Great video, very helpful. My DP-5 came today and I found all 5 pump lines were pinched.
Just in addition to the calibration part of this video, I calibrated all 5 pumps last night to 100ml was perfect every test dose.
I unplugged the unit and then retested and found all 5 pump heads was off calibration by around 3-10ml.
Had to recalibrate and then got near to ml set on unit, was around 2ml off after calibration so had to dose less on the unit to get 2ml more to equip was dose I need.
Power outages - check calibration on your pumps!

Thanks for your detailed video! I just got a DP-4 with WiFi. It wasn't dosing on the time I programmed it for and I didn't know why. Apparently I set the Interval time to 1 day, thinking that meant to dose every day. Thanks to your video, now I know that "1 day" means every other day. Whew! I thought I was going to need to return the item. Now I am very pleased with its performance and price value. Thanks!

I followed the setup video and the front modification to move the dosing heads and it came out GREAT!! I did cut a clear piece of plexiglass to fit the new hole.

Phenomenal video! Thank you thank you thank you for such a detailed instructional video! I have been looking into dosing and I was so overwhelmed hearing about measurements, how much to dose, etc., etc. You have eased my mind and I now cannot wait to get my doser. I will be buying the Jaebo. A few questions...does the doser come with the air line hose? Did you have to buy anything separately for the doser besides the holding containers?
Great job. I though it was crap, but with regular use , it should be ok. My tubes were stuck as you said and carefully removing/ installing freed up the little hose.

Make sure you all calibrate with individual elements, as they are thicker than water so may need more revolutions per 100ml.

But doesnt it remove the calibration once you remove the silicone tube to place it on your tank? Since you dont wanna add the tap water thats hold up in the tube. Or do you put it in the tank with the water still on the tubes to not lose the calibration.

I had to fix the tubing upon arrival as well... but I cannot get the bottom part of the cap to snap on when reattaching... any suggestions?

It says interval 01 as each day when it is like you said ever second day..
00 is every day as you point out. The manual says "00 is no dosing"!
Great videos! Question.. if I wanted to run this on a Tuesday and Saturday. Would I set 2 different times for the same pump both with 7 day intervals? And I am assuming that in order to get it to run on the day you want you have to actually do the programing on the day of the week you want correct? As in if I want it to run every Saturday at noon I would need to program it on a Saturday morning with a 7 day interval. Does this make sense? Lol

Hi noob question guys. If after calibrating all of them will connect new tubing for purpose of dosing I believe bubbles will come back and was wander how to make again hoses wet full of solutions ( or should I calibrate with solutions straight away)?

No it dosnt matter at all just run it a km up the road you'll be fine hahahaha , does it matter if you run out of gas in a fucking airplane, hahahaha, hope that answered your question
will the calibration (RPM) for the ml change with different length of the tube at the disposer?
Niharika Shetty it kinda doesn’t matter because if it does change the doser will be consistent still. Even if it’s u see dosing it will be under dosing consistently. Not sure if that makes sense lol.
EAT SLEEP Reef thank you so much! and also when I was calibrating with water to the 100ml, like you have showed in your video, I noticed that it after few RMP it didn't pump the water but the RMP kept moving ahead. I also released all the kinks in the tube prior to the use of the auto doser like you showed in your video. Where am I going wrong?
Niharika Shetty, there could be air trapped in the dosing head unit stopping the fluid from making it to the rollers. Also, the length of tubing you use will not effect the calibration. The calibration is read/measured at the dosing head not the end of the tubing, you will just have a longer time purging the air from the longer line. I have had my DP-4 since 2013 and it still works great.
Does anyone know what the comm port in the back is for??? Its like an ethernet port. Is this apex compatible!?!?!?!

ERMAN SMITH don’t quite understand? These are the steps for calibrating and recalibrating. So same steps if I understand correctly.
I recommend using a scale instead of cylinder be more accurate.

yuyiboy yes it does. It has a battery inside that saves program and time when unplugged.

Actually there is a HUGE FLAW to this calibration process. Though everything else is sound, the process here does not account for the length of the tube and the distance the liquid needs to travel. Jump to 24:55 where the calibration revealed that 100ml = 185 RPM. That's only based on the distance traveled to the measuring cup he used. I'm pretty sure both his and your doser is further away from the tank being dosed. If that's the case, then 185 RPM will not push 100ml up that distance and into your tank. This calibration process then must take place from the install location in order for it to give you a more accurate result. This, I appreciated this video and I'm giving it a thumbs up.
I know this is an old post, but felt worth mentioning the length of line is irrelevant if all of the lines are primed (as they should be) and just as important an RO check valve to keep the prime in those lines. If you stop and think about it for a minute, that should make sense.

All the money we spen on livestock and corrals, this is not the doser to use. I was using one to dose calcium bicarbonate to raise ph in my fw 75. It would not hold calabration and would miss dose or not dose at all. Almost wiped out my tank, then stopped working all together. Its not easy to make adjustments to especially in a cramped stand. Not a well made product at all.
