It is a good one off product for getting 7000 plus project management and business templates minus the normal expense. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my old buddy Taylor at last got excellent success with it.

    By leaving Task A open ended...how can Microsoft Project calculate an accurate duration and cost for project?

  • @ddenuci
    @ddenuci 2 года назад

    I've run into an issue, and haven't been able to find a solution so asking here. Using MS Project Online and running Resource leveling, with the following Options set: Manual, Day-by-Day, Level Entire Project. (I always clear leveling before running it). It works very well, with one exception. In the Resource Usage view, there is one resource flagged in red as overallocated. It turns out that this resource is not overallocated on a monthly or even weekly basis. Instead, there is one day where the resource is working 8.15 hours. His calendar is set up for an 8 hour day. Why is this happening? Am i doing something wrong? if not, is there a workaround? I have many resources in this project, and Resource Leveling fixes all the overallocations except for this one case. I've seen variations of this in other project as well. If I try to fix it manually, it usually results in shifting the overallocation to some other day. Being 15 minutes over on one day may not seem like a big issue (it isn't) but the fact that it happens at all has me worried about the Resource Leveling, and/or whether I'm not setting up something correctly

      You can choose what u want to show and hide, from work view from columns tabs in the upper left hide task name , recourse,by click right mouse, and put hide , and same to show what u want, and you can move ghanit chart wich shows tasks lines per day and week by click in the separate column and move it until hide

    • @PaulVesey
      @PaulVesey  4 года назад

      The Critical/Non-Critical status is determined within the software. When we setup predecessors, a critical path is developed. The software just calculates and tracks it for us. Check out 'Critical Path Method' and/or 'AON network diagrams' or 'Precedence Diagrams'
