2. A visual refresh. With the latest Synthesia version, new videos will be even MORE colorful.
3. We are making a permanent move to 1080p60 as of the last upload.
4. Introducing a basic difficulty scale. 5 LEVELS: Teal, Green, Yellow, Red, and Purple. From easiest to hardest.

When they say "the left hand has less to do..."
You know now what to show them.
then they show you the "winter wind" etude
SpaceLion87 I know right 😂
TacTundra XD (RIGHT VS LEFT) WHO WILL WIN MMMM
There's an étude made for the left hand.
lul just show them any animenz piece his style is super crazy left hand movements xD
I think Chopin had right hand on the left side
Nope, watch Winter Wind
3.000 subs without videos hey you got your goal!!! Over 3 subs!!
Mienkaft that’s right he got his goal, 3.000 subs, not 3,000
And his op 10 no. 1 too lol ig he has two dominant hands
he has two right hands
the first time i heard this melody was on the game dance dance revolution. had no idea it was a piano piece until i heard my neighbor playing it on her piano. i was like what piece is that? then i learned to play chopin and how wonderful his music is.
Study Op.10 No. 12 appeared the same time as the November Uprising in 1831. Chopin poured his emotions into many pieces at the time, this "Revolutionary" Study being the most notable example. In terms of technique, the left hand plays long descending runs, which forms a dominant seventh chord build-up to the main theme. The rest of the passage focuses on the left hand fingering scales and arpeggios. Although the greatest challenge lies with the relentless left hand semiquavers, the right hand is also challenged by the cross- technique which are used with increasing sophistication to handle the same theme in various successive parallel passages. The end of the étude alludes to Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 32, written in the same key-a piece Chopin is known to have greatly admired- compare bars 77-81 in the Étude to bars 150-152 in the first movement (also ending in C major) of Beethoven's sonata.
nothing compares to this piece live.
I meant seeing a live performance
xD
OMG! I look forward to 2016, all your videos are amazing and I can tell you put a lot of effort on this channel! :)
this is revolutionary
Love the new style
Best ending ever. So original
it triggers me cause it sounds like a modulation to f minor, an ending on the dominant...
@@marsaeolus9248 interesting
Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this.
I listen to this song when my feelings are fading away, at least it calms me 👍
I thought I was :(
Your spirit animal ~Autistic Mouse
:)
Wow, this guy nailed it
This piece makes me mad.... So much rage....love you chopin
please do more videos
they sounds great
I want to play this one day.
I like the new theme :)
I like the key of c minor
Sonja Fitz do you have absolute pitch?
Sebastian Berg
you don't need perfect pitch to know a key
*especially when the notes are on the screen so you can figure out what key the notes are in*
THE Jake360 lmao
Geoff Reeves
yee
THE jake360 hahahahaha
I love to sitting down at the piano, holding/eating food with my right hand, and playing the left hand part to this piece... Enjoying two things at once haha
In all seriousness though, I'm loving learning this piece along with Rachmaninoff's 4th Musical Moment because I can do something else like eating with my dominant hand while playing this with my left hand
how do you make synthesia look and sound so good? i really would like to know
It sound so good because pianist playing it.His name is Mikhail Mordvinov
0:38 what is that
Indeed, it's supposed to be an octave not a single note
It is, if you listen closely
Brian Cho NOT if you listen closely, if you would take the time to read the music, it is clearly octaves played as notated :/
Nuuu yes
If the yellow is intermediary, imagine the purple.
Haha. I have a question. I noted that some notes are in a good harmony. Do you have someone playing while the notes are showing in some program? I mean, it doesn't like a program is playing that. There's too many expretion.
+Bustter Shiro My comment was deleted for some reason. In any case, you are correct! This was played by a real pianist named Mikhail Mordvinov. This MIDI is from his participation in the International piano-e-competition.
+pianoREADER Man, the new visuals are astounding! Great work! I also like the sound of the difficulty scale
Why the initial part looks so much with your best nightmare that flowey battle in undertale
This is amazing
Parabéns pela interpretação, e gostei desse tema.
K
This is one of the few pieces I know of where the left hand is more active than the right hand
Those who plans to do this
I would say it is doable , it is just that making it fast is the whole problem
The left hand is pretty much the same, the fingerings r repetitive, just different notes. Same goes to winter wind
But then again, who am I to say, I cannot play as fast as this vids OR other legends, but at least an experience :33
I agreed with you, started learning it a couple of days ago and there isn't a part where you really struggle, it's just hard to play fast. The memorization is not tough at all, I recommend anyone who wants to start playing a Chopin etude to begin with this one or maybe with Op 25 no 1
Simply bad ass.
I think this would be horrible without the left-hand.
Yeah I agree
I think it would be torrible without right one too ...
because the melody switches between right and left hands
No one write music only for one hand... it must be one wholeness.
Tomasz Kędzierski I agree, every piece should be terrible without left hand, I guess ^^
new chopin yesss
0:06: "We'll start a Revolution, we're sick of this oppression!"
0:29: The first wave of Revolutionars was stopped and arrested.
0:39: "This is not going as smoothly as we thought, but we'll do another wave!"
0:46: This is a really intense battle against the authorities, that looked like they'll win, until...
0:52: The second group of Revolutionars got defeated and arrested. They don't know what will happen to them.
1:01: At this point it looks like they'll get killed. The bitternes and the screams can be heard in both hands differently, but it makes really brutal sence together.
1:08: "No, we won't give up. This is the last chance to escape, so let's take it!"
1:14: They met the first group of Revolutionars and are starting again, harder than ever.
1:57: after the first group getting arrested again, the second group managed to finnish the revolution. It's a bittersweet feeling, because thay made a change, but at what cost.
2:20: "Was it really worth it? Our friends died for this."
2:30: "They didn't die for nothing! We won! Take this Germans!"
Tomas Josef don’t you mean Russians?
The uprising was againts russians
I can't stop hearing screams from 0:56 to 1:08 on the left hand ...
when i first listened to this piece, i wasnt expecting the ending to be like that, im slowly getting used to it
Grandioso
Good 👏🏻
I told my self how many years i can play this?!?!
Time runs out i could say that
And this peace is cramping my mother left hand
Upload the Ocean Etude, nice video, the revolucionary and the ocean etudes suposed to have a relationship :)
a relation ship,get it? xD
a relationship based on the fact that they are both hard as fuck
Unknown Pianist ah shit
angelhardy100 all op.10 etudes are related, for example raindrop etude is a opus 10, revolutionary etude is a opus 10, ocean etude is a opus 10, and 6/7 others opi
Anime Geek ocean etude is op. 25....
Voll coool
1:40 my favorite
Aren't the additional 2 notes in the LH on 0:10 a mistake? My sheet doesn't show these 2 notes and doesn't seem like Rousseau plays them either(performed by Tae seung park).
Its a recording from a pianist
The performer had a slip basically he messed up. We all make mistakes even the masters do.

Even though this is only considered average of Chopin's etudes, for someone who's only started playing the piano as an adult I have to say this is incredibly difficult.
Ahh yes, Chopin was also thinking about left handed people!
Well... Im left handed but this is quite hard to play for me
@Angela Merkel yeah true, I can do it but not fast like you said
In the beginning the is not supposed to be a delayed start it supposed to be tied together
I wanna see someone switch the hands were the right does what the left does
I think i could do that you just have to think of good fingering
Well, I can play with the right hand, I think I'm satisfied...
SWKNU!!!!!
Alexander Hill hey not everyone knows what that meant, Check your privilege
1:07
When i hear this song i picture a sinking ship
15 notes a second
All hail the great romantic
Chopin never saw Poland again. Thats why he wrote this song
2:30
At 0:22 the left Hand Part looks like the Middle Finger
just thinking if chopin had really played this etude
This is been a really nightmare for my hands omg
Iae mano. Blz?
I can only dream of doing the right hand alone😂
It's kind of!!!
isnt this in or part of fantasie impromptu?
k thanks
Luckily I’m a lefty. Although it’s not lucky cause now I have to play all *THAT*
My firsf time
Now everybody knows what was the Indiana Jones' music inspired by.
Excellent; sounds like the theme of Indiana Jones but in minor.
I see france revolution from this song
Sometimes I think Chopin invented black MIDI before everyone else, that one's you can actually play but still is impossible for novices
Comment if you think this sounds a lot like Beethovens Appassionata sonata movement 3.
It does actually.
Chopin actually imitates a part of Beethoven sonata No 32 into this etude
Establishment of the Socialist Republic of Chopin. 1924, colorized.
Evgeny kissin
this is such a nightmare
I like being left handed now. Also is odd that I’m 5 months in to piano and can play this?
Lūnār Official You’re either lying about 5 months into the piano or ASIAN
Or white with along lost ancestry who’s Asian.
It's been 2 years, what is the hardest piece you can play now?
Catherine, anyone? No? Okay, just me then😭
The final battle...
ok so i can play the first like 15 seconds in normal speed, as soon as i need to play with right hand too it slows down and im currently learning the double octave arpeggio thing that sounds like you are a badass guy . pretty nice (2 months of practice(not regularly just for fun tho))
Of coarse the wolf can fly
Lent
F
I think Chopin has 8 hands
Sorry Chopin but I dont have 10 fingers
Who here are the OGs that heard this in Tom and Jerry?
is the guy who played this fucking racing someone? jesus...
I think you have to be more precise with the notes of that tutorial , becouse a lot of people dont want read scores, and read this kinde of video, but is full of mistakes
sometimes to slow sometimes to fast
Freaking Weeb that's called a rubato
This is riddled with wrong notes :/
dan sturidge Probably because an actual human played this and not a machine.
This piece just sounds too shallow. Kind of disappointing.
Christian Panjaitan Actually not at all.
This performace or the peice? Many people play this peice focusing more on speed and accuracy then dynamics that may be why its shallow to you.
you so cheated you use the app synthesia and you play it auto
