Definitely. This tunnel is awesome.
I love how people from their couches comment, that you should make your tunnel bigger and possibly even say that what you do is stupid. I love that you have a theme which you base your idea and concept around and I really think you should persue that no matter what others say. In the end YOU are building this tunnel and YOU "alone" will physically benefit from this, we are just here for the ride. Keep on diggin'!
I think the theme is going to be clear this weekend if we can both get all the videos out 😀

Probably sick of the furze comparisons but I'm loving the differences between the two. Colin's tunnel is very much post apocalyptic evil lair, and Tunnel Dave is very much Great Escape with some modern flair. I love it.
That’s exactly what I’m creating 👍 we can’t all do the same theme and with this being an old army camp it’s the perfect place for the army theme. I always hoped I would find an underground bunker here by accident but they didn’t build one here so have had to make my own 😀
I know a Jim who is blowing out air as well. You are doing a great job sticking to real history

Maybe a spade bit för the drill, like a small garden trovel? We Somme times dig by hand at work, for cables. If its lots of stones its easier with a trovel than a big spade, and lighter work. Speed is almost the same...

If you haven’t already;
Ground that tunnel on to the electrics with having that pump. Electricians ground gas and water pipes because they bring a path to earth into a house. That tunnel is one big connection to earth.
It’s connected to the metal container that is grounded away so should be ok, but I hadn’t even thought about it so thanks 😂

Dale digs down downunder. I had to shut it down due to to many issues with people talking about what I was doing at work. Long story but no approval and wanting to keep it secret had to wait a while and start over again. Loving your videos mate. Keep it up.

Is it safe that there is space between the soil and the tunnel? Does those gaps need to be filled to stop it falling?
There is a very small gap, I might be able to pump some really wet concrete in once I’m done
Do you have a lazer cutter back at the big shop with the plazma cutter & awesome benders??
All those big river rocks could be logo cut on a lazer & make great merch. (Like the shovel you made back in IIRC part 2 or part 3) something neat that could be shipped out for us fellow crazy people to put on our mantle or bookshelf.

Tip when prototyping on plasma, laser etc. Tab round parts so you can drop them back in the sheet to rework them. Saves lots of scrap for test fit stuff :)
Or make a 0,0 reference edge that's bolted to the machine so you can place a part in the corner of the bed and it'll be positioned spot on for rework.
I had already took the waste off, I thought about drilling it but thought I would be quicker restarting 😀
This tunnel gives me true secret tunnel vibes. Imagine stumbling upon this well and then seeing this massive narrow tunnel with an old cart ready to wheel on down it. Would you take the ride??

Can you do a mini episode one day about that bending brake of yours?
It looks like you're putting the workpiece in by hand and then judging it by eye before bending it. Is that right, or does it have robotic stops that you're pushing the work up against or some end stop or something?
I just need to align to the stops and the rest of it is programmed, I want to do a video on drawing a part cutting and folding soon, I can skip all the nonsense and explain the basics quick hopefully people will like it 😀

It would be fun to have an "extended" edition with old footage added in. Like they do with popular movies and the "extended release editions"
Would be fun to see more from each old vid. Unfortunately, that would mean lots of editing time, which would mean less digging time.

Yes and no, this year my plan is to concentrate on my storage company anyway as with the downturn in the economy people won’t want to spend so much on toys.
The tunnel is only a small part of the project so all my spare time will be taken up by this all year. Plenty more to come 😀

2. They didn't have a plasma cutter and a 30 ton press in Stalag Luft 3! I reckon you should get rid of all the modern gumph and do it like the originals mate. 😅😅

@@stratanl1323 I have learnt it all off RUclips, I’ve never done a training course, I was going to do some tips on here myself as the ones I watched weren’t as clear as I thought they could of been. Got to get the tunnel done first before I bore everyone 😂
