It appears to me that you captured these trains a couple of months before you uploaded this video. My reason for saying this is that I see the blue paper plant in this video. I read where 40 miles of the Clinchfield rail line was heavily damaged by Helene. Drone video showed a rail bridge washed away and lots of rail line also washed away.

JT: there’s a plate on the vertical tube that gives the location in detail and the 800 number which you can call and lets the RR know that the device does not work.
My cousin’s husband was an engineer with Canadian National all his career and suffers from PTSD from the number of vehicle/people collisions and near misses. So many lives get lost at level crossings and the victims are not the only people affected by these dumb attempts to save a few minutes.
Hey JT you need to go by a truck stop and get a DOT rules and regulations book it's got a part in it for haz mat and there will be pictures of the placards and the numbers and it tells you what the chemicals are
Storms, hurricanes etc have been destructive forever and can always cause power outages but that’s no excuse for governments obsession with closing coal-fired power plants. This just makes a bad situation worse! As Jaw Tooth says: “Coal keeps the lights on”.
Guess in the 70s and 80s Chesapeake and Ohio (chessie system) share their lines with Norfolk and Western back then cuz this ain't the first time this kept happened

That last train had it all.
Yesterday I had a train like that. It even had the Southern Railroad locomotive in the middle. Then I noticed that my camera wasn't filming. Lol

I had a couple there where the gate hit the cars. Wait a minute I did film one where a truck hit a crossing gate and broke it . I almost forgot
If I saw crossing malfunctioning, I would report it. There is usually a number to call on the set of lights.

Yes, that would be a great idea! I should have thought of that. I have only filmed the cardinal a handful of times almost always in the dark
