- Another visit to this magical place, hoping to connect with a feisty Sea Trout or two! this year the fishing was tough, the spot I discovered last year didn't produce, so I was lucky to find a few small fish. But my wife helped fix me up with permission to fish another spot, which proved fascinating!
Thanks to the people who granted me permission to fish, free for the asking on 3 separate estates! Also thanks to regular visitor Rob for advice. Really enjoyed my week, walking and a little fishing!
You don't need to catch fish to fall in love with this Island!
lovely place, lovely people!
What a stunning place to fish !
Another lovely video, really captures the trip and why we love fishing 👍
Great video 👍🏻
Doesn't measure up to your angling achievements, but I found a new spot, just hope I can get on again some day as its been sold, new owners in control next year !!??? 👍👍👍
@@soultrader57fishingandmusi25 Great stuff, and thanks, I myself have found a new spot within 10 minutes drive from where I stay, I reckon there is a chance of a big Sea Trout, may have a gander this weekend if weather permits
@@theanglingfront right, I thought you lived on the west coast?
@@soultrader57fishingandmusi25 Yep, near Helensburgh
id guess that little fish has maybe came into fresh to rid himself of lice, some of the sea-trout ive got this year have been riddled but theres little or no water in the rivers for them to get a bit of relief, i digress thou, nice fish in a lovely location 👍👍
There's been a lot of water in those little mull rivers, but in August there's sea trout running the rivers and also sea trout feeding in the estuaries and open coast with no plans to run the rivers, so it's anybodys guess! Thanks, will take a look at your channel too👍
@@soultrader57fishingandmusi25 thats why i love sea-trout so much, its their unpredicable nature that keeps me fishing for them year after year, thanks for replying mate 👍👍
Leader way too light at least 12lbs 15 lb better in the salt water they aint leader shy in the salt
Hmmm - fair enough for streamers but small flies on a stiff thick leader don't fish nicely IMO 👍
