Beautiful bike, but I just can't get my head around open bellmouths... I'd have to try and fit some sort of air filters on them...

I've never seen an anti-clockwise Smith's tacho! And I will say it, why the silver frame :-) A very pretty bike and IMO worth the money (although if I had it I would get the frame painted black.

In full agreement on the issue of the chrome subframe, the reverse sweep tacho would be hard to get used to as well..

Agree on the frame Ian , the anti-clock tachometer is correct as direct drive from the camshaft, until 1965 , then the ' right angle ' gearbox drive was adopted on the updated bikes in 1966.Engine sounds not in full ' tune ' to me !

@@Roger.Coleman1949 I've never noticed the tacho cable coming straight off the camshaft before. Every day's a school day. My Bonnie was a 71.

@@ianbooth4255 Yes, I had a ' 71 T120R , OIF , and the instruments were the updated BSA style clockwise ones, I also had a '65 T120 , and it was like this one, there was a dissadvantage though as the cable could get knocked against the exhaust and melt the outer covering !.Must admit I liked this quirky feature , as the needles seemed to go in a symmetrical opposite directions , but I think it was a generally disliked feature and was changed for the ' 66 season , new style seat and tank badges , 12 volt , bigger front brake.
