- We have long since wholesaled this thing off so this is the last video you all will see on this car! In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2000 Buick Century . I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
As the owner of a 2001 Buick century this breaks my heart seeing the condition of this buick makes me have greater application for my century and all cars in General
That also makes me sad 😞
I Have a Buick Century and i love it. It really saddens me to see one in this condition I actually wanna cry when I see a car treated this way.
Jett Guymer I used to have a buick century myself they're nice cars when they are taken care of
Its just a run to the mill type of car. Most are gonna be in this condition.
Address brother what thinking about skip oil change fix start plug winning 159 Green Buick centry how to make sale much prince looks pink ship dmv asking right now grab sihurei yes hit bro sense yup yes or no answer to Harrell ladell Rushton jr
Kyle, this is a great example of why I love your videos. Most of the cars you show us are in great shape, but it's ones like these that keep me entertained. Don't get me wrong, I love the exotics you come across once in a while, but I tend to enjoy the shitty cars, their mysteries and your commentary a lot more. Remember the Celica GTS convertible? I know you do ;) Keep these things coming!
how do you get a buick century repo'd??? you can buy a bakers dozen of the fucking things for 5 bucks on craigslist
When you own one of these you already know the signs of a few window motors and a headlight switch has been replaced. The gauges prnd321 needs a few radio shack resistors to fix that and there is a video here for that(I see it's already been fixed in the newer vids) Sad thing is I seen 4 cars in the J Yard same year with 90% less interior damage. Front sways were all broke. guess I'm the only one who swapped that out too.
Nice old video and nice car. Thank you.
The first time the Buick came it looked so nice on the isnide besides the floors and the outside was pretty good
that knock at the beginning its common in a cold start for these 3.1 L engines. Loose fitting pistons... they expand with heat and it goes away
I'd disagree. My grandma has one. She bought it brand new in 2004. We have taken it from Northern Illinois to Florida twice. Nothing has ever gone bad on it in 125,000 miles.
That smoking thing, it probably is from just sitting. Before I got rid of my Cougar it sat for seven months before I got a hold of it and it smoked even worse. Of course I got rid of it because I blew the engine, but... you know.
LOVE the sound of your car starting up, by the way.
I have a 2002century,90,ooo miles always maintained, it taps like a lifter issue ,always has ,most people are not patient with anything these days, let you vehicles idle a few seconds, without putting your foot in it ,your car will last much longer.😊
I had a 2000 Buick Century very similar to this one until this summer and this vehicle had several issues with it that mine had...the brake feedback, gas gauge being bad and the odometer display being out were 3 of the reasons why I wound up unloading it...
This is why i love ur videos, they are awsome
all the lights on the dash are on, love that song
My mother had one of these. For three years it broke down. It was always the windows too. One was a wire under the dash, the control panel for the windows on the drivers side broke after switching the passenger lockout switch, and both back windows and a driver window had the cables inside broke like at 3:44. The back ones we ended up just putting a stop inside so they wouldn't roll down. Also the mileage was horrible... it got 18 city and 18 highway... that's it. Traded it in for a *LOADED* 2004 Toyota Avalon XLS... Still have it and she loves it so... glad we got rid of it.
+Aaron Ries I have never had any issues with the window motors with my 03 Century. 110K and still runs like a top. I have no doubts it will go another 100K. I don't know what kind of driving your mother was doing...I get way better mileage than 18. My commute is 80 miles round trip every day, 40 percent city 60 percent highway. I average 28 on regular gas and 32 with non-ethanol gas (when i can find it). Again, that's city and highway driving, 65 MPH steady on the highway, variable in town.
Great video Kyle! It makes me sad though, I've heard nothing but good about those Buicks, it would have made a good car for someone.
cool car. be fun to fix up and drive around. good flip
Haha, my familys old 1993 toyota corolla was in a similar condition to this. We beat the hell out of that car, but the engine always worked brilliantly and it drove fine. I sometimes miss that car, its nice to have a beat up old car that always works and you dont have to bother too much to clean or wash it. Its sold now though.
one positive thing about that car is that it runs
My parents used to have a 2000 Buick LeSabre Limited, it got flooded a few years ago, and we donated it in like 2018.
If u watch this in 2016 thumb left
gil zur hmm
I feel so bad for that car. That car could be one bomb ass car if someone would take care of it!
Lol , Hell Naw ! That Car Went Thur Hell & Back .
1:56
why is cynthia's booster seat in that car
Did not look like that in the first video back in 2009
That's because the owner has fucked it up even more
Joshua Whitman ya it looks mint back in 09
Cereal marshmellows would sell that and say "1 owner buick, In GREAT CONDITION. besides-"
did you get rid of it in as is shape?
Is this the same Buick that was test driven back in 2009?
My grandparents have that same car but in beige same year as well it is the Century 2000, plus their century has 83,000km & it is excellent shape than that green century.
@pergousongandra No problem. Actually the 3100 sfi had the intake problem too, but if you change thedextron crap for regualr green prestone 50/50, you shouldnt have that problem anymore. Luckily the 3.1 MPFI motor doesnt have this problem!! Cool!
Hey Kyle, You Should Do A Detail On That Buick Century At The Dealership, Just A Suggestion
havent had too bad of luck with my 2002 and it has about 140,000 miles on it and i can barely feel the gear changes, only maybe when i jump on it sometimes. plus side i get great gas mileage.
I'm sorry who treats a car like this so sad! They need to take better car of this car.
What did you do with the car?
Kyle can this car fit in 6 passengers? Because i was planning to buy this car
the buick century isnt a bad car. my mom had a 99 one. the reason we got rid of it was it had leaks in the cooling system and to fix it they had to take the whole engine apart
How much? I was going to go to an auto auction for video production and get a running car and crash it. Can I get a working car for 100 there?
no
TNN Media fuk
@Darkherooftheday Yup, mine has had piston slap since 30k miles, and it now has 205k, but has never gotten worse.
That wasnt a knock, that was piston slap. These engines are designed to do that, they had loose fitting pistons that gave it better engine life. And the smoke was steam.
You made me nervous there! When I saw the video title I thought that it meant that you would stop doing videos! Don't terrify me!
how do you tear a car up that bad? did they know it was getting repo'd?
This thing was definitely used over the years. I wonder where it is now...
@@JustARandomGuy-1234 yup. Cars in that kind of condition are found in those places 😂
That video in 2009 looked clean
@Corvette1658 Ehh rims are fine. , and kyle dont apologise for your camera, IMHO it does fine, and it does its only job well. it tells teh truth. ive seen some gnarly repos. ( ive repoed 200 or so cars. i freelance as a "skip tracer", this car looks bad, but after a few hours of cleanup would be just fine
I am probably gonna by this car that why I am here
It'll be soon before I get my first car. Should I get a 2000 century or 2000 regal?
Regal. If you can get the gs version. Much faster and nicer interior
Thanks. It means a lot
+Ethan Hamm did you get a regal?
I don't have a car yet
If you want sporty and luxurious, get a Regal. If you want less luxury, but a smoother ride, go for the Century.
What's whole sale mean? Scrap?
i disagree, i have never had a issue with the electrical on mine and it has 178,000 miles, it has great performance, will do 0-60 in between 7 too 9 seconds, the only issue im having is hard shifting beacuse the previous owner was foolsih enough to let a idiot work on the transmission, easy too fix, gas milage is 30MPG, probably better now that i have A K&N air filter element and NGK V power spark plugs, it handles great and is very comfortable to drive and ride.
Is this it for sell? How much?
@crystalscan2002 it's already scraped. If you meant will it be SCRAPPED, well who knows?
old cold forgotten
It probably seemed like a relief to even temporarily climb into your much cleaner Hyundai (...or at least I think that's yours) after being in that other car that was so dirty.
Their was a owner with it?
@saabkyle04 By " rid" you mean junked it? Who would buy it that messed up if it was not junked?
why is this the last video
saabkyle is over?
I'd be a good beater. Especially up here in the winter.
Poor Buick
+James Harrington GM does not care? As far as they are concerned, this car's time has come and gone.
James Harrington I know. i actually cringed seeing it in that condition. People wonder why they have nothing nice and it's because they don't know how to treat their items with respect. Hopefully who ever ends up with it will fix it up.
@saabkyle04 Did you sell it? If yes, for how much?
Any updates on this car
come on Kyle.....show us ur skills on Detailing this baby
I saw a 2000 Buick Century for sale for $700, but It did not have a title.
we have a century custom and the only electrical problem was a bad window motor but the gear ratios are really stupied.
how much?
How horrible how people tread cars , did you get it going well or was it bad ?
How do you like these cars in general or the Le Sabre
+scully Lol, He has a video on an uncared for 1999 Malibu as well. You should check it out.
+toyoscio Yeah, I filmed a 99 Cutlass, omg man xD check it out...
@pergousongandra the 3400s were, the 3100 is good.
@saabkyle04 did it get crushed
sounds like the lifters in the video, maybe you should put thick engine oil in it and sell it at the auction
No matter how bad the rest of the car gets, that 3100 will probably be the only thing still alive.
@6:04 Magic!
I love that buick century i want to know is it for sale i mite give her a good loving home
my dad had the same car but it was a 01 and it was blue color + it was in better shape
How did trash got their?
This car runs good, someone has been to lazy to clean it,
@saabkyle04 11,300 miles on the Hyundai already? Well at least she sure sounds good! :)
@PRO50MUSTANGS Just because the economy is tanking doesn't mean a car should be neglected or people should take on such an investment that they risk falling deeper in debt. Obviously the person who had this car and the previous owner were deadbeats who didn't want to make the payments. Whatever it's their loss and it's their credit rating that will lower.
Also, if the kid came first like you said in your comment why didn't the owners of the car remove the seat?
your cars is so nice wwoowwowooo
@saabkyle04 wow haha thats alot for a 2010. My Dad has a 2008 Honda Odyssey with 52,XXX miles
this is what happens when you get things "HANDED" down to you!! looks like the owner just gave up on it. pitty because it had many pretty years ahead of it. this is why people need to work hard save up and buy thier own car to appreciate it more
That's just fucking filthy man I ain't lying I mean fucking seriously
I don't understand what you wanted to do with this wreck. It should go the wreck yard and get turned into a new toaster of something.
+mixhael6609 Lol, that could be said for many of GM's models back in the 80s, 90s and 2000s.
This is when GM was the best to me now they all lack soul and character... just trying to get sales
Kyle there was probly aids on that straw, and who knows what all those stains are.....that's straight up trife lol
Well if i live in the site that you live in i would had buy the car redo it like re paint like a cool blue redo in inside and put a new Engine i would had put a 3800 Super charged engine in it and put on new tire's and cool rams on it but i don't drive and i live in IL if i did drive and i live in NC i would had buy the car and fix it up really good.
i have to agree
1:47 Phineas y Ferb
That steering wheel looks like something from ice age.
So does your grand mami
I believe that’s an L82
Well my shitbox has lasted over 200,000 miles.
At :28...that tire is comletely bald!! Only one line of tread
@saabkyle04 wow this thing must have been abused bad i have one just like it with 206k miles and runs like new no smoke at all......i dont understand why people beat their cars
And if It had gas it would be old
I would have bought it! (For a decent price...HAHA)
The horrible anti-theft system has led to a lot of these models towed to the junk yard.
Ill bet someone a pretty penny that a baby mama owned this thing....
I don't know how the hell some people can drive a vehicle in that condition, just throw trash in it and claim to take care of it, and bitch an complain they the car ain't workin right.
poor car. Sounds like the headgaskets are starting to go off on the car.
Shampoo the interior; top off the fluids and sell.
well it looks nasty but when did ur parents get this car?
It's ashamed because the people that owned it didint take care of it
