  • In this video- I'll show you how to make your Jebao DP4 dosing pump a lot more functional. Unlike my GHL doser, the Jebao lacks cloud access. Not to mention it doesn't have a phone app. However, it is only $69.99 vs $459. If you own the Jebao DP4 doser you know exactly how frustrating it can be trying to access the control panel "located on top" of the doser especially if you have limited space under the stand. Mounting the doser in a vertical position makes it much more functional and easier to program. I'll leave links below if you'd like to purchase the floating shelves or the dosing pumps used in this video. Happy Reefing!

How good is the result with the vertical assembly, everything correct?

Yes it works well. I use GHL, recommend RS ReefDose 4. Very easy to set up.

How is the alk usage after the huge coral haul? Very cool dosing mount. I just mounted mine horizontal like the ghl

My numbers were the same for one night. Today it’s already taking a dive. Time to bump the GHL up with one flick of my finger on the phone 📱 app. So super simple. Glad you got yours mounted too. You may be tempted to change it to vertical after watching this video. 😜

i have a dp-5. easy to program and worked great for a year. then pump #1 got stuck ON. overdosed kh. a few months later the same pump failed again. too many corals lost and i can't afford the good brands so I'm giving up reefkeeping. for the year it was working my monti cap, leptastrea, euphyllia, turbinaria, and trachyphyllia really started growing thanks to the stable chemistry. but now they're all dead.

Don't give up! The new Red Sea is a very nice pump and easy to program. If I buy another pump it will be that one. Sorry for the later reply...sometimes I think RUclips doesn't notify me about comments.

Hi all! quick question, when my pump doesn't proceed to dosage for some time (like 24h), the inlet tube liquid slowly flows back to the solution container. What can i do about it because i thought peristaltic would retain the liquid when off ?

Hi jojo….buy a check valve. That will solve your problem.

Fishy Snowman - Thx! GHL will never leave. I love that pump. Once you get them connected to your WiFi and set up on MyGHL, etc...they’re amazing. 😉 Honestly, this Jebao isn’t too bad for $70. It has really good reviews too. I needed another pump to dose Acropower, Phytoplankton, etc. Too lazy to manually dose. 😜

Fishy Snowman - How are you dosing brother? Do you have a pump to or CaRx?

Reefahholic I’m just about ready to order one. Liking the Jabeo Don’t really want to spend $450 for the GHL even though it looks awesome. Maybe at another date

Fishy Snowman - Honestly man, they really work well for the money ($70). If you can have it in a place to get to the control on top of it or might it vertical like you see here, they’re very easy to program. You can definitely get started with this one no doubt. Here’s a few reasons why I really like the GHL. You can access from the cloud, has its own software and phone app, can dose 150x per day (automatically), 8x per day (individually set), has 3 different speeds, can dose 8-45 ml a minute ( which is precisely adjustable down to even tiny 0.1ml), and also has level indicators and LED’s. :-) It’s super nice dosing from my phone on the couch or from work. Then if you combined it with the KHD for ALK monitoring it would be epic. The only downfall is that the KHD needs another unit for 3 extra heads. One head pulls sample water from the sump, the other is waste water, and the third would pull ALK regent. So yeah man, pull the trigger in the Jebao DP4. It’s a good pump too and plenty good reviews on it. For $70 you just can’t beat it bro! Best of luck!

Worked pretty well. I recommend GHL though. You can't beat it.
