    2:57 about being to the side slightly helping to see the balls movement better is a total game changer. Thanks for saying it out loud. I’ve never heard someone explain it like that and I’m grateful for that.

    My 6 year old does a lot of these drills with his infielding coach and he definitely more fluid. Getting the left foot timing with the catch isn’t quite there but the right left gather and throw on point.

    Is that fielding only for second and shortstop? Third base is the hot corner so usually u don’t have time to even love right ???

    Sorry Dad coach here. Line drill for lefty? He goes other side right?

    • @nc3659
      @nc3659 Год назад +2

      Lefty's don't play in the middle infield so this drill doesn't apply to them:) For flips to pitcher or LHP to 1B..."yes -other side"

      Just because a lefty "doesn't play" middle infield doesn't mean they shouldn't practice these drills. Yes, just reverse everything. Up to age 12, there are still southpaws who play middle infield and 3rd base. I know. Craziness. Ha. I actually even have seen 3 lefty catchers playing in 18U travel tournaments this summer. These are drills that are easy enough to be geared for ages 7 to 18. Thanks, John Madden, @yougoprobaseball, for all the shared knowledge with so many different great coaches. Don't be hatin' on us lefties. Food for thought. Why are there so many lefty baseball coaches at all levels? 🤔

    Good drills. Too much talking and explanations. Just do the drills continuously and talk while you go. No need to explain that balls are set up three paces apart, we can see that. Thanks for the drills these are helpful
