I'm really jazzed for this one. Seems like an almost perfect blaster to me. I would have liked to see a larger capacity on the drum however the rear loading makes up for it.
"Your eyes can deceive you don't trust them" -Obi Wan I'm going to be running this mostly with the drum mag for scavenger primary and what it has over the Tomcat is that the Stryker drum can be loaded from the rear. I already have my Pro X setup with a 12-inch Barrel Barrel extension and the the Bering scar. Worker stock in grip along with a Magpul pistol grip. The striker 2 seems to have no wobble in the stock or the foregrip. So far the only thing I've added was my own sites and I'm getting the fox games barrel adapter. I do like that this one has the Barrel in line and it's not so low like the Pro X
Better or worse is about asking yourself if you will use the drum. If you don't the Nexus x comes with 2 mags and I've heard that is a bit smoother due to the internals. I would use the drum so for me it is better. But both are excellent at 50$, that is unquestionable
I like the drum. I know it’s not for everyone but it’s just a fun gimmick. Though topping up on the go seems like it could be practical. I’ve never tried. Mag compatibility is an issue though. I don’t get why they made it like that. I’ve tried my local store they don’t have it yet.
What mag compatibility issue are you referring to? It takes straight Talon pattern mags which are the closest to a standard that exist in the hobby currently. The only ones that don't fit well are the older bespoke/Katana pattern mags from DZ/AF, or the Nerf Talons which have the lip because Hasbro hates the idea of using those in anything but the Stryfe X but that's been a known and resolved issue by just cutting/grinding the lip off.
@@MrGimbles1 looking forward to your thoughts. I have one and I love it! I never picked up a nightingale so the venom is a real great blaster for me and my budget.
The drums are really puzzling, especially considering they went to the trouble of making a brand new design that's not back compatible. They almost made sense on the Tomcat with a 50 round capacity. Almost. Most people used the drum once and then acknowledged that three 18 round stick mags work better in almost every way.
This blaster is having an identity crisis. I don’t love the mag adapter, just looks cheap and finicky. They should have made it drum compatible only and offered 2x drums and a BCAR instead of a SCAR.
I’m 27 years old..... I’m looking at nerf blaster at 1am eating a chocolate bar
Lmao nice
I feel called out😂
As you should my man
200 fps out of the box with a magazine AND drum? Hell yeah!

Agreed. I wish it came with 2x 40x round drums. The mag adapter looks rushed. Should just be drum fed.
Should I get the nexus pro x or the Stryker 2.0? I am conflicted between having a regular scar or a bcar.
Drums are great for scavenging. Really prefer it to the mags for this blaster. If I want a mag fed blaster I’m just gonna use the NPX.

When I first saw this, I thought it was a TomCat 2.0 😅 . But I am so hyped to get this one.

@c146w yeah, which is great, just weird that DZ didn't make it compatible with their older mags as well
This is cool and all but I don't feel the need for it as I have similar blasters that fill this role. The venom pro on the other hand....bring it! 😄

Im curious if firing from the cylinder or the magazine makes any difference in fps or accuracy?
@@grantponciano9386 I didn't notice too much in fps difference, accuracy may vary, especially if ur slam firing

I'll probably use both the mag and drum.
Dart Zone said the old mags won't work. Idk what they changed on the new ones.
@@DEADMANSFOAM-DirtyD idk either, kinda strange
Old styles were similar to katana (in terms of catch location and geometry) new style are very close to worker talon
