Kayaking Black Earth Creek - Black Earth, WI to Mazomanie, WI - June 2024

Put-in at the Shoe Box Landing in Black Earth, WI. Take-out at Lions Park (John’s Landing) in Mazomanie, WI. Both the put-in and take-out have dedicated locations with parking. Deadfall was not an issue. The trip is about 6 ½ miles and took us 2 ½ hours or so.

The water level for this trip was 2.3’ or 80 CFS at the Black Earth Creek gauge in Black Earth, WI. This was a very nice water level with some scraping but nothing bad; not hang-ups and not too high or too fast.

Thanks for the comment. The footprint of my paddling is rather small so I will trust you on that one. I will say that we have a large number of great options close to home.
