Flicking through music on u tube came across thus duet :-) Absolutely brilliant beautiul from Dusty and Scott, loved every second! Love my memories of sixties music 🎶
76 is a good run. I just saw an old interview from 2006, where mmm he stated he studied Gregorian chanting after the group broke up. I was a baby during the Walker Brothers heyday, but really cool music.
Scott had in my opinion one of the best voices I've ever heard, certainly my favourite male vocalist. I was lucky enough to see the Walker Brothers twice in the 60's, but sadly heard very little above the screams of the audience. May he rest in perfect peace.
My favourite female singer and favourite male singer. Wow. Sadly both moved on. There will never be a voice like Scott Walkers. He had the looks to go with that incredible voice. Will be so missed. Thanks for the beautiful music Scott.
@@susanmcavoy9213 My sister is a Sudan, too, born in the summer of 1960. 61 years ago; cannot believe it. Yes, I had Susan in every school class too back then. And now they all have stupid 'artifivial' names. I loved it so much more back then. The music, the dresses we kids wore, just everything. A few years ago we met a classmate of my sister from primary school, which had been a sweet and calm little girl in the 1960s. And though she has today children, too, she said sad to me' when I see old photos, I always have to think about, how sweet we looked back then, much more than hodsy's children, how cute our dresses looked, our hairdos, just everything, and how sad it is how everything changed', and oh yes, I could not agree more. She was a Petra, an incredible famous name in the 60s. If every class had one Susanne, it had three Petras :) We have tons of old school photos, since my late Mama was a primary school teacher. All is away, the pleaded skirts, the names, the sweet eager little school girls with their cute faces. This makes me so sad. So long ago, and it still seems like just yesterday.
How is it possible they didn't do more together. I never knew they even did a song together. What an incredible duo and a loss that we were never able to get an album from them. Two incredible voices!
@@helenrattue4510 It was recorded 8th May 1968 for the show It Must Be Dusty xxx On checking this out I read that Dusty first started recording the Series Known as It Must Be Dusty way back in 1966 . I take it she mustve made several series spanning several years
Ivan Sanders you’re absolutely right on the nail. This man’s voice was akin to curling up by a roaring log fire on a Winters night with a mug of hot soup to slowly sip. You need only hear one bar and you knew right away it was Scott, I remember this from my youth, I never missed anything Dusty was in, and this was her own show, two of my favorite singers singing one of my fav Everly Brothers songs, and all seemed alright with the world. RIP both of you❤️❤️❤️
When ever I tell folk I remember this song they look at me as if I am mad, Thanks for proving them wrong. I remember seeing this and loving it then I still do . Thanks for letting me hear it again
This song brings back childhood memories of Daddy waltzing me across the living room on his feet - after he'd stood long hours, (often taking overtime to feed nine kids), at work. I never understood how his poor feet must have ached. So smart, he probably could have had so much more out of life if not for supporting his large family. But he always made us feel that we were his wealth, right up to his dying day. Here's to missing you, Daddy. RIP
I would imagine these two would have had to be on opposite sides of the stage whilst performing this charming duet. What with Scott's expressive hand gestures and Dusty's flailing arms, surely they couldn't have finished the tune without knocking each other out. Rest in peace, dear Dusty and Scott.
This man had more Cool than is humanly possible. This is beautiful. All these wonderful voices gone. Thankfully we have the recordings to enjoy and share.
Dig this... somewhere back in the day, there was music playing and I said " this is so cool it could've been Scott Walker " (!) , yes, it was Scott 🌞🎻☮doing a number I'd never heard 🌞
Two of the fabulous big voices of the '60's. l loved Dusty, and the Walker Bros. I had a massive crush on Scott Walker, as a teenager when visiting my granny in the UK in 1966.
I actually remember this duet on Dusty's show. I have often wished that it was captured on video, as I remember it as being a lovely visual treat as well as an audible one. Dear Dusty how we miss her!
@@Muswell Our german tv as well. Old children's tv shows, old serials, nearly everything- just lost. Excellent vocals. Mr. Scott Walker was quite a talent in the UK. He was obscure to most Americans, including me, a guy who listened to Buzzard Radio and bought "Melody Maker" on occasion.
Hi all. Scott and those other two guys had different last names. They picked "Walker Brothers" because they liked the sound of it. They were all born in the United States. It was okay at that time to be a fan of the Stones and the Beatles. It's okay in 2023 to be a fan of Mick or Paul.
this really tugs at the heartstrings and I can't help wondering what the eye contact and body chemistry was between Dusty & Scott ...hopefully a recording of the show will surface

Ray Davies put the sentiment in song at this time in the great Kinks track, Days.
