That's the one that's over on 35th east of Harley-Davidson. I remember when it was torn down and rebuilt just to close again because they had rats and roaches ☝🏽
Yes I remember that one
35th and Highland Ave? I think I recognize those two circular apartment complexes, I think they were near or on Highland Ave?
East of Harley Davidson is the lake.... West would be 35th... Also it says N35th and Harley is Southside. Not to mention this isn't an abandoned McDonald's at the end. It was an auto store not even on n 35th...
@@DABDABDONTRUB you’re wrong
@DABDABDONTRUB There is a harley building on 37th and Juneau, west of where this was. The two round towers are on 33rd and Highland
Why does RUclips know where I live? This is the fifth time in the last hour getting a short about Wisconsin and I don’t press the like button or anything
RUclips is Google. You have a phone, right?
Well you sure are making it easy for random people to locate your approximate housing situation
your name is packers7609 and youre shocked by this? google probably knows what brand paper you wipe your ass with
I swear my school is a couple blocks from there
Because these awesome phones that we are constantly on come with a price... our privacy. Google, RUclips, and Facebook all collect data, sometimes even when you're not using the app, including location, photos, audio, ECT. Sure it helps customize your feed, but they also sell it to private marketers and probably the NSA
North side, EVERYTHING is closing down or closed down there. Anyone remember Johnson's Park w the big slide and go karts?
Yep And Bonanza Grand Prix Go Karts sigh
@@stevenpoff9658 the bumper boats ! 😆
@stevenpoff9658 Didn't Johnson park have the big dinosaur? It was on N. 7tl6th before Good Hope, I think.
Wow Milwaukee used to b the shyt smh
Right behind ot was a roller skating rink
I’d leave that area if I was there, too.. so much of Milwaukee has been ruined

My grandma used to live down the street from that McDonald’s. There was a Kohls food store, bank, family dollar and few other businesses on 35th. I had good memories from around that area growing up but now it’s not even worth living over there anymore
We used to do service work for kohl's food stores, we were patching holes in the wooden arch, and someone was taking shots at us. This was in the late 80s, it was already a bad area.
My uncle used to be one of the butchers and later the meat department manager at that Kohl's.
You can live over there if you want to shorten your life span.
@@zany7312 I find your story somewhat disingenuous because in the 80s it was relatively safe over there. There were barely any guns flooded into the city during that time and people wer not bat sh*t crazy like they are today in that cesspool of a city. I call bs on your story.
I used to fall over cars there as a kid not watching forward. Oh....hurt so bad
Yup, I’m a Milwaukee resident and we’re looking more and more like Detroit every day
It's because yall don't know how to act. Between the reckless driving and crime going to Milwaukee is a horrible experience. Can't even go to a McDonald's without seeing a group of black teens being loud and inappropriate or confrontational, or maybe even a drunk bum aggressively asking for money. A total 5hit hole
And who’s making it that way?
@@msshaffer5i believe its @sputnikalgrim
@msshaffer5 black people are making Milwaukee a hell hole. A group of black teens just beat up two 60 plus year olds for trying to break up another fight. They drive recklessly everywhere and are just a giant nuisance at the least.
Depends what part of the city you are in. Manufacturing is definitely a thing of the past in most the US.
Still live over here and it’s getting worse no hope 😢💯
It is hope bro 🤍
I grew up four blocks from this McDonald’s when I was a kid. My grandmother got mugged on our way back after her and I finished eating there and were walking back to our house. Think I was like 8 years old. Back in 1987 or so. Can’t imagine why this place shut down. 35th St. between Juneau and McKinley.
Apparently there was a rodent problem, I've been looking more into it because this vid says it was still open in 2019 when all my results are saying it closed in 2016 because of the rodents
Right here? I recognized Juneau and just followed it down to 35th

Look at the round buildings , South side . Harley owned that and the gas station Land , same as the rest of the property from the tracks to highland .
My grandma some others lived up the street from there . 35th and Galena there was always shootings . Now there is a school in the location where her house was. There was some good memories there. Like Mac’s candy store and calee’s corner store
I worked there in the early 90’s while attending Alverno college. I’m retiring from 27 years of teaching in MPS. The Kohl’s grocery store, gas station and family Dollar also closed. Yet, Harley Davidson is steadily expanding.
They always got my order wrong anyways

I ordered like a meal for 4 people online walked to pickup half my shit wasn’t in there glad they closed. Pretty sure they closed the BP right next to it too

The Mayor and Police Chief of Milwaukee are good at giving press conferences about how "unacceptable" crime is in Milwaukee...yet do little else to compel enforcement or stiffer penalties. You cannot park a car Downtown, on the East Side, or even at the AMTRAK station without worrying about your car being broken into. And its not this KIA thing that the Mayor wants to blame it on. It is the low life's that no one is allowed to say anything bad about. ALSO. Before closing, this McDonalds was closed several times for health code problems... (rodent infestation).
@@gobbletegook yeah man you said exactly what I'm thinking thank you
Ewwwww
Agreed. The Kia boys, are just kids joy riding. That's what the mayor says. Meanwhile their crime is punished by catch and release. Sad.
People give the new major such a hard time but never held Tom Barrett accountable and he was the mayor for over twenty years. The mayor can’t do everything alone. It take the community too.
I think it has more to do with the district attorneys office not punishing the youth that are taking advantage of the system. I understand some kids make mistakes and need a chance but when it becomes a constant problem there has to be stiffer consequences.
Now do Walmart on silver spring, northridge, hell anything in brown deer.. used to be chi chis, fud ruckers, target, whole damn town vacant

First of all. Harley Davidson just privately built a park for the public across the street. Neighbors are cleaning their yards. Try buying a house in most other cities. Take pride in what you have, no matter how little it may be.
Man seeing my hometown Milwaukee like this is just sad
Why would a mcdonalds closing down make you sad lmao
It's because they're gentrifying the whole area over there like they close down a lot of businesses in the area from 27 to 35th and they're like putting up a little coffee shops and stuff like that so they're gentrifying find the area
@@authanjohnson2483 gentrification definitely sucks. But an international corporation extracting billions from the working class is hard to be worse than. I mean hopefully the new businesses are ran by locals and not wealthy suburban business owners though

My grandparents lived on 28th and Michigan and I attended MHSA on 24th and Highland in the late 80s early 90s.. right before Dahmer was a household name..
One of my friends from high school was a victim of his.. 😢

As much as I love Harley-Davidson, they started the dominos of this chain falling. The factory is across the street from here, and a strip mall. The only store remaining was a Family Dollar, and it was well-patronized in this food desert. HD decided they needed that last storefront for themselves. The BP next door to this was shut down by the city due to alleged criminal activity. Within a couple of years that plus C19, the McD's went. With Family Dollar on 27th near State also gone, the area is even MORE of a food desert now.
