They don’t have any issues with the caps falling off from what I’ve tested from the Haute42 controllers. The only one known to have caps come off is the G series line up.
Wait a moment, do you need the USB-C pass-through for the PS4 support as well? I thought the GP-2040 CE PCB didn't limit playtime on PS4 to 8 minutes like it does for PS5 support. Aside from this question, great review!
USB Passthrough is done with the USB-A port not USB-C, and yes it is also required for having no time out on the PS4 for all GP2040-CE PCB options. Like the other reply pointed out, you can circumvent the PS4 time out with DualShock 4 Controller keys, however this can be a difficult process and the keys are copyrighted material that cannot be freely distributed.
If I only knew this before ordering a Haute, maybe I'd have time to get a USB pass-through for it, as I play on PS4 😢 Oh well, I'll enjoy my eight minute playtime with it and get a USB key afterwards, haha...
That is the turbo button which can be used for rapid button presses. For games like shootem ups it can be good so you don’t have to press the button for each shot.

yes, and you can also use the authenticated keys of your dualshock, otherwise it will timeout.
