  • Raghav Kohli and his father welcomed me into their home and shared their record collection both for sale and private. See some great historical records and hear them share about this history of India and vinyl records. Plus subscribe to TheVinylGuide.com podcast. cheers!

Dum Dum is a place in Kolkata and the first record pressing plant started there in the early 30s or so during the British era.

Nice showing Nate, appreciated the tour and info. That taxi or guide, if he would have wasted my time like that, he would have gotten some US NorthEast bitterness. Oh that would have burned me up. But, it is part of their culture. Glad you still kept that segment in. Very nice to see the Dum Dum collection. This research sort of proves how non RnR the country is. It is probably netter in Mumbai.

Delhi isn’t in rajasthan. It’s in the state of Haryana but considered a union territory
