This map would benefit a time cycle. When it's day light all the fog clears and the whole map is open to you but when it's night you revert back to og tranzit
The fog is only there to cover up the fact that the map is still loading in but if they did version they should totally do that
@@jackparrish1221 its also there for balance reasons. If there were no fog/denizens you would be able to train around the map indefinitely and the zombies would just never be able to catch you. The map would just be way to easy.

@@bababla8528 I wouldn't say Tranzit is hard, even compared to die rise, but even still, just an ugly Map, love it, but it's ugly as all get out, and the denizens are annoying because they spawn infinitely, there should be a proper stunt for their spawn rate
@@spuhgeddy2971 denizens are mostly avoidable but also yeah, I'm a gen z so I'm not used to playing the old games, world at war definitely had the hardest maps but I'd say it's a different cod era to black ops 2. BO2 fits in more with the modern era cod's and is hard by my standard because bo3 is my standard which is considered easy.
I remember first playing this as a kid and never thought it was a “bad” map. I just thought it was insanely difficult.

This was a map that was terribly made, but this was also a map that also make tons of memories. Friends screaming while running though fog, camping on the bus together , celebrating when you emped the lighting boss.
I personally loved this map. It was something that was really hard and a challenge! It's also just really fun to do with friends on a Saturday night!
Also when your friends closed the door in your face as the bus is leaving😂
The worst feeling is when your running to get on the bus at the last second and your buddy shuts the door on you...

Tranzit was the only zombie map I had for BO2 at the time we couldn’t really afford other maps let alone the internet..so growing up I really got attached to this map in my opinion with the fog, lava, and denizens made it a lot more scary, literally the lava and fog fit for the “end of the world” feeling. The corn field will forever scare me, tranzit for being so bad I absolutely love it for being bad and I still hope they remake it in the future.
the idea for the map is so good but it was just made so badly. hope they remake it and change it a bunch, the long distances was too far and the denizens are the fucking worst

The map was fun as hell as a kid and everybody who “hates” it’s definitely have fond memories on the map😂 Niggas only hate it cuz it’s cool to hate it now that we all grown. Every map has its bugs but Tranzit is still one of the only maps of its kind to this day, and I played all the zombies maps. Including that bullshit open world one on Cold War.

Transit was my friends and I’s favorite map because we were like 10, we didn’t watch cod videos and we didn’t understand what all the perks did. We had the greatest time riding the bus and just casually playing. I really love transit just for the nostalgia value.

Transit DESERVES a second chance, wether it's a remake or a sequel. It had a lot of weird quirks that held it down but I really think they could make an amazing map expanding on it.
They should give transit a second chance, they should remake it for bops 4 in the vision they already had but couldn't complete, since now we have better software and consoles. I would love to see transit completed, fully.

This map had so much potential, loved the idea of traveling from location to location. Loved the idea of these hidden areas in the fog. Dont get me started on the whole "easter eggs" from back then when we thiught there would be a route b, could've been so amazing to actually take a different bus route and get another location. The execution was just awful.
Loved this map!! Got to round 40 with a group of randoms!! I dont know if you guys know this but if you go into the fog and stand under a street lamp with a denizen on you, they'll jump off and make a portal that will teleport you to a random location.

The fucking thing broke within seconds of using it when that happened I was absolutely screaming this piece of shit took so fucking long I'm not taking the piss here it took 3 or 4 rotations and a long trek in the fucking aids fog with the creepy denezins creeping on me all that for a piece of shit weapon that is by far the worst buildable in zombies cause fun fact for you its insanely hard to do this solo unless you dont mind going to Nacht on your own

Remove the fog and denizens
Make the lava do less damage
Give players the ability to send the bus off anytime they want
Instead of the Jet Gun breaking, just give it a cool down
And you have one of the best zombies maps.
Nah pack a punch is still a pain in the ass to setup, plus lack of wall buys
Couple extra ideas:
Instead of the turbine thing for pack a punch just have fuse boxes along the route that have to be switched on
Call boxes for the bus that activate when power is on, and the ability to tip the driver to make him go faster or leave immediately
Have fog only until power is on except in corn fields, but instead of denizens just have dogs spawn in the fog
Extra buyable areas
An extra area along the train tracks(you can see the silhouettes of an area in the map)
Umm dumb ass u can’t remove the fog because the engine can’t handle it, it will crash without the fog

Another idea: shorten the fucking roads. Make them like 20% length. A small trek, but not a fucking journey.
This map is, and always will be, amazing. I love this map, easily top 5 favorite maps.
This map was gonna have so much to it and was gonna be great especially when bus route B was gonna be a thing, but due to hardware limitations at the time it became a slow foggy mess, and honestly I sort of love it.
The reason I like tranzit is because of how bad and nostalgic it is. Seriously we all hated this map but we are still going back to play it to this day.

Tranzit scared me a lot for no reason, all the other cod zombies were good but BO2 zombies in general gave me this eerie scared feeling when i played it at night with my cousins.
avogadro was scary, and the animation of denizens grabbing your face is terrifying for me as a kid, the only thing closest to that feeling i can think of is like looking at uncanny images of bugs or distorted analog horror faces (when they were still new)

@@bigfrxgz5207 just depends on how you play it, the pacing of having to get on the bus and not just sitting still was very fun and there were great moments with friends that just can't be beat today. It didn't matter about the gameplay it was just fun

This map is one of my favourites simply because of the amount of memories I have with it.
I'll never forget trapping people outside of the bus as they get swarmed by about 20 zombies trying to get in.
Or knifing the bus driver in an attempt to get everybody inside of the bus kicked out in the middle of nowhere.
If any map deserves a remake it's Tranzit. Just imagine if the map wasn't such cancer because of technical limitations.
@@ndy8463 you didn't 'need' the bus though, the denizens I think should stay, there apart of what makes tranzit special the fog could stay but have a new mechanic of being lifted around round 14 or when you complete the Ee

as someone who spent most of my life with tranzit as the only map i had access to and spent most of that time just doing bus depot survival because i hate the bus with every fiber of my being, you gain a sense of appreciation for the little nice things in this map. It also made me a much better player because of how absurdly difficult and random it was and how much it kicked you directly in the testacles.
Loved Town from Black Ops 2. The entire layout was perfect for survival. I admittedly never could finish the entire green run, but I'd play Town survival all day.
Man transit was sick I miss the bo1 bo2 era of zombies

Clicked it and boom immediately confused then loved the hell outta the concept of leaving friends behind on a bus in an apocalyptic bus while you get better guns the ultimate prank map for noobs to get left on miss 2012 too much

Tranzit was my first zombie map and even tho it is flaw it my favorite zombies map.
I was just a kid but i have so many priceless memories on this map with old friends of mine, as well as town and whatever the farm one was called, i forget, its been years now. I cannot hate any of these maps.
I remember when Treyarch announced Tranzit as a "Zombie Campaign" with different maps interconnected back in 2012...

I love this map. My first experience with zombies... And the next 1000 experiences. So much laughing and sore stomachs from playing this. Some of the best craic.
I've always loved this map despite it's initial difficulty. It's the only scary map till this day. Getting lost in the fog while getting attacked and chased was madness. Once you know about the knuckles for the fogglings, teleportation and the bank your set. Fun Fact that most people don't realize is that in the Night of the living dead remake the main guy talks about these locations once he gets to the farm. He was at a diner when things happened and the town was overrun so he went to the farm. Getting left or split up is always like "Billy NOOOOOOOO Billyeeeeee" then later Billy pops out of the fog and kills the train that was about to chew on your tired ankles while you reload your last clip. This just can't be recreated in any other map. Especially when you got two separate hordes coming to town so you try and hold out because Billy says he's on the way with the Ghetto-way bus, its just fantastic & fun. I love the bus hahaha. The only thing wrong with transit is that it was the only map to play for a long time, especially if you couldn't afford the other maps. Transit is great and deserves a remake.

Respectfully, Nacht Der Untoten and Verrückt are much scarier maps.

Young kids that didn’t see or care to pay attention to all the little details and just played, loved the map, all the older guys that played that paid attention to the shitty details and were critical about it hated it. Personally before I saw this video I never saw a problem with tranzit but I still like it

Just because you can have fun and enjoy a map doesn’t mean it has no flaws and isn’t bad, you can have fun and love any map like that.
Same when I first stared watching RUclips videos I was so confused why people hated so much the only flaws I could really notice is that pac a punching is annoying and there is no gun on town
Really late to the show, but me and my buddies loved this map. I honestly think it was one of the favorite ones I've been able to play. I loved running through the fog. It was fun, especially with the galvaknuckles(?) Idk on the spelling

The developers said there was a hidden Easter egg nobody found yet, so everyone assumed there was some hidden route , wow memories.
Im late too, but yeah, the absolute hype for this game and this map was so extreme, and then like it dropped and the story was fucking bangin and the online was fuckin awesome but the zombies? That shit was ass. Like for real black ops 2 really killed zombies for me. It stopped being high round friendly and became objective based and shit. Dont get me wrong, that shit is fun, but it just really became too much like research into the shit to actually do with a couple friends past round like 15 and have fun still doing.

I never got the whole “the fog had to be there because of last gen consoles” Battlefield 3 (which came out a year before BO2) had maps 2-3 times the size of Tranzit and were rendered beautifully.
More or less the fog had to be there for the setting and map to be right. Can it get annoying? Yeah, but the fog is a big part of the map, and the map wouldn't be the same without it
@@NorsGold Same wit the Denizens. They were in for not only for training out the areas to prevent you from cheating on high rounds, but to slow you down so that the engine wouldn't crash.
It might be because zombies was only a small part of the game. Im sure if it was able to take every piece of hardware on the disc it could have been removed but I’m not sure.
Really late and I'm sure you don't care anymore, but I think it was limited by the game's engine itself, I'm certain it was mostly optimized for multiplayer, which had small, quick maps to render. BF3 had an engine that took their large maps into account, BO2 just didn't have the right engine for what they wanted.
@@walkerallen425 Well for Zombies, they had Nuketown as a bonus map which can be handled the right way, Tranzit on the other hand is bigger (way bigger than Origins).
I had some of the best memories playing this map with my cousin and uncle, Transit will always be a top 5 map to me
I mean honestly I love this map. It isn't the nostalgia or gameplay, it is the atmosphere for me. It makes me feel like it really is a run down earth during the apocalypse. I know most people hate it but I love it
I still have my packed Galil in the fridge, almost 4 years of it being in there, I don’t like to take it out unless I’m doing a serious game

I didn't realize it was the most hated map until I started watching more zombies content recently. I always liked it. Lol I remember thinking it was so cool when I first got this game in high school. I was so blown away with how big it was.
Tranzit could be more bearable if we added a system where you pay ted to go to the next location instead of ted driving all over the map with or without players

I love how people claim transit is one of the most hated maps when literally people talk about its positives when it is brought up, it's one for the most wanted maps to be remastered, and its one of the most talked about zombies maps ever

I remember convincing my brothers to build the jet gun. We were so psyched up. And then we were like, "Where did it go?"

they should remaster tranzit. make the jet gun a good wonder weapon, remove the denizens, make tge map smaller, make farm bigger, give town weapons, dont remove lava but maybe dont add so much so ur not fighting zombies while playing hop scotch and make the graphics better. the consoles are more advanced and way better than last gen so a remaster wouldnt be any problem

@@thatmoron9553 if you mod a single player game no one give a fuck. its wen you start affecting other enjoyment for your own by modding that it becomes an issue. i remember playing dead island back in the days and modder would come around either fuck with you(making you leave since they just spawned killed you with nades) or drop you a ton of weapons that would one shot anything so that kills the fun of it for most ppl. general rule should be to not do to other what you dont what to be done to u. dont come around killing my boner for a game because being "edgy" and pissing ppl off is funny.

Swiftblade if you wanted challenge you would play five. everything is cramped up and small and half the map is just not viable to camp OR train. transit is just frustrating, not difficult. it's laughably easy to survive in transit in either bus depot or town.

TranZit is low-key good once you get used to the map mechanics and design, but in my opinion Carrion (the ee song) is the best part of it

-don't know about the shortcut to town
-don't know how to teleport
-don't know how to get galvanuckles
-don't know how to open pack a punch
I’ve just learned how to get the pack a punch for Tranzit 10 years after the game came out. You’re a life saver.
Only negative thing I have negative against Transit:
You ever been caught in street light/teleporter limbo. Back and forth between two or three spots.
My God that was irritating
When you want to go to town, you teleport to bus depot.
When you want to go to bus depot, you teleport to town.
Tranzit could get a remake with various upgrades like no fog
More features in the bus like more weapons
A Easter egg
A better boss fight
Hell hounds
A better wonder weapon or basically one that doesn't gets destroyed
This map can really improve with a remake with upgrades
By the way, Hellhounds were going to be in Tranzit as an Ambush round (where riding the bus was originally too dangerous.)

Pro tip when you hear the denizens screech turn around aim and it should lock onto the denizens, then shoot them and carry on your way, I know from experience since this is one of my favorite maps in bo2

When i was 10 i didnt really care about anything. Played splitscreen with my friend and brother and we had so much fun just surviving until like round 15 and dying.
I made it my hold out spot, that and the spot between bus stop and town

Biker Kino is the worst map in Zombies and TranZit is a top 17 (Including remakes and the non-Treyarch maps.)
Heres the things i like about Tranzit:
1) Ok so the bus is a cool concept, getting to point A to point B a little bit more easier.
2) Zombie Shield (obvious reasons)
3) I did like the characters were ok?
4) they did bring Nacht Der Untoten back (kinda)
Things that need fixing:
1) Denizens shouldn't spawn too much and should give you a small portion of points.
2) Need to get rid of some lava areas.
3) make the jet gun UNBREAKABLE OR ACTUALLY USEFUL TOO!
4) more survival maps.
5) bring the Hellhound round to Tranzit.
6) BUS STOPS AT DESTINA AND STAYS UNTIL PLAYER COMMANDS THE DRIVER!
7) make the fog bearable.
8) turn on power = open Pack-a-Punch.

Transit was one of the only maps me and my friends played, it was a journey every time getting to pack a punch, we’d hold out in that little cabin or on top of the bus for as long as we could, shut the doors on each other so they have to run through the fog and get face fucked by denizens, ah good times.

I'd prefer them to reimagine it. Add new features and places, make some changes. Most importantly, change the wonder weapon to be an actual wonder weapon.

@@vsauce4319 Tranzit, Die Rise and Buried where all planned to be put in BO4, but that game sold like shit so they would be cutting their profits if they put them in that game, so they are putting them in the next game.
Usually, maps age pretty well. The longer we have them available, the more we figure out the hidden nooks and crannies, and slowly realize the beauty beyond the chaos. Think of something like shangri-la. It's funny how this is the complete opposite. The longer we can play it, the more flaws and nonsense we find.
Ok, this is my favourite map in the zombies franchise. Its so unique and there are so many different features from what everyone is used to but I still find this map really fun
The only way to have fun on this map, is with four players

Dying at high rounds is a death sentence on this map, because you need to run 5 minutes to get Jug back.

@@fujikoalfonso7448 BOTD sucks just because of the mechanical difference between how the core game works in bo2 and bo4, and some of the changes they made are aids. Classifieds def the best launch map. IX is actually pretty fun too, probably cuz it doesn't feel masdsive so you don't have to teleport everywhere. I've barely played DLC 2 but it seems at least okay. DLC 1 is fun but repetitive.

Bo4 is good but the thing is that most players are oh from like bo1. So most people hate how different it is but I’m relitivly new to the game, I was like 8 when I first played zombies and it was a blast with my brother. I go into the game on bo2 but did really get into its a lot until bo3 so bo4 is just different but I don’t really mind the fact that the game is different bc it’s still good and adds a lot of customization to the game which is always good. I understand why people hate it but I’m really hopeing zombies chronicles comes out on bo4 because it will be a remaster but it will be different due to the perk system and stuff like that. Also ancient evil and ix are the only good maps on bo4 and people hate on them because their in the chaos story but that doesn’t mean shit there still good maps that provide a lot of replay ability
All I know is, I'll never forget playing in the diner section when all of a sudden, I hear from my random teammate's mic "You need to take a fucking shower! It's been 3 days!"
Nothing beat the suspense of missing the bus and slaying zombies praying to God you could last until your homies got back around on it. Maybe terrible to some one of the best memories I have of zombies personally.
One major issue with this map is the fact that when you go down, and you are in an entirely different section of the map, you are basically screwed cause there is almost no chance that someone else could get there in time

They tried to remedy this with Tombstone but of course, they botched that up too.

Ive made some clutch saves woth teleporters.
If your team is placed right all three other players should be hitting teleporters

At this point, having played the map so many times, I’ve learned to overcome the many obstacles and design flaws, I never hated this map, I found it frustrating a lot but I always thought it was fun to play, especially split screen.
I personally love Tranzit and play it to this day. Yeah, it was never finished or polished off, but they still did a pretty great job on what's there. The story behind Tranzit and the easter eggs are actually pretty cool. A polished remaster would be EPIC.

for me this map is still my favorite, i loved it, no matter what. everytime i went to my cousins i asked if we could play tranzit and played for hours
I always liked the map cause it was really challenging, but yea it has flaws. I hope if they do a remaster of Black ops 2 they make a Tranzit 2.0 with the new hardware available
I remember, back during my freshman year of high school, I was getting bullied by this dude who weighed like 200 pounds more than me (I was like 115 at the time). It was the last period of the day, and he kept punching me in the shoulder because he sat right next to me. I cussed him out, everyone in the room literally froze and just stared. I was and am still known for being very quiet and socially awkward due to my anxiety, so everyone was shocked.
I walked to my place with my friend that day, not saying a word. He knew I was beyond pissed, so we didnt talk. Just chilled without saying a word. We eventually started playing splitscreen on Tranzit. We played with no communication.
We got to the power station area. The avogadro was annoying us, and next thing we know, the avogadro just decides to randomly slide down into the huge pit near tombstone. I looked straight down, and we saw him flashing away down there.
My friend and I just looked at each other, and busted out laughing.
Good times. I love Tranzit.

I loved Tranzit for what it was. Definitely the best memories with all my old buddies trying to work together and figure everything out.
The only two maps i play is Town and Tranzit (because thats all i own). But I would love to see a remaster of this map (texture revamp and stuff)

playing online and having someone shut the door on you as the bus is leaving is the most Savage thing on this map.
