Can you do The Top 10 Best Dragonball games next time?
Dbz ultimate battle 22...man, what a disappointment...
Yes. Dragon Ball Z Sagas. My brother, Tyler, used to play that game. It was terrible.
I used to own a PlayStation 2 game called DBZ: Infinite World and it was so bad....it didn't even cover the entire series of DBZ....
I own dragon ball z sagas
Ultimate tenkaichi spent its whole budget on the graphics engine and the cinematic cutscenes.
I liked it when I was 8
I feel like the button mashing sequences in some of the fights were ridiculous.
Just a long game of rock paper scissors
69 likes welp
And in soundtrack also! It is my fav soundtrack
I actually loved sagas growing up but was always disappointed it endes at the cell saga
You’re not the only one my friend
I remember growing up and hearing a rumor that there was a secret buu arc once you achieved 100% on all difficulty, and the internet wasn't full of information like it is today so we had no way to prove it unless we did it ourselves
I can't really blame them for ending it on the cell saga for some of their games. As much as I liked the buu saga, I think the cell saga is where the series hit it's peak.
@@leonardmillsiii8364 see honestly im not a fan of the whole cell games bit, androids are great but it really fell off at the end for me. Buu saga was solid but namek was the shit
@BadNewsBear BnB I see what you mean and like I said I really liked the buu saga. It just led to things that kind of annoy me.
Final Bout was a massive hit in South America, everyone was playing it in the arcades, destrying ps1 controllers haha
Exactly. Here in Costa Rica that game caused madness. Specially because it was around the time the new translated DBZ episodes were airing.
Triangle buttons ⚰️
Here in Peru was awesome. I only have good memories about that game.
Yep I was born in Colombia and that’s one of the first PS1 games I got when I was a kid.
In Indonesia we even have a rule to not use meteor aka joystick destroyer
It's one of my favorite Dragonball games. It was extremely rare to find in the US which is why its not as popular here.
Say what you want but Dragon Ball Z Sagas had the most absolutely terrifying, fast, powerful, fun and outright broken Broly gameplay of all time!
I had fun with Sagas as a kid. It's not horrible, and was unique in allowing you to actually walk around and fight not just being another fighter, and hard? The only hard part in this game was the fight against Cell because you have to power up enough to become super sayian 2, but your energy is constantly depleting. I agree with everything on the list, but this one be it my own personal opinion.
Yeah, I thought it was pretty okay, heck it’s what kickstarted me into liking the Dragon Ball franchise here and there
Sagas is kind of hard.
Same I loved sagas. It was different in a great way
It was horrible
Agreed I remember replaying it a lot as a kid and having fun when you could choose to play as whoever.
I played sagas with my brother when we were kids and had a pretty good time playing it the only disappointment that we would say was that the game was pretty short-handed in its features and story
I fucking loved saga, playing co op w my brother we did the raditz and namek missions a million times
Dope ass game loved being able to walk around and find your target. And the cutscenes were pretty cool too. It would have been cooler of there was a Buu saga would have made the game much more complete.
I enjoyed Legacy of Goku on the GBA as a kid. And Sagas was pretty fun too. Kind of like a DBZ open world game.
I have all GBA dbz and gt games all classics 😁👍🏾💯🔥
I enjoyed Sagas when I was little. DBZ Kakarot (2020) did everything that sagas did but a lot better, and was more open world-y.
Legacy was a success . I don't know why he choose it but even for 2002 the graphics were amazing good
@@TheMiguelarrifano I loved legacy of goku too especially the flying mechanic
Ultimate tenkaichi had a lot of good stuff but the combat was just bad, you could pick your CaC aura, QTE events were good, & it was a good CaC story
Honestly I personally love ultimate tenkaichi to the soundtrack then to the story mode I love how dark and depressing the hero story mode was it’s on dragon ball z story that didn’t lead to an happy ending plus it gave me future Gohan vibs idk bro this game was great except the controls
The best thing about Ultimate Tenkaichi had to be the beam clashes for me
what is CaC?

damn i used to love legacy of goku. still do too
Legacy 2 and buu's fury are the best storytelling of any dbz game ever imo. But the first one is beyond frustrating in gameplay and super clunky
The first one was trash but 2 and Buu's Fury were great
I like Legacybof Goku as well.
@@ClassicallyChristion I agree, but I don't think it deserves to be on the worst 10 games. Its not good, but its not bad either.
It's because it's a good game.
Sagas was not THAT bad. It wasn't ball busting good but, it was a good casual game you can play with a friend. Perfect Cel was tough because of the requirement to go SS2 Gohan while your gauge depletes.
sagas was horrible
Honestly you'd be better off playing DBZ Kakarot
It was borderline unplayable lmao.

Do u mean Budokai Tenkaichi 3 or Super Butoden.
I never played Butoden but i can confirm DBZ BT3 is a Masterpiece in my opinion.
You missed THE dud of duds. Not sure how, but you missed DragonBall Evolution for PSP. It's the Street Fighter The Movie : The Game equivalent for DB Universe...
Yeah, we kinda don't talk about that.
I actually enjoyed Ultimate Battle 22, it was annoying at times but it was Budokai 0.5 to me. Sometimes I’d only figure out how to play by button mashing but it was such a gem at the time 😅
same, first dragon ball game for me.
first dbz game as well, i loved it tbh at the time ahahah
First as well and I thought it was dogshit but I was too young to understand why I hated it lmao. I wish I could get it again tho
I had the Japenese version, had to have a special part to add to my ps1 and had a special sequence to get it to work lmao. I loved it.
@@robertulm6973 I used to own the Japanese version on my Asia PS1 - I bought the US version later - I felt sorta robbed when I found out the pre-battle cutscenes got removed for the US version lol
I loved playing Sagas. It was on the GameCube. I was a young kid and didn't find anything wrong with it. Was a completely different type of DBZ game. Had a great time.
Sergio Sanchez, Did you Drive.
BROOOOOO ME TOOOO
that’s how me and my brothers would play it and we couldn’t reach till the final final which was the goal every time we would play
That’s how I Discovered DragonBall Z
Wish you had listed what system these games were on
worst games dragon ball z saga
Ever heard of research
Yes. Yeeessss. Just for.... curiosity.....
So you can play them or better avoid them?
Hmm, I wonder what system "Dragon Ball Z for Kinect" was for...
I put so many mindless hours into the legacy of goku as a kid and enjoyed every minute of it
I actually enjoyed playing dragon ball z sagas even though it only took me about two hours to beat the story mode.
Facts! Good times 💯
Dbz budokai 2 was my fav as a kid
I still remember getting it for xmas and losing my shit
Dude tf Just because Sagas was too tough for you does not mean it was broken or bad lol. It had great combo features and mechanics, and the last Cell fight is very tough. But it is still one of the better DBZ games I have ever played 💯
Sagas is awful and everyone else agrees too. It wasn't "too hard" it was badly designed in every way. It deserves it's place as one of the worst video games of all time. Not just DBZ. Worst GAMES ever. Period. Your opinion is wrong and your nostalgia has blinded you to harsh reality. It sucks. Get over it.
IT wasnt "too hard", it was broken and badly made, hit detection was awful, graphics were horrible even for the time and the scenarios were broken beyond belief. If you liked its fine , but it was shit.
@@kleinkaufman8940 Hahaha it is okay if you didn't like it. I am a DBZ fan so I did not mind the graphics too much, they are just different from any other game in the industry, which may make it look weird. I said 'too hard' so it doesn't look like I'm bragging or something, but I beat Cell the first time I played that game. No kidding. I don't get it when people call it broken. It was a very long fight but just the right combos will get you there. The combos DO work like charm, and I don't understand when people call it broken. I still stand on what I said and I can play that game today and still beat Cell, experiencing nothing broken.
@@techjuana hey it's ok, admit that you like a trash game,. it's fine
@@mihaimercenarul7467 hey it is okay, admit that you could not beat a simple game, it is fine
I remember seeing Taiketsu in gamestop at the mall back in high school. It was a DBZ game, and I'd loved the Legacy of Goku series, so I bought. I remember playing while we sat and waited for food somewhere after and I couldn't believe that crap. I was like "WTF is this game?" It's the gaming equivalent of the live action dragon ball movie.
What country ? And what year was you in high school?
Ultimate Tenkaichi really, really liked that time Goku’s special move was Rock-Paper-Scissors. Which is a shame because the graphics were pretty good. And then there’s the XBox Kinect version…
That one had me it was so hard to fight and the moves were hard to do it was just bad but at least there was the movie in it
Honestly I personally love ultimate tenkaichi to the soundtrack then to the story mode I love how dark and depressing the hero story mode was it’s on dragon ball z story that didn’t lead to an happy ending plus it gave me future Gohan vibs idk bro this game was great except the controls
It plays more like budokai then tenkachi, because during dragon rushes it was all luck if the ai would guess your inputs correctly.
We don't talk about the Kinect game.
I actually really like Ultimate Tenkaichi.
4 me it's bad coz of controlled gameplay but the music and graphics is the best
i did too when i was little.. i would had spent almost all day playing it.. and the soundtrack.. god it's perfect
@@g10viwho70 I listen to that soundtrack so many times. We need that music to return. The main theme for Goku perfectly captures the spirit of him.
I barley skipped dbz games but this went under my radar
I agree with Legacy of Goku being on this list. The first iteration of the series was awful. I played them as a kid and am replaying them now. LoG2 and Buu's Fury are still gems, but the first felt the same as it did back in the day; clunky, mechanics felt unpolished, and the sound - specifically, the music wasn't anything special. Thankfully, the 2 games that followed the series were immensely better.
When I watched TFS play it, there were NPCs that needed a glitch to beat cause they were too difficult.
LoG1 needed to be on the Nintendo 64, LoG2 needed to be on the GameCube, and Buu's Fury needed to be on the Wii.
Those three games on the GBA felt too much like Secret of Mana ripoffs.
Sagas for me is in way higher position to be liked then a lot of other DB games due fact that is only DB game you can play story with your friend and not just against friend or with friend against 2 other bots like a most of DB games do. So because there is no other DB games to play story with friend/s atm at all meaning there is no competition for that type of thing aka Story with Friend/s I still end up liking Sagas a lot.
‼️‼️‼️I was thinking the same thing. Playing the co-op story mode with my cousin was so fun
I actually liked sagas. and it had coop so my brother played too
Me and my cousin used play it all night I think it’s one of the best ever made for the great memories
If anyone still has Legacy of Goku, I have a tip. There’s an invincibility trick. You have to be hit by a Ki blast while in flight mode. It was somewhat hard to pull off, but it made the Frieza fight really easy for me
Or you can just enter the Konami code on the opening screen before the game lol
It wasn't hard for me to pull it off.
Love how 90% of people talking about sagas clunky fighting. Never shows that there's a lock on button to help you aim key attacks and and punches
Final bout was awesome. I loved the way your attacks became stronger the more often you used them
it was awesome but it made multiplayer a nightmare. You either had to use base forms (which were often clunky and completely imbalanced) or use leveled up forms which could one-shot any character in the game if you played it enough
@@nathanielbass771 oh... Well....
I never had any friends growing up 😢😢
@@zp944 well, I hope things have turned out better since then
I had a vegito that pimp smacked countless health bars off anyone. How lazy I was that the backhand was strongeKamehameha. Final kamehmeha.
Legacy of Goku on here is blasphemous
I am currently playing Ultimate Tenkaichi. I have no nostalgia for the game, I knew it was bad and thought it be fun for a friend of mine to play through the Hero mode together. Honestly, I had fun with it, it was pretty easy to soon figure out how the AI and the flow of the fight. The QTevents for giant boss battles was the worse and gave me the most struggle.
P.S I picked up the game because of Team4Stars run of the game and saw it was dirt cheap. One quick time event I had no problem with compared to everyone else was the scrolling button minigame for the dodge, I actually relied on it quite a bit for battles... although its final confirmation sound gives me a heartache every time because it sounds like I got it wrong.
Y'all are high if you think Ultimate Tenkaichi is worse than the previous 6 games.
Also Battle of Z being nowhere to be found on this is insanely surprising.
Because it's better than all these games on this list.
It started what xneoverse continued, online vs,co op, missions that are now parallel quests, giant battles, plus with metal cooler and hirugauan.
What? Ultimate Tenkaichi is an abomination and doesn't deserve to have that word in it's title. It's literally "Rock, Paper, Scissors the game" and doesn't even remotely hold a candle to what came before it. Battle of Z wasn't good either...but I'd rather play that over of Ultimate Tenkaichi any day.
The fact that they added goku in sage mode Naruto's outfit in the game
Tenkaichi is a disappointment, so is Battle of Z.
Oddly enough, I actually enjoyed Sagas as a kid… of course when I got older, I realized how horrible it truly was but I did like how they included the episode previews and scenes from the anime and the sorta free roam was fun considering it came before the Tenkaichi series. The SS2 Gohan vs. Cell fight always pissed me off because of the having to keep the Ki bar at SS2 level in order to damage Cell was so annoying and oh God I forgot all about Taiketsu, I had it as a kid and could never figure out how to do the air fights 😂 game was so horrible that I wiped it from my memory until this video brought them back
Okay let's be honest now. Dragon Ball Z Sagas was a good game. Unique and different for its time. Good thing I still own it.
Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi was actually pretty fun and good quality-wise. I can understand how the Xenoverse games were inspired from this due to your own character customization and the blending of them into the actual story. Glad I still own that.
Now we need a list for underrated Dragon Ball games because I've played majority of them.
Sagas was ok lowkey 😂
No! Bad, you! Very bad you!
I happen to love Ultimate Tenkaichi
Weird
I love it as well
Sagas was a game I wanted as a kid (just ‘cause it was DBZ), but I never got it. Having seen gameplay……….yeah it’s not for me. I DO get a kick out of seein’ other people play it tho, it’s always hilarious 🤣
Hey Dragon Ball ultimate tenkaichi was not a bad game!
It's legit the only DBZ game that introduced real boss battles and a cool (yet weird) original story where you can make your own Saiyan!
The Dragon Ball Final Bout slander. That game was shit, but it wasn’t that bad. And the music is literally the best in the entire line of DBZ games
I played all the Dragon Ball Z bodukai games (1-3) on PS2 & PS3 & I loved them.
I had fun playing Final Bout and Sagas, maybe it's because I didn't know, at that time, about Budokai and Tenkaichi. One thing I loved about Sagas was the soundtrack, It was really good.
Legacy of goku 1 was hard af to pass especially that temple
Luckily, I was able to find all three artifacts without looking for the solution. The temple was very tough, but I was very diligent and leveled up Goku to level 20 quickly!
I actually loved sagas growing up i used to play it all the time and then you can play as broly I thought that was cool I can't remember what other characters there was after you beat the game
As a kid I remember playing Sagas and The legacy of Goku. While I knew that they were not in the same league as the Budokai and Tenkaichi series back then, my child-self's mind wasn't that critical and I just took them for what they were (they weren't the best Dragon Ball Z games, but they were at least playable).
Legacy of Goku 2 was amazing but number 1 was pretty bad though.
Why do I still have DBZ Sagas in my house!?
Ultimate battle 22 will honestly always hold a special place in my heart. I remember playing it as a kid so much
Like my best friend says "if u didn't like a game u just weren't good at it" sagas was the awesome specially when u could use broly
Sorry but some games just suck
And bardock
It did sucked
Vegeta on that thumbnail lookin like Imhotep from 1999 The Mummy lol
This is Vegeta from Ultimate Tenkaichi. What a terrible design, don't you agree?
I actually had fun with Legacy of Goku and if it wasn't for the series DBZ Kakarot wouldn't have existed.
Kakarot definitely still would’ve happened without Legacy of Goku
I feel like I am the only one who likes Legacy of Goku. When you're about to die just save and once you get killed and click on your game you will have full health again. Eventually you will get tough enough to defeat the enemies.
@@chesspunk489 never thought about save scumming back then. that being said i would love the series come to Switch and other platforms, maybe a Dragon Ball Advance collection like they did with the Castlevania Advance collection.
I've Played legacy of Goku 2 , grinded hard and enjoyed every minute of it !!!
@@chesspunk489Hey! I was able to complete The Legacy of Goku two times recently without dying once. I collected plenty of herbs and used the senzu beans wisely. In addition, I defeated the dinosaur in the forest very often to reach level 10 quickly (600 EPs every time). However, I could not abuse the infinite health glitch since I possess the European version 😁👍🏻
10:43 but this game gave me a good sweat
i remember playing sagas with my friends back in the day i liked how it was co - op and for it’s time it wasn’t really a bad DBZ game tbh . i wish they could remake that co op aspect with a future kakarot update or something ..
Also ultimate tenkaichi is just raging blast 2 but with a story mode, different characters added and missing and a different game mechanic.
Hold up now. Sagas wasn't the only game developed by American devs. Legacy of Goku was as well.
It feels like this was a case where WatchMojo found 3 or 4 bad games and stretched it into a full list. Most of the games on this list weren't that bad, and were just rough around the edges and aged poorly, but they made it out like everything on this list was a painful pile of trash. It sounds almost like a rejected AVGN episode.
There was also a terrible dragon ball game based on the movie Dragon Ball evolution. I waited for it for the whole 10 minutes, guys)
Gameplay wise it's not that bad. It's just Shin Budokai with an ugly new coat of paint.
The movie was horrible, but the game was just subpar. Boring, mediocre, but ultimately harmless
I was waiting for the trading card game for the gameboy advance.
I like to pretend that the game and movie never existed
The game isn't terrible. It's just attached to a terrible movie.
Vegeta's face in the thumbnail is a disgrace to Dragon Ball as a whole!
Dragon Power looks more like they turned it into a Son Wukong game...which is who Goku is based on. A monkey man who used a pole that could extend. Dragon Ball is based on the novel Journey to the West.
Hands down the best part of sagas was you had to earn the timed power up of Ssj2 and that was the only way to do damage to perfect cell which made sense and made it more of a challenge.
I to an extent liked Ultimate Tenkaichi. Other then the combat, and small roster everything else was good especially the concerning the CaC.
Legacy of Goku was lit for its time.
Ultimate tenchaichi was fun but repeatative and sagas was one of the best....
Don't touch Sagas!
Ultimate Tenkaichi's fighting mechanics may be below par but It's soundtrack was a 10 outta 10.
raging blast 2 is the best dbz game
Final Bout was dope for its time man. Unlocking ssj4 felt so good lol
I have/had as a kid: Dragon Power, Final Bout, battle 22 whatever it's called, legacy of Goku, and taiketsu.... I was always trying to track down every obscure DBZ game I could even as a kid and my grandpa happened to have Dragon Power so I was playing that before I'd ever even seen the show.
Hey, I know that The Legacy of Goku is very challenging, but I was able to complete it two times without dying once. I collected plenty of herbs and used the senzu beans wisely. In addition, I defeated the dinosaur in the forest very often to reach level 10 quickly (600 EPs every time). If you make use of the glitches, you should be able to beat the game consistently 🙂👍🏻
I grew up with Final Bout and ultimate battle...
Me too and they were trash. I didn't even like how they played as a child. Controls were so clunky, gameplay was slow and there was just no depth to it. Simply not fun to play. Best thing about Ultimate Battle was the soundtrack. Best thing about Final Bout was the opening.
I actually enjoyed Ultamite Tenchaichi, it was really fun. Everything else I agree with
I wouldn't mind play the DBZ Kinect honestly, ultimate Tenkaichi is decent I'm not complaining about it at all
ultimate tenkaichi is not bad for me.
Unpopular opinion: I hate fighterz
💯
I still have a blast with ultimate tenkaichi to this day. It's probably the most fun of all the games on this specific list. I've played all of them but 1. 🤷♂️
I haven't heard of most of the early titles but Sagas was fun; when my friends and I first played Final Bout on Playstation we had a blast. It sure hasn't aged as well as others but was fun for its time
I had Ultimate Battle 22 and remember being so hyped to play it with my brother and sadly it was garbage.
The main problem about *Legacy of Goku 1* was the short playtime and not the gameplay itself.
Ultimate Tenikaichi really was a double disappointment.
Because not only it dared to bear the "Tenikaichi" name, but it also disappoints in how big of a step back it was after Raging Blast 2.
Sure, Raging Blast 1 already was a bit of a step back from Tenikaichi 3, in terms of content; but it tried to reweamp the gameplay, and it gave us ssj3 Vegeta and Broly... then Raging Blast 2 build on it, and added more characters, including some that were never playable before (like Dore and Neiz).
Then... instead of further building on THAT, and make Raging Blast 3, or repackage all the Tenikaichi galore for a collection, they decided to cut away over half of the roster, including base forms and unfused characters, even ssj forms! (seriously, no base teen Gohan, no base Gohan, no Goten, no ssj2 Vegeta, no Base and ssj Broly), thus they made a roster that could have been acceptable in the early 2000s, but not in the post Budokai Tenikaichi 2 era, and made a shitty gameplay indeed...
Taiketsu really does deserve the hate, I have no excuse for this one 😅
Legacy of goku is great game had a great time playing it.
When I was a kid I'd go to my friend's house and play sagas, I'd always try to tell him the game is shit but he wouldn't believe me
Mans took my childhood and just took a dump on it lol. These games were all so much fun back in the day and life was so good! 😔
Ultimate tenkaichi was only good to watch at 10 years old on RUclips
I played sagas and ultimate tenkiachi soooo much loved em
most of these were really fun for the time. games like ultimate tenkaichi and dbz battle royale are inexcusable
LoG was among my first games I owned and it was definitely hard for kid me considering how grind heavy it was. Thankfully the developers listened to the feedback and LoG2 as well as Buu’s Fury were much better games overall. Just a shame LoG1 didn’t age as well as its successors.
8:43 also you’re wrong considering the 3 games I just mentioned and GT Transformation were also developed in America. Maybe you meant “first Console game made in America”
I got sagas when I was a kid and my friend would come over and play with me. I wouldn't play it without him so it was something special between us so I guess that's probably why I liked it.
That animator game would be cool on phone tbh

I remember playing Final Bout in the past. And… I remember liking it. But I don’t think it was as bad as one would think.
it was bad but not "worst" bad. its major flaw was balance. offensive characters had no weaknesses and if you used base characters without leveling, the game was completely imbalanced with some able to do half a health bar in a single attack; While not really a fair reason, if you ended up with the wrong matchup, you could cause the game to freeze during some of the animations
Fun fact: Sagas was made by Avalanche Software. The same company behind Tak, Disney Infinity and Howarts Legacy.
For the time, Final Bout looked really good. They did superb with the character models and gameplay was fun. Taiketsu, I put so many hours into that game but it was hot garbage. I don't even know why I played it so much 😭
Looks like the new Fist Of The North Star game for the Switch will like the Dragon Ball Z For Kinect of it's franchise........although since it uses actual controllers, it might not be THAT BAD.....
3:53 Well, to be fair here, this could be a good template for anyone looking to make their own Dragon Ball Super Fan Manga like that guy on RUclips who calls himself “Call Me ARJ” for example.
With his Dragon Ball Super fan manga where Ultra Instinctually Egotistically compassionately deranged yet level headed Vegeto fusion of Goku, and Vegeta is the main character. Plus if, you’ve been following that story on his channel, now he’s a fusion of of Goku Black & Zamasu fused into Ultra Vegeto where, Goku and Vegeta and Zamasu Goku Black Rose Ultra instinct are all inside Vegeto’s 🧠 brain space landscape of consciousness.💙💚❤️🖤it so far.
Imagine being a Japanese kid in like 92' and DBZ is over. Then 10 years later, DBZ blows up in the states and brings it all back to life. I've been told that the US revitalized it all over again as a phenomenon by my older foreign friends.
How dragon ball z battle of z evaded this list is beyond me
It was so meh that it's not even worth mentioning.
i remember beating dbz kinect on the hardest difficulty when i was 12 just because i really wanted super saiyan bardock
Actually each game has potential just need some better teams to give the experience of better content in game
You could say that about nearly every game, couldn't you?
So basically every game ever?
Ultimate Battle 22 was weird because it released in America only on PS1 well after the PS2 was around, so it felt very out of place
legacy of goku 1 might be in the 10 worse games ive ever played..... log2 and buus fury were fiiire tho
I loved the legacy of goku and enjoyed taiketsu as well as sagas. My brother and I spent hours playing sagas. At the end you play as Broly. Loved all these terrible games as a kid
