I grew up on Beaumont Crescent and was next door neighbors with the Twomeys for 13 years I just saw this video clip and noticed the comment about BC and it brought back a lot of memories.

We have had so many changes in Ireland, since this clip was filmed. However' I think a Cha and Miah comedy duo could still work. They could talk about heaps of topics now' such as local radio stations' the resession' television chanells' mobile phones, computers and the modern music industry..

I remember a recent skit where they commented on the marriage of William and Kate-i.e. Kare FROM Midleton.

Just to prove that there wasnt much on the tv in Ireland in the Eighties this "comic" duo were one of the highlights!! Youngsters nowadays with extensive social media do not know how lucky they are not having to be spoonfed this shite!!

True, though in fairness it's not much better now. The words RTE and comedy never did go well together.

A timeless comment. People will still be saying it about your kind in thirty years.

@@bfc3057 In a bad mood when I made that comment. I found it funny at the time I will admit. I suppose when you hear any joke or joking methodology over and over it becomes tiresome. Ant and Dec are probably the Geordie version of that tried and tested chummy spiel.
Great statue of the Cork duo outside County Hall.
Watching it for its nostalgia value. Mum and Dad loved them!
