I think if we bat first we will collapse..😢bcz in this venue no of dot balls are high in our team no one will stay calm or take the game to final phase ..even virat also playing very aggressively..so i think if we bowl first and restrict them in 130--140 we can chase down in my POV❤

Mr ashwin adelaide pitch and ground size is different from those in guyana. But definitely a balance between anchoring and aggression is a must considering the way guyana pitch has played so far in this wc.
I agree with you Ash. Being extra careful because it is a semi or final let us down in 2022 and 2023. We should shut out outside noise and let out our aggressive side to catch the opposition unaware
we were extra cautious in 2023 because we tried altering the pitch to be slower and didnt have no.6/7 proper batters and 4 n 5th batters were playing in 12th over with 38 overs to go...toss played a crucial role..2022 agreed but that was coz of weakness to see thro their bowling

Regarding Robin vs Ashwin’s approach, I sometimes feel the answer is in between. Its like a pendulum. Infact both of your views can be married and used accordingly. What I mean here is, India shouldn’t back out of the aggressive approach but if there is a situation like 10/4 (god forbid not) you don’t want a Rishabh or Hardik or any batter to keep swinging, keep the aggression going. At that time, batters probably need to readjust their role and take the team to a fighting or competitive total and transfer the pressure while fielding by taking the half chances and make scoring harder. However, if there is no intent or aggression in the field, you’re already out the game. So, I feel holding on to wickets dearly doesn’t cut it in a knockout. There needs to be intent to win the game right from ball 1 but by taking calculated risks. However game awareness is going to be the key as England would definitely come hard at India knowing it's track record in knockouts. That’s where I believe India should sneak attack on England showing them why this time it’s different. Infact Indians have nothing to lose if they take a look at past and say alright we have lost a lot of key battles and championships, so lets go and kick some ass and have fun. For real this should be the mindset. But doesn’t mean a "mindless aggression". I would say mindful and calculated aggression.
England has a lot of weak link in their bowling attack and the stage is perfectly set for the likes of Kohli to comeback with batting. He is a fighter and will come hard when pushed into a corner (although he is heavily criticised unnecessarily). Agree with Robin here. Need to assess the condition and pick the phases where team India can play their aggressive brand of cricket, and who to target. It’s semis and there will be pressure for both sides. My guess is whoever trusts the conditions and plays sensible cricket will make it to the semis.

Conditions changes in day and night game for better batting generally in the second innings. Same thing happened jn previous world cups. Day game especially at 10:30 am will be more fair for both teams
Stats and analysis don't give u the actual figure. Pdog said 180 in Beausejour Stadium was a wining total but end of the day 181 was scored by Australia and only because of fearless batting of Rohit Sharma we got to 206 so we have to not have a mindset of anchoring irrespective of conditions.
It's going to be a great sf pitch is spin friendly ind hv a slight advantage but 3 of you not talk about rain if it rains shorten game toss is crucial
Can you take it as just another game. Stick to the process and what you have been doing in all these matches. Whether India can do that or not will very much decide the fate of the match imo. Also Rohit the captain will be very important I feel. Because there will be times when we will be put under pressure, especially in the field. And I have seen one thing especially in KO and big matches, when we are hit for runs and the opposition gets momentum, our bowling becomes slightly wayward, our fielding takes a hit and we get disturbed. That's where the captain and his plans will again be important. All the best boys
