I have both, and have modded both of them. You really can't go wrong with either, unless you don't like to mod. If that's the case, the Stryker definitely edges out the Longshot. I have to say this video was pretty comprehensive!
Thanks for checking the video out🙏 comprehensive analysis is kinda my who thing so if you like that consider subscribing and don’t forget to comment your Instagram handle if you wanna get entered for the giveaway💪
Nice! I just have the Stryker and was able to mod pretty well, it can be tuned now to 144fps, 200, 220, and 260 with a scar barrel but was thinking abt getting the long shot because it seems to be a lot easier to mod. Which one was easier for you do you think?
Thank you for the tip on spinning the plunger to check for cracks. I went to buy one at my local Target and out of the three that were there one of them had a crack that I saw after spinning the plunger 360 degrees.
I've got both. I prefer neither, both have faults. The bullpop design is superior, but the blaster is so cheaply made. I wish there were more mod kits for the stryker because it's better then the nexus. You coudl buy both or just use the money and buy a Gf trion (which is what i would do) or save some more and buy a worker seagull which destroys all the competition.
Yes, I agree that if you spend considerably more money you can get a better primary but that isn’t the point of this video. For $125 that the seagull costs you could get 4 XSP Longshots. You can start a club or supply the whole family. And you can get it right now, today at about 2,000 location across the US while you are already getting groceries. As for the Trion… well, Gameface’s bigest mistake with that blaster was not getting it into storefronts because that thing is killer for the price.
Both are great but for overall feel I have to give it to the Stryker. If the bullshot had the same plastic as the Stryker it would be the clear winner even if they were the same price. Great vid bro
Nice video, very comprehensive! I too have both blasters and have modded them. I prefer the X-Shot Long Shot, but I am a sucker for a bullpup blaster. Another trick with the Worker SCAR barrel is Mega XL darts fit over it nicely like a rifle grenade.
great comparison! I definitely agree with the final pick - the LongXShot is great for modders, but for anyone who doesn’t want/like to mod, the Stryker is a lovely option.
I have and enjoy both, but for a newbie to the hobby or a parent buying for their teen I'd recommend the Sryker. The Zuru Longshot just has too much of a build/QA issue with that plastic tube. Buying one off the shelf is a gamble every time. No one wants to open a dud present.
I love my Stryker, probably one of the best blasters I have bought. I don’t own an XSLS, and probably never will, but I have played with a couple of them. they are a very cool blaster. I just don’t have room for one in my arsenal
Can’t wait for you to review the new Nexus Pro X it’s the clear winner over both of these. With a price a little more than the xsls and little less than the Stryker.
I believe the max stryker should be given away: given the attachments it has, the performance, the ergonomics, overall a rewarding blaster. Xshot is nothing to scoff at, at all, but yeah, Max Stryker is pretty rad.
Totally agree both blasters are good in their own rights and neither should be scoffed at! Don’t forget to put your Instagram handle if you want to be entered for the giveaway!
This video convinced me to go and get a longshot, and wow, it's so good! I love the ergonomics, and only thought it would be good after modding, but it's actually really good out of the box!
Yeah it’s definitely great out of the box. It’s just not quite as good as the Stryker with no mods but then you factor in mods and that longshot pulls way ahead
I decided to test the xshot scar and it does work albeit it isn't the same as a worker scar but it still does considerably tighten the grouping hence the 5/5 on long darts
I found that the weaker spring in the longshot's half dart mags causes jams in other dart blasters regularly but not in itself, tested on nexus pro and dzp MK4 and jammed in both almost straight away. Other half dart mags work perfectly on the longshot though. It's definitely the mags and not the ammo as tested them and they work perfectly fine.
the xs longshot mag is pretty bad, and it's not just the spring. The tolerance is pretty loose and darts can almost start to double stack. I had multiple jams in mine using 3 different types of darts (so it's not just the xs stock darts). Luckily just about any other mags work in this thing as far as I can tell.
Yeah i mentioned that modding would be required for the XSP Longshot but I think I should have worded it better: it will break, so upgrading parts is innevitable
Yeah There is also a light resresh now available at walmart as well as target. there is a change to the graphic so maybe there are performance increases as well?
I think the Stryker would be a nice addition to my collection. I have the xsp longshot and that thing is so much fun with extended barrel and worker scar. Valberti87
DZ Max Stryker has my vote. They are similar guns but I think the Stryker has a more "classic" look, while the Longshot is a more trendy and busy design. If you are just starting out, then they are both good picks! @thermoalchemist
I only have the longshot its cool but i have never tried a nexus/stryker. The aesthetic of the stryker is awesome though so i would prefer that one. cranford_the_law
Nexus is a little different as well. Has a vertical fore grip, different attachments than the Stryker, and a split level top rail. Maybe we should give one of those away on the channel again soon 🤔

@@kingofgames234 Doesn't it have jamming and trigger problems?
@@David_R._8108 which blaster?
@@kingofgames234 The Trion
@@David_R._8108 yeah some early trions had that issue but mine never did. And I’ve heard that the later production ones no longer have that issue.

Very true! I used it like that last weekend during a zombies round! Very handy

Glad you liked it! Definitely considering doing more of this format in the future
I think it’s a very solid and comprehensive format, keep it up 👍
I got the Max Stryker sent to me when it came out. At that time the safety goggles weren't included so that's a nice addition.
Yeah that is probably the standard for max line blasters moving forward. Solid choice on their part.
@@kingofgames234 yes and to be commended.
I had no idea both blasters are compatible with worker scars! Can't wait for the mod guide!
I have and enjoy both, but for a newbie to the hobby or a parent buying for their teen I'd recommend the Sryker. The Zuru Longshot just has too much of a build/QA issue with that plastic tube. Buying one off the shelf is a gamble every time. No one wants to open a dud present.
Fair point!
Too late already bought both lol. I like both cause theyre both pretty great affordable CQB blasters. Both really compact
Totally agree! And both are so budget friendly that either would make a great loaner blaster if you buy both and end up preferring one specifically
Really like the XLS, wish they would make a more dense/rigid plastics for it, maybe a v2 or “pro x” successor like the nexus pro got?
Very thorough comparison. Thank you.
Stryker is on sale at Target for $30 as of 12/17/2023
Good catch! Now they are the same price
As normal, you have some of the best intros!
🙏🙏🙏
You’re too kind!
I prefer the xsls. With a metal PT, spring upgrade, and a bcar muzzle replacement, it is much better than a modded Stryker for less money.
I love my Stryker, probably one of the best blasters I have bought.
I don’t own an XSLS, and probably never will, but I have played with a couple of them. they are a very cool blaster. I just don’t have room for one in my arsenal

No problem! Makes things easier for holiday shopping… especially for parents.

Can we see a demo of the performance improvement when using the scar barrel?

Cost about $30 in parts to mod the Longshot to a 280+ FPS destroyer of worlds. Metal tube, 45 cm barrel, K25 and a 3d printed barrel adapter.
I hit 300 fps with a 50cm barrel and all the rest of the parts you mentioned!
Loved the comparison and I think the x shot is the one
Mac Stryker has my vote. Longshot jams too much and isnt as easy to mod, plus i actually like the scope, plus the Xshot magazines are not great.
Looks like the velocity varies from blaster mine hits 170?
Yeah there is some variation
Do adventure force waffle head darts work with the long shot?
I wish I had one of these they look so cool!
