      Brother, these people come with a camera and showcase poverty of our continent to embarrass us in front of the world. They are not here for anything positive, for centuries they have only Brought negativity to the continent. Don’t be a fool and think they are here for good and if you see one of them with a camera they should be met with hostility.

    The sad thing is that south sudan had a potential to be a spectacular modern country, but they wasted it all on endless war & probably corruption. So all the fight that their founders fought for is totally wasted. Let's hope that the next generation will work for the good of the country.

    I had expected that you take us through the airport (giving account of first impression), drive-thru the down town, administrative /residential areas, highlighting the major streets, buildings and monuments (if any) ….touching on the good, ugly and bad ….the slums and recent development in term of infrastructure since independence. What I can see are the same snapshots to emphasize/ reinforce held narratives / perceptions. Shame.

    • @wollwerthimagery6267
      @wollwerthimagery6267  Год назад +1

      Much as I would have liked to do a comprehensive tour of Juba, filming in Juba is very tenuous. Police and military presence is everywhere, and if you even think about taking a camera out, even a phone camera, in the airport, they will arrest you. So I shot what I could in the time I was there. I can tell you that there have been some infrastructure improvements in the past few years. More roads are paved, the Juba-Bor highway is a huge improvement, and some good hotels have gone up.
