I'm so sorry for your loss, it's hard to lose anybody but losing your Mum is the hardest I think. So I'm glad you had that last holiday, with lots of laughs and happy memories to look back on. I lost my Mum in May 2021, and it's the happy times that keep you going. xx

What a lovely memento of your dear Mum and a great tribute to her. This really struck a chord with me, on the day you lost your Mum I was in the hospital watching my dear Dad slowly fade away and he died the very next day 😢. We talk to him all the time and continue to include him in everything we do, in fact the whole family just took a trip yesterday to celebrate his birthday. I think in this way we keep our loved ones close, they are never really gone. I'm sure you take comfort in knowing your Mum was cherished and you made so many great memories together. Here's to hoping it gets easier to bear 🙏
Ahh Ruth, This is heartbreaking news, I’m so sorry about the loss of your dear Mum. She sounds like a wonderful human being with a very kind heart, a wise lady who knew exactly who her best friend was & she clearly had a deep love for Him. I read your description & I understand. My first ever prayer was said aged thirteen in desperation (I knew He would hear me as I’d grown up witnessing my own Mum’s strong faith)the very next day my prayer was answered & somebody I wanted to go away died of natural causes & a nightmare ended. I don’t go to church but I know Him & I love Him too. I love that your Mum was smuggling Bibles into Albania, damn she was a brave one for sure & I so admire that. Who knows what seeds were planted from any of those fearless travels & I can only think that good came from them & lives were changed. I support a little charity called Open Doors who do similar work. Ruth, your heart must ache right now & the loss will feel so enormous. I lost my Mum in 2018 aged 83 & it’s the one loss that has never got easier to bear as my circle is tiny, through choice, as I am an introvert & lead a very quiet life. What a blessing though that you had such a wonderful Mum & in turn she had a wonderful daughter in you. Sincerley sorry to hear of you losing your Mum, especially after a challenging time for her. It must seem so hard now, but things will get better but won't be the same. You'll have some lovely memories that will help you cope. I lost my Mum suddenly 10 years ago. It was hard to deal with, especially living over here and having to dash back. But I found I was lucky to be surrounded by a handful of those special people who dropped everything to help us deal with things. You will see who cares, so lean on them because those are the ones that matter. Sadly in these cases there are always those who care too, but don't know what to do.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. We lost my Mum on 2nd May, similar kind of story only it was old age (92) and complications arising from CCF and hospital acquired Pneumonia. Sending you lots of love and virtual hugs for this sad time xxx

It is so hard losing mums. My mum died last August at the age of 95 but at the end it was very sudden.
