Y'all are high if you think Ultimate Tenkaichi is worse than the previous 6 games. Also Battle of Z being nowhere to be found on this is insanely surprising.
Because it's better than all these games on this list. It started what xneoverse continued, online vs,co op, missions that are now parallel quests, giant battles, plus with metal cooler and hirugauan.
What? Ultimate Tenkaichi is an abomination and doesn't deserve to have that word in it's title. It's literally "Rock, Paper, Scissors the game" and doesn't even remotely hold a candle to what came before it. Battle of Z wasn't good either...but I'd rather play that over of Ultimate Tenkaichi any day.
I have/had as a kid: Dragon Power, Final Bout, battle 22 whatever it's called, legacy of Goku, and taiketsu.... I was always trying to track down every obscure DBZ game I could even as a kid and my grandpa happened to have Dragon Power so I was playing that before I'd ever even seen the show.
Sagas was a game I wanted as a kid (just ‘cause it was DBZ), but I never got it. Having seen gameplay……….yeah it’s not for me. I DO get a kick out of seein’ other people play it tho, it’s always hilarious 🤣
Final Bout was a great game, man. It was good for the time at which it came out, being the first 3D dragon ball fighting game. Seeing all the characters we hadn’t seen yet wasn’t much of a spoiler just made me want to watch DBZ even more to see what happens.
it was awesome but it made multiplayer a nightmare. You either had to use base forms (which were often clunky and completely imbalanced) or use leveled up forms which could one-shot any character in the game if you played it enough
Hey Dragon Ball ultimate tenkaichi was not a bad game! It's legit the only DBZ game that introduced real boss battles and a cool (yet weird) original story where you can make your own Saiyan!
I actually loved sagas growing up i used to play it all the time and then you can play as broly I thought that was cool I can't remember what other characters there was after you beat the game
Dragon Power looks more like they turned it into a Son Wukong game...which is who Goku is based on. A monkey man who used a pole that could extend. Dragon Ball is based on the novel Journey to the West.
LoG was among my first games I owned and it was definitely hard for kid me considering how grind heavy it was. Thankfully the developers listened to the feedback and LoG2 as well as Buu’s Fury were much better games overall. Just a shame LoG1 didn’t age as well as its successors. 8:43 also you’re wrong considering the 3 games I just mentioned and GT Transformation were also developed in America. Maybe you meant “first Console game made in America”
Mojo has no idea what they are talking about, half of these were amazing for the time they came out, Final bout was literally the best dragon ball game for the time, it even had rpg elements where you could level your character then fight your friends leveled characters with memory cards
I got sagas when I was a kid and my friend would come over and play with me. I wouldn't play it without him so it was something special between us so I guess that's probably why I liked it.
Me too and they were trash. I didn't even like how they played as a child. Controls were so clunky, gameplay was slow and there was just no depth to it. Simply not fun to play. Best thing about Ultimate Battle was the soundtrack. Best thing about Final Bout was the opening.
Bruh I’ve played all these games, I got ‘‘em on ps1 pirated in Mexico and thought they were so bad that the dudes selling them at the stand made it but then realized it was an identical copy of the retail and that blew my mind
I haven't heard of most of the early titles but Sagas was fun; when my friends and I first played Final Bout on Playstation we had a blast. It sure hasn't aged as well as others but was fun for its time
Hands down the best part of sagas was you had to earn the timed power up of Ssj2 and that was the only way to do damage to perfect cell which made sense and made it more of a challenge.
I still have a blast with ultimate tenkaichi to this day. It's probably the most fun of all the games on this specific list. I've played all of them but 1. 🤷♂️
Luckily, I was able to find all three artifacts without looking for the solution. The temple was very tough, but I was very diligent and leveled up Goku to level 20 quickly!
I remember really enjoying the legacy of goku games as a kid. I thought they were good for what they were, handheld dragon ball adventures. My favorite was legendary super warriors on gbc tho
In middle school coming home and play ultimate tenkaichi on ps3 was legendary. Idc how many people hate on it. It’s hands down one of the best. Custom character (aura, moves, etc) this game was amazing. Wish they would remake it
I still love Legacy of Goku. Obviously the sequels were way better in every way, but the first one had charm. The music is so nostalgic. It taught me how to grind a game and level up. I have beaten it many times. I played it again for fun a couple years ago for the first time in forever. I grinded in the second location almost as high as the game will let you go. The whole game is a breeze at that point lol
I remember playing dragon ball GT final bout when I was 13 the first time and loving it 🤣 always wanted to play when I was little but could never find it. wouldn't mind seeing it come back lol

I've Played legacy of Goku 2 , grinded hard and enjoyed every minute of it !!!
@@chesspunk489Hey! I was able to complete The Legacy of Goku two times recently without dying once. I collected plenty of herbs and used the senzu beans wisely. In addition, I defeated the dinosaur in the forest very often to reach level 10 quickly (600 EPs every time). However, I could not abuse the infinite health glitch since I possess the European version 😁👍🏻
The fact that they added goku in sage mode Naruto's outfit in the game
Tenkaichi is a disappointment, so is Battle of Z.
Hold up now. Sagas wasn't the only game developed by American devs. Legacy of Goku was as well.
Final Bout was a great game, man. It was good for the time at which it came out, being the first 3D dragon ball fighting game. Seeing all the characters we hadn’t seen yet wasn’t much of a spoiler just made me want to watch DBZ even more to see what happens.
Final bout was awesome. I loved the way your attacks became stronger the more often you used them
it was awesome but it made multiplayer a nightmare. You either had to use base forms (which were often clunky and completely imbalanced) or use leveled up forms which could one-shot any character in the game if you played it enough
@@nathanielbass771 oh... Well....
I never had any friends growing up 😢😢
@@zp944 well, I hope things have turned out better since then
I had a vegito that pimp smacked countless health bars off anyone. How lazy I was that the backhand was strongeKamehameha. Final kamehmeha.
Legacy of Goku on here is blasphemous
Hey Dragon Ball ultimate tenkaichi was not a bad game!
It's legit the only DBZ game that introduced real boss battles and a cool (yet weird) original story where you can make your own Saiyan!
Why do I still have DBZ Sagas in my house!?
I played all the Dragon Ball Z bodukai games (1-3) on PS2 & PS3 & I loved them.
Fun fact: Sagas was made by Avalanche Software. The same company behind Tak, Disney Infinity and Howarts Legacy.
I actually loved sagas growing up i used to play it all the time and then you can play as broly I thought that was cool I can't remember what other characters there was after you beat the game
Ultimate Tenkaichi's fighting mechanics may be below par but It's soundtrack was a 10 outta 10.
Don't touch Sagas!
Legacy of Goku was lit for its time.
Sagas was ok lowkey 😂
No! Bad, you! Very bad you!
I second this take
Ultimate battle 22 will honestly always hold a special place in my heart. I remember playing it as a kid so much
There was also a terrible dragon ball game based on the movie Dragon Ball evolution. I waited for it for the whole 10 minutes, guys)
Gameplay wise it's not that bad. It's just Shin Budokai with an ugly new coat of paint.
The movie was horrible, but the game was just subpar. Boring, mediocre, but ultimately harmless
I was waiting for the trading card game for the gameboy advance.
I like to pretend that the game and movie never existed
The game isn't terrible. It's just attached to a terrible movie.
Mojo has no idea what they are talking about, half of these were amazing for the time they came out, Final bout was literally the best dragon ball game for the time, it even had rpg elements where you could level your character then fight your friends leveled characters with memory cards
I actually enjoyed Ultamite Tenchaichi, it was really fun. Everything else I agree with
I got sagas when I was a kid and my friend would come over and play with me. I wouldn't play it without him so it was something special between us so I guess that's probably why I liked it.
I grew up with Final Bout and ultimate battle...
Me too and they were trash. I didn't even like how they played as a child. Controls were so clunky, gameplay was slow and there was just no depth to it. Simply not fun to play. Best thing about Ultimate Battle was the soundtrack. Best thing about Final Bout was the opening.
Ultimate battle 22 was one of my childhood games. Used to play it with my brother, was pretty fun back then.
raging blast 2 is the best dbz game
Bruh I’ve played all these games, I got ‘‘em on ps1 pirated in Mexico and thought they were so bad that the dudes selling them at the stand made it but then realized it was an identical copy of the retail and that blew my mind
I haven't heard of most of the early titles but Sagas was fun; when my friends and I first played Final Bout on Playstation we had a blast. It sure hasn't aged as well as others but was fun for its time
Vegeta on that thumbnail lookin like Imhotep from 1999 The Mummy lol
This is Vegeta from Ultimate Tenkaichi. What a terrible design, don't you agree?
I to an extent liked Ultimate Tenkaichi. Other then the combat, and small roster everything else was good especially the concerning the CaC.
Dragon Ball GT Final Bout was the first Dragon Ball game I've ever played and I enjoyed the hell out of it, I don't care what anyone says about it.
I wouldn't mind play the DBZ Kinect honestly, ultimate Tenkaichi is decent I'm not complaining about it at all
Hands down the best part of sagas was you had to earn the timed power up of Ssj2 and that was the only way to do damage to perfect cell which made sense and made it more of a challenge.
The Legacy of Goku 1 & 2 were fun games!! Doesn't matter what you say about it!!
Looking back on those two gems:
They didn't feel like DBZ games at all,
they felt like Secret of Mana clones.
1 was garbage, but 2 was great 👍
Unpopular opinion: I hate fighterz
💯
I still have a blast with ultimate tenkaichi to this day. It's probably the most fun of all the games on this specific list. I've played all of them but 1. 🤷♂️
Ultimate Battle 22 was weird because it released in America only on PS1 well after the PS2 was around, so it felt very out of place
The Dragon Ball Final Bout slander. That game was shit, but it wasn’t that bad. And the music is literally the best in the entire line of DBZ games
I’m actually so happy BurstLimit wasn’t on here bc I loved that game growing up
7:28 frieza really waited to get hit 💀💀😅
Vegeta's face in the thumbnail is a disgrace to Dragon Ball as a whole!
I’ve played all these games and Taiketsu has to be worst by a mile .
Ultimate tenkaichi was only good to watch at 10 years old on RUclips
Taiketsu really does deserve the hate, I have no excuse for this one 😅
@7:35 brah these models in DBZ Taiketsu look like they could be in Robot Chicken 😂
Legacy of goku 1 was hard af to pass especially that temple
Luckily, I was able to find all three artifacts without looking for the solution. The temple was very tough, but I was very diligent and leveled up Goku to level 20 quickly!
That animator game would be cool on phone tbh
7:18 no your wrong I still enjoy this game it’s so much fun especially with people to play it with I love this game with all my heart
IDK about you but Legacy of Goku, Ultimate Tenkaichi & Sagas were super fun games
Legacy of Goku and Sagas don't deserve to be here
I loved "Final Bout" back in the day when I was a kid.
I love playing DBZ The Legacy of Goku.
Shocks me Battle of Z wasn't there
Honorable Mention: Battle Of Z
I remember really enjoying the legacy of goku games as a kid. I thought they were good for what they were, handheld dragon ball adventures. My favorite was legendary super warriors on gbc tho
In middle school coming home and play ultimate tenkaichi on ps3 was legendary. Idc how many people hate on it. It’s hands down one of the best. Custom character (aura, moves, etc) this game was amazing. Wish they would remake it
Even as a kid who played Ultimate Tenkaichi, I couldn’t pretend how pretentious it looks. All garnish, no meat.
Final Bout was dope for its time man. Unlocking ssj4 felt so good lol
Ultimate tenchaichi was fun but repeatative and sagas was one of the best....
I had fond memories of Sagas, it’s just that those memories span like 3 hours before beating the story and having nothing substantial left to do
I'd always replay it with the cheat codes activated
I still love Legacy of Goku. Obviously the sequels were way better in every way, but the first one had charm. The music is so nostalgic. It taught me how to grind a game and level up. I have beaten it many times. I played it again for fun a couple years ago for the first time in forever. I grinded in the second location almost as high as the game will let you go. The whole game is a breeze at that point lol
I remember playing dragon ball GT final bout when I was 13 the first time and loving it 🤣 always wanted to play when I was little but could never find it. wouldn't mind seeing it come back lol
