  • After a failed attempt to traverse the ridge spanning Mount Hellen and Father Dyer Peak, I returned to the Crystal Creek Basin to attempt Father Dyer via its much easier East Ridge. The ultimate goal of both hikes was to attain the summit of Crystal Peak and Complete the Colorado Centennials within the Tenmile Range.
    Beginner resources:
This video is not meant to be used as a purpose guide for Fater Dyer Peak's East Ridge, rather it can be used as a general resource to get an idea of what kind of terrain you may encounter on the ridge. In this video, I don't provide adequate tips for someone new to class 3 terrain to use this video solely as a resource to climb this route. Please use the links below, these are the same resources I used when I was new to mountaineering and provide adequate information for newcomers to the mountains to climb with confidence and safety. Always enter the mountains at your own risk and remember you are ultimately responsible for your decisions. Have a great day!

Pretty cool trifecta Danny! I watched the Pacific-Atlantic -Quandary video before and went for it. Did Crystal-Pacifico-Atlantic from Mayflower TH, it was fun!
    Happy trails brother!

Father Dyer was my first real scramble. I've taken some friends up there now so I have done it three times. Really fun. But the reason I am writing is to voice my opinion to people who have not done it about how your film makes it look much more scary than it is.
