Niall Toibin was being prophetic when he said that ordinary Dubliners were becoming an endangered species. Sadly in 2022 the situation has only got worse.
@@terencemulvey778 My comment meant that the Dubliners were also gone. Sure I know that Niall Toibin was Cork true and true. i love his humour, his delivery of jokes. He made a story of every joke. We miss him
Just a fun fact on him: Neil had directed a play in 1997 called "Scenes of salvage" And my mother had played one of the main characters- And you can try look up that play but it's gone, kinda creepy tbh
That apparently is the fake Father Brian D'arcy. A man who always wants to get his face on camera. Loves being a "celebrity" priest, and was the reason why the late Dermot Morgan played a character called Father Trendy on Irish television, long before he played Father Ted on Channel 4. Father D'arcy has some good aspects about him, he is a liberal priest, far more liberal and welcoming than the other scum clergy in his church. However he has an ego, loves publicity, enjoys the limelight.
After 40 years I made this video about one of the countries that I Love the Most… Ireland. My daughter just visited the Green Emerald last week and that was my driver to make this video!!! If I have to mention two events that marked my life while in Ireland … Taking part in Saint Patrick’s Parade was one of them and secondly to be invited to the Late Late Show magically conducted by the best TV presenter I ever met! Gay Byrne!!! With my most sincere and warm feelings for my friends in Ireland! May this New Year bring Health and Happiness to All Irish people!!
