I had r14's on my b2401 and they tore my yard up while turning. Sandy stuff. B2601 and r4s now and no problems. That's with mower deck on and loader off on both tractors.
The r14s are awesome in snow compared to r4s

Yep I am happy with them. I think if I took the loader off and didn’t put it in 4WD it would have not chewed up the lawn. Thanks for checking out the video 🙋🏻♂️😁👍☀️
Hi MJA. I have the same tractor and belly Mower and my deck falls at times when mowing. Example I set cutting dial to 4 and after a few minutes going over some bumps the deck falls to 3 then 2 etc. I see at minute 5:59 your hydraulic 3 point lever is set to approx #6. I thought to set the cutting height you fully raise the hydraulics, then use the grass cutting height knob to set the cutting height (example 3 or 4 on the dial between your legs) then fully lower the hydraulics to the lowest positin? Am I doing this, Wrong? Is my deck slipping down since all the weight is on the cutting knob cam and your holding up your deck weight using the hydraulics? When you mow what is the cutting height knob set to and the hydraulic lever set to? Thanks Im going crazy trying to mow successfully with this brand new tractor
I have it at 6 on the 3 point lever so if I back up on the slopes the 3 point doesn’t dig into the ground. I set the nob at 3-4 depending on the weather. I would call the dealer about your mow deck not staying in the position you chose. I think when they put it on the trailer and drove it to deliver the tractor they didn’t have the mow deck down on the trailer deck so it bent the nob shaft or something when it hit a pit hole. Should be fixed under warranty. Good luck and thanks for watching. 😁👍🚜💨☀️
That's a great looking lawn. I'm thinking the torn up grass is mostly due to the 4WD being engaged. I had the same thing happen the last time I used my tractor (R4's). Disengaged the 4WD and presto...stopped tearing up the lawn. Not that I'd really call what we have at the Overlook a "lawn". A "yard" yes..."lawn" no! 😉👍
Great tractor tip Chris 👍I thought about that after the fact but going up hill seems easier in 4WD. I should maybe take it out of 4WD when I make a sharp turn then put it back on the hill. The things we do for a video🤣 see you on the next one.☀️😁👍
I have the cab version AND juice in the rear R4 tires on my 2650 using a 60" MMM and still don't get any more scuff or tear than what you have shown here. Most of the time I take my FEL off for mowing, but have even mowed with the FEL on and grapple connected - still nothing other than typical mowing tracks for me. I do have a drainage swale that gets really squishy (water tracks up the tires when riding thru) and that is the only place I would say I could do some damage. Overall, I would say I get very similar results with my R4 tires.

I just order l 2501 hat I asked for r14's put being a newbie dealer said ok. Not knowing AR r14's come only one size for l 2501 or are their options on r14 sizes.

I think the R-14 works especially well on snow, and just fine on everything else too. I had a BX series before my B2601, with R-4 tires. I am not sure if it was because the tractor was lighter, or the R-4 is not as good in the snow, but the R-14's are much better. If you turn sharp in 4WD with any tire, you are going to scuff the turf somewhat. Its just the way it is. Nice camera and editing Mitch! Cheers!
