    I take some of the loose grass, dirt, scatt from a burn circle and use it on a different set as my attractant. Always carry a zip lock and you have a great containers for this stuff.

    Great video! I could watch this all day. Quick question! Being a rookie trapper do I need to dye and wax my traps on a annual basis? Or once I die and wax them are they good for a few years? Again great video:-)

      Don't get caught up in Scent Control. bed trap tight, have a good bait in the hole and show patience and you will catch them. A coyote or another animal is going to know you were there, so don't over think the set.

    17:57 kind of ironic that "Mountain Man" bait is made with "prairie" dog. Shouldn't it have elk? Or MOUNTAIN goat?
    😂 I'm joking, of course.
    I always enjoy your predator trapping vids.

      We only use our baits and lures for our sets but there are many on the market that will work in most all situations. Good Luck.

      @ in your opinion what makes a good bait? What makes your bait better or more worth to buy

    • @NorthAmericanTrapperTV
      @NorthAmericanTrapperTV  2 месяца назад

      @ There are a lot of good baits on the market. The Mountainman value comes from all of the different ingredients that make up the bait. The Prairie Dog, the Angus, the Poultry plus the essential oils included gives it the value and thousands of catches under its belt.
      Our value on our DP bait comes from the saturation in the Pure 100% Crawfish Oil soak. The sweet essence from the Magnet combined with the pungentness of the Coonbuster Crawfish essence is a deadly combination. Also 1000’s of coons caught on these baits over the last four years attest to this. All the best. 🐾
