Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

You also have to be able to evaluate equipment like Zack was doing. You don’t want to pay top price on something that is broke or worn out.

I dont know how i stumbled onto your channel, but i just cant stop watching your vids. and im not anything close to being a farmer. half of what you say i dont even understand, but what you do intrigues the hell out of me. i've subbed and will continue to watch your vids until you stop making them.

Happy memories of 50+ years ago going to auctions with my Grandpa. Hotdog with mustard and onion was lunch. I remember buying only one thing - a corn binder. We paid $1 for it because Grandpa wanted the tires off of it for the hay wagon. A bit different today than way back then. Enjoyed the video Zack

In the netherlands auctions arent verry hot,the actioneers take a lot and then you get the taks over that again, befor you know it it became 20 %more expensive

Only 20%? Here VAT at 20% and auctioneers %% on top. Think 30% on hammer price.

Hey Zach we did the same exact thing with the rotary hoe. We actually ended up taking a old cultivator bar and put I believe 5 wheels per row and only tried to touch the strip. After one pass it was just like when you made the strip in the fall. Worked awesome!

Thank you for an excellent video, auctions are a great, bad thing. Great for the seller and hopefully they can make a buck for all of their hard earned work. Bad because it can be a crap shoot on how things sell. Always looking for a sweet spot in which the seller gets a fair price and the buyer get a piece of equipment or commodity that is of good value. Looking forward to the other videos you have coming with this and spring planting is just around the corner.

Makes you wonder who is doing the bidding, is it someone intentionally driving it up. Working for the bidder since they get a percentage or the farmer

@@moneyandtimefreedom3352 Same thing can happen on site, not just limited to online. Watched it happen many times before. Also online bidding is here to stay so people are gonna have to get used to it.

Zach, not sure if you’ll see this but, we run strip till in western MN, and tried the same idea with a rotary hoe you have. First year we noticed it threw trash back onto the strips and weren’t exactly satisfied with it. Ended up taking off half of the wheels so they only ran over the strips and not between also. after that, it worked great! Just an idea if you’re looking for something.
