Some of it does kind of seem staged. The guy says to be careful with the wire, but then just stands there and lets the reporter trail it around the tower just perfectly to bring it down with a little tug? He stood by and said nothing while the reporter was very obviously looping the wire around the tower and moving away. If he really was serious about protecting the tower, he would have yelled at the reporter, pushed him back, and grabbed the mic from him LONG before he could have wrapped that wire around the tower like that. If I had made that tower I would have had a fence around it to keep people at least six feet away at all times, and this guy just gives a ham-handed camera crew unfettered access? Plus, the 'reporter' did seem like a very unconvincing actor just pretending that he was a clumsy oaf.
