Do you just brush your whole head for a certain amount of time? Or do you brush each section a certain amount of strokes before switching to the next side? I guess a easier way to ask is: Do you brush each section of your head 50-100 strokes and then change to a new side? Or do you just brush your entire head for like 10-15 mins without stoppin?
Get a hand mirror and look at the top of your head in the mirror. Look for a "bald-spot" or your crown and thats where the hair is growing from. Grows outward from the spot so basically a circular motion around that spot. Just brush from the crown and out to the edges of your hair til you see it laying down like it should. You'll find the direction

When I put my durag on I try pull it down some more so theres as little hair showing but no waves are forming (I brush a lot).. I added some edgetastic to it, but it just leaves it str8.... Go get a rag from the local beauty supply house or Walmart they cost like 2.00 that's all you need for now and if your broke get some of your moms old pantyhose and was them then cut them into a stocking cap. But the waves don't come form the rag it just lays tour hair down. Get that stoking cap made and brush, brush, brush . it is not that hard
