EarthQuaker Sessions Ep. 27 - Dead Meadow "Nobody Home" | EarthQuaker Devices

- Dead Meadow lay down a thumping and soulful arrangement from their most recent album "The Nothing They Need" on Xemu Records. If filth on a pedalboard is a testament to how much a band tours, these guys have probably been to the moon and back. Maybe further. And if you have ever seen them live, you know that this is a no frills rock n' roll outfit capable of some serious boot scootin' psychedelic profundity that sends the audience into distant realms.
This EarthQuaker Session intros with a Data Corrupter/Hoof Reaper meshing with Organizer on bass guitar. Have you tried it? Have you gotten all octaved out? DO IT. Crank this one through your favorite stereo system, crack open a wine cooler, and put your hammock to work. Summer is near.

An Earthquaker band if there ever was one. Great partnership of an amazong band and a great pedal maker.
RIP....
Great capture on the incredible tone of the guitar and bass.
I saw them live (in 2001?) opening for Fugazi in Pittsburgh and am still loving that first album. Jason’s unique sound is still there in this recording…the kind that makes you wonder “how did he get the guitar to do that?!!” I don’t need to copy it myself, but man I’ve enjoyed what these guys share. Realizing it’s been for more than 20 years now…time flies.
Thank you for sharing.
One of their best songs.
RIP
these guys fuckin whip
fuck yeah
🙏
Can you guys post the entire session? Great recording.
thanks! this is what we got
is it just me or do you guys also want to clean your pedal board just watching this vid? damn i love this band and drank with them until next morning on a tour but Steve doesn't need to drown his pedals in mud to get his sound.
