song didn't end, the chorus looped with decreeing volume until it was nothing....
Cliffs of Gallipoli is about ANZACs and Ballad of Bull is about a specific Australian soldier
They are both actually coming really really soon!
australians had gallipoli. this way my countrys moment . passchendaele was Canada's gallipoli
sabaton doesn't glorify war or ideals, they glorify people and their actions, or they will tell you a story with the intent of bringing a tear to your eye.
