@@Tourismcommittee Hung Gar is the form of kung fu that all the other earth benders bending is choreographed from. But for Toph they used a unique style called Chu Ka Southern Praying Mantis. Now Chow Gar (which if I remember correctly, I may be wrong) is a branch off of Chu Ka which is the original style developed back in the 15th century.
One shouldn't bounce there energy. Eg. Dun poc (at 1.03). The energy i beleave he was trying to teach is called chum. I also believe one should understand something before one can teach it.
